Peaceful small site on the outskirts of Sheffield close to many Peak District beauty spots and walking routes. Hassle free booking by email and access to the site by a secure gate.
Bins, chemical & grey water disposal and drinking water all located near the entrance to the site.
There are no showers or toilets of course as is made plain by the owners hence our 9/10 for facilities - we are equipped to be self sufficient in that area.
Nice views and curious animals surround the camping field. Pitches are fairly level with hardstanding and despite all the rain no problems encountered.
At weekends and bank holidays the Blu Moo horse box cafe is a bonus and very popular with walkers too!
We will certainly visit agin.

Easy site to find and wonderful all round views. Good track to hard standing pitch.
Didn’t use facilities except electric hook up, as only stayed overnight but they looked good and well sign posted.
Liked the no hassle paying and entry system. Farm has a cafe but we were visiting family so didn’t use it.
Will be coming back once we’ve worked out to avoid clean air charge of £10 a day.

This site does excellently at what it says on the tin - no frills, pleasing excellently quiet location, and if you're able to walk well, ideally placed. (We were up there visiting relations, so that wasn't something we got to do. )
Good hard standings, very pleasing surroundings, and while the facilities are simply water, disposal, and EHU, they're well placed and well maintained.
We were surprised how many occupants there were on this November weekend!
Right next to Redmire reservoirs, with paths directly up to Stanage Edge, down into the Plantation woods, the "conduit" path back towards Sheffield, and many more.
The farm operates the "Blue Moo" cafe at weekends, from a very upgraded horsebox, and was doing brisk trade. There's a cunning extra gatepost placed to allow the access gate to leave a passageway for walkers at such times, while still locked for vehicles.
Combination lock on the gate at all times.
It's possible to tow both in and out with a small caravan using the South approach on Soughley Lane, as we found, but it is a sharp, tight turn indeed and anything other than tiny is better advised to come from the Redmires Rd. Make sure you go into the campsite, just off to the side of the farm entrance, not the farm track itself. The signage there isn't too obvious in fading light.
The site owners carefully advise NOT letting your satnav use Lodge Lane. Having driven up that without the 'van while we were there - they were right! Avoid!
We'll happily use this site again.

This was our second stay at Wyming Brook Farm Campsite.
The location is superb in terms of countryside views and access to the Peaks, with walks/cycling both immediately from the site itself, and within a short drive in the car.
The OS Map App shows a density of walk routes very nearby.
Wyming Brook Nature Reserve is minutes away. Most pitches are hard standing with a grassy area alongside and around.
It's a busy working farm so the site owners leave you to your own devices, but are easily accessible and helpful should you need assistance.
If you prefer a small, quiet no frills site with just the basic amenities and a superb location for outdoor activities, this is perfect.
At night the site was silent. Our son lives in Sheffield itself so we also spent time in the city which has a vast range of restaurants, interesting independent outlets (eg Ecclesall Road), lovely city parks, botanical gardens, luxury cinema, and is only 25 minutes away.
The family run a small outdoor café (Blue Moo Café) from a converted horse box on Saturdays and Sundays 10am - 4pm. They serve hot drinks and a gorgeous selection of homemade cakes and sausage rolls which are absolutely to die for.
It was lovely weather during our stay and there was a queue of walkers for the goodies.
The site owners were very happy for family to visit us for meals (and café treats).
The 9 out of 10 for customer service (still v good!) is purely because when we arrived at the pitch the grass needed cutting, however this was done a couple of days later.
Thoroughly recommend the site to all outdoor pursuits campers/tourers or anyone who enjoys a rural, livestock farm environment.

Upon approach to the site from the A57 we had negative thoughts as it looked like a messy working farm and thought we were going to spend the entire weekend in a right mess. But do not let this put you off. You can't see the actual camping field from the road but the camp site itself is perfect and we were more than happy once we had pitched and settled down. It's a perfect site if you want piece and quiet and local walks. The facilities are minimal as there is no toilet or shower block. The pitches are well set out with plenty of space.

Not sure why previous reviewer had difficulties. We stayed here for the best part of a month, and didn't have any issues other than we didn't have the right connector for the fresh water tap. We hope to be staying again in August. Lovely location, right in the middle of countryside with walks nearby and Sheffield Theatres only a couple of miles away.
