Lovely quiet site situated down a quiet single track road. Best to access from the Church Stretton end, not Ticklerton. Swing it wide on your way in to the gate. A bit fiddly padlock and chain on the gate, but you soon get the hang of it.
Separate M & F toilet/shower rooms, perfectly adequate. £1 for 5 mins, or 20p per min.
Several seasonal pitches with just 4 slots for tourers. Slightly sloping, so make sure you have a ramp for sideways levelling and some blocks.
Fully serviced but take a long hose as taps are on opposite side to most caravan water inlets (15m was fine for us).
Church Stretton was good for a mooch about and Ludlow was well worth the trip. Make sure to visit the extensive castle ruins.
Buzzards and red kite seen over the site during our stay

Used for a stopover on the way home.
Good sized hardstanding pitches with grass between each pitch has ehu and water tap. Pitches nearer the gate are most level, further up the site you go are quite steep from front to back.
Although a 5 CL there are 9 pitches, looks like 4 or 5 are seasonal. The site is very tidy and well kept. Lovely views over the Shropshire hills.
Showers are £1 for 5 minutes, hot and powerful.
Nearest town is Church Stretton which is a bit quirky with some different shops to most High Streets.
Very peaceful, owner super helpful.
At only £17 for pitch and electric it's a great little place and one we will come back too.

Sloping pitches with lovely views - it is Shropshire. Chocks are available.
Friendly owners Merv and Kath.
Toilet block appeared to be newly renovated, shower and toilet each for men and women, showers are on a meter.
Nice peaceful site. The access lane is OK but did not feel safe walking the dogs along it, as nowhere to stand back from traffic.
Suggestions: Maybe a signal device on toilet block to say when occupied, as it is across the field. Some CL's have a light on a pole.
The entry gate with padlock code had to explained to us by other campers to get in.
There isn't a local pub to walk to easily, but the The Buck in Church Stretton has a wonderful Greek menu as well as normal pub grub.
If you want a nice peaceful, affordable site with good views this is it.

This is gem of a site situated in the Shropshire countryside. Access to the site is easy via a short drive off the road. There are all amenities at Church Stratton a couple of miles away.
The padlock key for entry is in a key safe operated by combination and is on elastic to reach the padlock. It would be easier if a combination padlock was used instead of this arrangement. It is excellent value for money.
Levelling is required on any of the avialable pitches but Melvyn provides blocks to assist with this. Pitches are of generous size, hard standing with water and power on each pitch.
There are separate facilities for Men and Women which were very clean. Hot showers are available for modest cost so a supply of 20p or £1 coins is required for the meter.
Our stay co-incided with the Platinum Jubilee celebrations and Mel provided a bar b que, plentiful food and drink on the Sunday afternoon and everyone on site was invited. This gave the opportunity to meat Melvyn and Kath - the owners, seasonal owners and fellow tourers. Celebrations carried on until quite late!
This was unexpected and the highlight was the washing machine drum re purposed as a brazier this was safely positioned between the gazebos and kept them warm against the chill night air, during the meet up!
This is a lovely site which is open all year. The owners Merv and Kath are very friendly and helpful. Due to its location it wouldn’t appeal to couples with young children however I expect most visitors will be looking for peace and quiet together with the rural location and views across the Shopshire countryside.
A hearty 9/10 will definitely return when in the area.

This is a lovely rural site in a great location for walking in the Shropshire hills.
We were the only people staying so we had the facilities to ourselves.
The only potential downside is that the toilet and shower are in the same room and there is only 1 for male and female, so there could be queuing at busier.
A very reasonable price.

Pristine campsite with excellent facilities in a superb location at a more than reasonable cost. Some pitches require levelling blocks but no major issue.
We spent a week at Southview, fortunately with wall to wall Autumnal sunshine hill walking every day. If you are thinking of walking the hills in the area please don't underestimate the climbs, they can be quite challenging.
A good guide book to purchase if you can find it is Church Stretton & South Shropshire Walks by Robert Smart, old book but relevant if you remember age of descriptions.
Ragleth Arms at Little Stretton recommended for good food, excellent service with quality hand pulled beers.

2nd visit to Southview and we still love it.
Pitches are immaculate and very spacious. Fully serviced for £16 per night is incredible value for money.
Merv, the owner is so helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Fabulous views and so many places of interest locally too.
Will definitely be going back. 😊

Thank you Merv for a lovely stay at South View.
The site is flat, the toilets are clean and showers are roomy, and the views are outstanding.
Plus the area is quiet with normal agricultural noise.
We will definitely be coming back!

Really enjoyed the tranquillity, the views, and the actual pitch.
Situated in a fantastic setting, with superb surrounding villages particularly Cardington less than two miles away which has Shropshire's oldest pub The Royal Oak. Church Stretton just three miles away has everything to offer for visitors to this region.
The site was well laid out with plenty of space between pitches and the shower/toilet facilities so clean and practical.
