Lovely site with plenty of space for each unit available.

Although slightly dated, the facilities were sufficient. Showers were great No complaints.

Excellent value for the money paid.

 Lovely location with friendly owners.

The showers and toilet block had seen better days.

Overall, overpriced based on the lack of investment in facilities.

Chose this campsite as half way meeting point with friends from up north. My other half came up 1 night before me,

The owner said he had no record of our booking, although I had phoned home and booked us on and paid a deposit, so he had to pay £66 for the 3 nights 🤔.

It's a lovely scenic campsite, facilities very basic (1970s), but the positive is a lovely pub within 2 mins walk and right next to the River Severn. Would come again.

The weekend we came there was a bikers rally, fantastic. Great music and friendly people, also the it was the Tewkesbury medieval festival.

So winner all round

Lovely flat spacious pitches and a really great spot by the river.

The pub is next to the site which is good.

The toilet and shower facilities are basic and could do with some attention but they were clean and stocked with loo roll etc and seemed adequate for the number of people using them.

Would go again!

Stayed here for 2 nights on way to Exmouth. Stunning location with a pub just at the entrance to the site.

Mark the Manager did look a bit harassed on arrival however turned out to be a really nice guy.

The site wasn't very busy so we could choose our pitch. Water was on our pitch really handy.

Wc block did look tired however constant hot water. Mark explained the site floods every year so pointless doing any upgrades which is understandable.

Pub food was very good, friendly owners and we did get a visit from some classic bikers who were no problem whatsoever.

The river taxi not operating as the boat engine had been stolen during lock down. Shameful!

Defo worth a visit to this site.

On arrival we were met with a lukewarm reception. Told a pitch number and that was it. Most places explain where grey waste and chemical waste go as a minimum.

The site itself is ok just needs a bit of tlc, can't comment on the facilities as we didn't use them.

A 45 mins walk throughs fields to Tewkesbury was pleasant although I understand normally the pub next door operates a water taxi.

The pub was nice, but there was about 50 bikers camped there which made for a noisy stay with shouting etc after midnight and bikes revving early morning. Then Saturday night we tried to have a quiet meal and dvd and the music was so loud we couldn't hear our own TV.

First camping trip with young children. Easy to find, welcoming site manager and scenic pitch. Our tent looked out on the resident heron, ducks and moor hens. We could choose our pitch and had plenty of space for our 9x3m tent and two cars. Water point was in the centre of the field which makes it less than 10 metres from any of the pitches. The field is fenced and so safe for children and dogs. Which also made it a little difficult for the children as they are worried about large dogs. The shower/toilet block was kept clean and always had a plentiful supply of toilet paper. Obvious efforts had been made to update the facilities (new showers tiling and electric showers) but it still feels a little run-down (with the ceilings, floor and paintwork peeling due to condensation). I would return again.

Great location down a country lane about 10 minutes drive from Tewkesbury.

Very friendly warden. Toilet facilities are adequate although somewhat dated.

Large pitches and room for kids to play.

Nice pub adjacent to site although beer not kept well. Food is cheap and cheerful.

Boat ferry £1pp across to other side of river - its then only a 15 min walk into Tewkwsbury.

You MUST visit the Abbey. We were lucky enough to go in Musica week and heard the English String Orchestra who were quite magnificient.

This site is great for a one or two night stop on way from up north to Devon and Cornwall. Just off the motorway - but far enough away to be in the middle of knowhere - quite perfect.

We stayed at this pleasant site on the banks of the river Severn for 11 nights in our large tent. The warden enabled us to get an electric hook up by placing us on the field usually allocated to touring caravans. The site tends to fill up during the weekend but is lovely and quiet in the week. The toilet and showers are practical but could do with a bit of a sprucing up if opportunity arises.

The site warden was friendly and helpful.

The Lower Lode Inn is close on hand if you feel the need for a pint and a bite to eat. The pub also sells day licensing for fishing locally.

The Willows is well located for exploring the local area with Tewkesbury as the closest town (there's a pleasant walk from the site to the town).

Small site on the side of the river behind a pub, The site is right down the end of a narrow twisting lane.

Upon arrival we were able to choose a pitch.

Toilets are in need on an update / freshen up, but didn't bother us too much as we have our own facilities in the caravan.

Nice level hard standing pitch with plenty of water taps.

Didn't see and weren't given any rules, which is probably what led to a group in the adjacent camping field making noise until 1am.
