We have just come back from this campsite and had a great time. My boyfriend who didn't want to camp came back converted! Very quiet for a bank holiday and had plenty of space to choose from even though it's not a massive site.
Very helpful and friendly staff and although showers are not as powerful as I like them, they were hot and clean. I would recommend this site, especially if you are after a quiet, relaxing time. Next time I would pitch at the top of the field though, as it is on a slope and we ended up with quite a few things skidding along our table!

If you are looking for peace and quiet look no further than this lovely place. Pitches are on a slight slope. Toilet and showers very clean, but a bit dated and communal dressing area. Lovely village 15/20 mins walk away, also nice chinese takeaway that does get very busy, so order early. Staff and owners very freindly and made to feel welcome will be returning

My partner and I stayed at the site for 2 nights, lovely site with well trimmed tent field, nicely sheltered by large hedges. Taps all around the field which were handy and clean toilet / shower block in full working order. Wash up facilities with plenty of hot water.
Enjoyable stay and would recommend, it was a bonus that there were no kids.

Excellent site. Owners very friendly and helpful. Strictly over 18's which doesnt mean a bunch of really old people! We are in our 30's and whilst we were there we were surrounded by mixed age ranges young and older. We had music and sang and laughed and there were no complaints.
Very clean shower blocks and wash areas even with the rain! Fantastic site in a great location will be going back.
No shop or bar onsite but it did mean it was very quiet.

We decided to stay here after reading the reviews on UK campsite website. It was as described. Very peaceful, if a little basic. The big selling point for us was.NO KIDS! Very clean facilities, although on the downside, with only 1 washing up sink I would imagine queues when there are a few campers. Also, the showers do not have any private changing areas, the two showers having a communal changing/drying area. But if you visit when it's quiet, don't let this put you off. The area is beautiful. It was our first visit to Kent, and we will return. There is plenty to do with places such as Canterbury about 40 mins away. Leeds Castle is close by, and well worth a day trip. But the best thing about the camp site, and a memory I will not forget is the awesome night sky. If you are blessed with clear nights as we were, you will see a starry night like you have never seen before!

Arrived at the site at 7.30am and the owner was all-ready to let us on to the park. This was a great benefit to us as we like to tow early hours to miss the traffic, sites that are strict on new arrivals not getting there till noon or later simply add to traffic problems which do not help the reputation of us caravaners, so a big thank you for that. It was the second time we have been here and both times the people in the static vans that you pitch near if you need hook up, make you feel very welcome. Grass kept short and toilet block always clean. A quiet site with lots of wildlife in view from your van including ducks and pheasant. Short walks from site are left into Biddeden where the nearest pub is or the footpath across the road that leads to the local vineyard. Lots of places to visit, Rye harbour, Appledore, Bewl water were some of the places we went this time during a lovely week in Kent.

August 2005 Stayed here for 6 nights, we were the only tent using electric hook up so were on the touring / static field rather than the main tent field which has no electric on it. It cost £10 per night for 2 of us, car & Vango Diablo tent including electric hook up! It only costs £1.00 to stay on until 6pm on the day of departure. This is a very well maintained site that is handy for the Channel Tunnel terminal it has basic clean facilities, showers & wash up area with plenty of hot water, no shop or bar & is run by very friendly helpful people, the grass is very short which is good in wet weather, I would recommend it & would certainly return

September 2005 A lovely peaceful site, sloping field but many level pitches surrounded by bushes and trees, tiolet block close by, which is kept very clean, also many drinking water stand pipes around the field which we thought was very helpful, village of Biddenden over a mile away which a long walk on not to safe roads, but all in all a recommended site.

August 2004 Popped in on Bank Holiday Monday ...Lovely quiet site ..adults only ..some sloping pitches some level pitches .. Separate caravan and tent pitches. .clear guidleines ..off pitch by 12 on day of departure. Car and tent £10 open March to October. We will certainly visit. Close to home and tranquil! Electric hookup available. Dogs welcome but on leads at all times, and to be exercised off site. No pool or clubhouse (hooray) nearest pub just over a mile.

23rd/24th July 2004 Lovely site which is immaculately maintained - almost like pitching your tent on a bowling green (slight exageration but you get the picture)!
Being adults only it was lovely and quiet with the tents being in one field and the statics in another.
Clean loos' and showers (20p). One outside sink with plents of hot water for washing up - which was my only small moan - even thought the site was nowhere near full because there was only the one sink we did have to queue to wash up at busy times.
Will go back for sure though - for a nice peaceful weekend in superb surroundings.
