Good easy check in with warden, choice of available pitches. Pitches hardstanding with electric, water and waste, most have incredible views over the Firth of Forth.
The CAMC CL is now closed, you can still pitch there but pay same price as main site.
Showers and loos were immaculate - cleaned twice daily, piping hot showers.
Would suggest approach only from A915 (there is a lane from A917 which Sat Nav picks up but its more of a track).
Would have to agree with previous reviews that site looks untidy, lots of detris around. A good clear up would make this a top site.
We enjoyed our night there and would certainly stay again.

What a gem of a find. Fantastic location with a restaurant overlooking the water. Food was out of this world.
The owner went out his way to put Birthday balloons and confetti at the table for birthdays we were celebrating.
Some very nice walks and bus stops right outside site.
Looking forward to going back soon.

Amazing view! Lovely welcome, the best we had on our trip.
Facilities are ok but no shop. It is very quiet as no children.
The beach is quite a distance away so we didn't visit but Elie is a short drive away and that's amazing.

Everything was great.
The welcome and choosing a pitch for a great view for us and showing us a good field to take the dog for a walk.
The restaurant staff and food were excellent.
We will definitely return

Although this site has a good location and views out to sea, we found it rather tatty.
Yes it's quiet but perhaps more suitable for caravans than motorhomes because it is a long walk to the beach or anywhere else.
We stayed on the section that is a CMC CL which was cheaper at £22 per night, but again very tatty and the portacabin toilets in that area were definitely not clean.
It did not matter too much because we used our own facilities. In their favour all pitches seemed to be fully serviced with water and electric.
We were originally planned to stay 3 nights but left after one.
All in all I suppose you get what you pay for but this site could be so much nicer with a bit of TLC.

This was a lovely certified site with good facilities, including nice hot showers.
We had a fully serviced hard standing pitch that looked out onto the Firth of Forth, which was quite spectacular, especially when the sun shone across the bay when you could clearly see see May Island and the Bass Rock.
There is lots to do in and around the area, with lots of wildlife to view and fantastic walks along the Fife coastal path, which we thoroughly enjoyed. Although the weather wasn't kind all of the time we were there, it didn't stop our hiking activities so we got to travel quite a distance.
The nearby village of Upper Largo is the ancestral home of Alexander Selkirk (Robinson Crusoe) and a sculpture of him appears in the village, where it is well signposted.
The staff at Monturpie are excellent, very hospitable and we took advantage of having breakfast in the on site restaurant / tea room on our last morning (bear in mind the opening hours). The food was very good, great value for money and the service was first class.
The nearby Kilconquhar castle provided us with an excellent meal one evening, with first class service and good value for money. All in all Monturpie has lots to offer and although it is not the most luxurious of sites, it does provide for what the traveller needs and aside from the windy location, it is definitely somewhere we would intend to visit again.
I would advise taking initial supplies as there are no nearby supermarkets that we saw, although there are Aldi and Tesco supermarkets in the towns several miles away and make sure you have plenty of fuel as garages are few an far between in the immediate area.

Friendly welcome, Nice restaurant on site, toilet block and showers clean and tidy, Lovely views over the Forth from most of the site.
BUT. Could be a lovely site if not so generally untidy and unkept looking
Access roads could do with some maintenance as could some of the hard standing pitches and get rid of the scrap and general rubbish lying about the area between the site and restaurant.

This us my go to site. Absolutely love this site we came across it 8 weeks ago and this is our 4th stay.
The views are stunning the site is so quite. The toilets clean and tidy. The owners are lovely and so hard working just could not ask for anything else.
The food is the best you will find Breakfast in the restaurant then we had an afternoon tea takeaway and collected fish and chips at night everything was so fresh and huge portion.
Will be devastated when it closes for winter and hopefully we will have to pleasure to get back.
Duncan and family keep doing what your doing.

Small quiet site close to St Andrews.
Bus stop across from site entrance.
Short walk into Upper Largo where the local hotel sells lovely meals and at the time of our stay had local beer St Andrews brewing on tap.
Lovely views over to North Berwick. Large shower in ladies.
Very friendly accommodating owner.

Our third visit.
Enjoy the panoramic views over the Firth and with easy access to the coastal villages.
It is dog friendly with dog walks on site.
There is also a restaurant on site which has great cakes.
Special thanks to Duncan who helped us with a problem with our electrics when hitching up to leave.
