Just a reminder, this site no longer caters for touring caravans, motorhomes, or tents. For the last three years, it has had no camping facilities whatsoever, and now only has static caravans for sale.

What a lovely peaceful site. There are static caravans on site but they are rarely used well they was when we was there.
The site is kept very very clean no sooner have you put rubbish in the bins or a bottle to be recycled it is emptied.
The showers yes are basic and a little dated but again they do the job and are very clean thought the most hygenic flush I have ever seen you press a pedal!
It is a great central point to visit lots of places. There is a train station in Headcorn 4 miles away and you get great Train ticket prices we went to London and Brighton.
You do however need your car to visit places as there is no footpath, but was told about footpaths just outside the site (but ran out of time to try) these take you to the local Vineyard and the Bidden Village.
No children allowed unless you have a static. Value for money excellent £15 per night and if you go more than 7 nigths you even get a discount.
The brothers who own the site are very friendly too and do an excellent job for keeping it clean and tidy

We absolutely loved this site. Had a great 14 night visit and would definitely go again if we decide to visit the area. Our pitch was in the touring field at the bottom between two trees, which was reasonably flat.
I must say that we were given the choice to pitch in any available space that we wanted but chose the one already stated.
The washing/toilet facilities on the site are basic but spotless, the showers are still 20p but hot and last a long time and being very few campers there we never had to queue.
There are also two pot-washes, one inside and one outside, a fridge and a washing machine, which comes in great when staying for two weeks.
The surrounding area is great with everything within touching distance if you have a car. We decided to use the train a couple of times with the station 6 miles away in Headcorn.
If you're a National Trust member there are several places to visit within the area, the two closest being Sissenhurst Castle and Smallhythe.
There was a carboot at the nearby Headcorn airfield on a Sunday. Overall we had a brilliant fortnight.

Delightful, superb site, with dedicated owners who are very friendly and helpful. The site is truly relaxing with lovely views. Facilities extremely clean, showers 20p but very hot.
Will come back time and time again as you really feel that you've had a break.
Plenty of wildlife however didn't see many rabbits unlike the previous reviewer!
Sorry however to hear though that in a couple of years the camping field will close as it is going to be replaced with more static homes/caravans, still we will make the most of it before it does thanks again.

My girlfriend and I have been to this site on various occasions, it has become one of my favourite little places.
The tent field is separate from the caravan park and is a lovely lawn with large trees dotted around.
The best thing is that it's adults only so it is really peaceful and quiet.
This is the sort of campsite where you go to sit and read with peaceful surroundings, there's always rabbits hopping about and all kinds of birds and even a pheasant which often comes to pay you a visit.
Unless you are camping at the top or bottom you tend to be on a very slight slope which you don't really notice so it's not a problem.
The field is surrounded by trees and so is nice and sheltered although I wouldn't really call it a scenic site as there isn't really views but that doesn't take anything away from it.
The toilet block is very clean and never busy. The showers are 20p, are hot and last for ages.
There is an outside dishwashing area which is good and also an inside one in a room with a fridge which you can use.
The owners are very friendly and helpful and unobtrusive.
You can have a barbeque if it's a proper one raised off the floor, which is good because you wouldn't want to spoil the immaculate lawn.
All in all I would really recommend this site to people who like peace and quiet.
If you like charity shopping I recommend visiting the nearby bexhill, it's a lovely seaside with nothing much there so is less crowded and off the front there's loads of brilliant charity shops.

Had a great time at this campsite booked 7 nights at first and then 3 after that. The owners were very friendly, there were 3 fields 2 had electric hook up at no extra cost, we managed to get a flat pitch. The fields with electric hook up had static caravans round the outside of the fields and children were allowed in them, it didn't bother us because we were there before the kids holidays.
The toilets and showers were clean, showers not very powerful but hot, we weren't keen on the communal changing room.
Very pretty village nearby with shop and post office, but we tended to shop at Tenterden a nice town with every shop you could think of.

This is a very friendly, tidy and clean site. The field is slightly sloping, but there are flat places. It is sheltered by the trees all round and water taps are frequently placed around the field.
Even on one of the busiest weekends of the year it was lovely and quiet and not crowded. The shower / toilet blocks are clean, and there is free use of a fridge.
We can recommend the William 1V pub at Beneden which is just up the road. The tea room at Sissinghurst Castle is lovely, but the tea room at Bidenden Vineyard was poor with only pre-packed cake.

Just arrived back from this site had a great time,
Site was very clean and tidy staff very helpful. The grounds are kept immaculate and clean, one small concern rubbish bins were far and few between but that might have been because it was early in the season. Plenty of water taps though. All in all a great site will go again. There are also plenty of hook ups available and two fields to choose from

We tried this site after reading the reviews and it lived up to them all. Clean toilets and showers. Best to pitch at the top of the slope where it is nice and flat. The owner was very helpful and the surrounding area is lovely. Will go back. The only downside was that there must be boarding kennels nearby as every now and then the dogs would come to life. Not the owners fault and doesn't ruin it but it bugged us a bit.

First class site! Quiet, clean and well kept. Very welcoming owners. No kids, no swimming pool, no bar or club and consequently no noise! Please keep it that way!
Well sited for access to pretty much everywhere in the South East, whether you're into coastal walking, countryside / nature or visiting Kent's many picturesque towns and villages.
We'll definitely be back.
