I rolled up unannounced on my bicycle. I was immediately welcomed by James who happened to be working on the driveway at the time.
I was given a quick tour and told I could pitch wherever I wanted.
LIKE; the friendly welcome. The choice of where to pitch.
The shower (great). There’s picnic tables in various places.
I was given a discount because I was travelling by bike, I don’t know if that’s policy or I was just lucky.

I was cycle touring and booking campsites as I travelled, I Contacted James at the Limes asking for a pitch on the Tuesday, He promptly replied the he had availability,
When I arrived later than planned I was met by James with a friendly welcome, as I Was alone he reduced the cost of the pitch,
I was told to pitch anywhere I liked and found a level spot overlooking the large pond in the middle of the site,
The shower and wash facilities were good, and there was a central wooden outdoor sink/ water wash up area on the green area close to my pitch which was convenient for placing gas stove,
The site was clean and the grass had been freshly cut.
James had good knowledge of all the local facilities in and around Spilsby and said if I needed anything just to knock on his door as he lives on the site.
The site was very quiet and peaceful, it is only a few miles from Spilsby and was in easy cycling distance for cafes and an evening meal,
I also found it within a short taxi drive to the Aviation Museum at east Kirby to see the Lancaster bomber display which past a wet Wednesday,
I originally planned to stay one night but liked the area so much I booked another night, great value for money thanks James.

James is a great host and very helpful in helping me site the van, it was a deferred stay as my Mother died on the day we were due to arrive.
James was very understanding and deferred the stay for later in year.
The site is nice and quiet with plenty to see in the area. Take your binoculars as the Woodpecker as amazing to watch.
Make sure you follow approach instructions if not its a Nifty reverse
Book with confidence of a great welcome and enjoyable stay.
Will definitely come again

Great little secluded site. Only a short drive to the coast.
The owner James couldn't have been more helpful as unfortunately it was quite wet when we stayed.

The Limes, wonderful from the word go! James, the owner was the most helpful and welcoming camp site host ever! He parked my van up perfectly, thank you, it was a long drive.
The site is small but roomy, well-spaced out and kept nicely. Its within easy reach of lots to do and the Heavy Horse centre just around the corner is a must.
We were given side by side pitches, with own taps and drainage as were travelling with friends, had the use of picnic benches and perfect view of the pond, we even saw a Lancaster fly over and the Red Arrows a couple of times.
I don't really want to share this place as it's so lovely.

Nice friendly run campsite
Lovely and clean
Shops, pubs all within short distance
Need a wash place for pots and pans, but I'm sure this will be done after covid-19 is over and safe to do so

Very friendly owner who assisted us on arrival, we were late due to a puncture on the way. James however was great and helped us to set up.
The site itself felt like it was in its infancy, it is a work in progress but still very pleasant and quiet. We were on a service pitch, which worked well and was very reasonably priced. Due to Covid we were unable to use the facilities so a service pitch was very useful.
The small town of Spilsby is about three miles away and has the usual outlets for food especially a really good fish and chip shop.
We cycle a fair bit and there are routs nearby which can be used safely to rid to other villages in the area or just to enjoy the countryside.
