I loved the quiet adult only tranquillity plus the security of the 200 year old walled garden.

There are excellent walks around the site through thick overgrown forestry, beside a dramatic river gorge.

Unfortunately, a high thick stone wall causes phone reception interference and the on site wi-fi was only reliable near the Reception office.

A beautiful site in a historic estate with many huge and lovely trees.

The hosts were very friendly and could not have been more helpful.

We enjoyed the bats that flew under the trees along the long lane that you drive up.

 A hidden gem!

This is a lovely, well kept quiet, away from it all site. It as you would guess, located in a walled garden. It is very picturesque.

The staff could not be more helpful and the facilities if somewhat dated are kept spick & span.

Due to its location, the TV signal is not the best, nor is the internet signal.

Nevertheless it is a lovely site

Lovely quiet site with excellent facilities and very friendly owner.

The washroom was immaculate and showers had plenty of room to move (which is always a bonus).

Pitches were roomy and all included seating.

Couldn't have been more satisfied.

 Friendly hosts.

Quiet site.

Approach road is single track and few places to pass

TV and phone reception limited.

Lots of DVDs provided on site.

Facilities were adequate, clean and well kept.

The whole site is immaculate though our pitch and most of the others were slightly sloping and ramps were needed.

The facilities block is at one end of the site and if your at the other it’s a few minutes walk.

We visited Culzean castle and had a look at the *Electric Brea’

Lovely quiet campsite, easily found - well sign posted.

Very secure gate / barrier at entrance.

Very welcoming hosts & pretty flowers at entrance too.

Pitches well maintained.

Toilets/ showers impeccable.

Lovely walks around site.

Library available & telescope for viewing "dark skies" - very nice addition.

Not expensive - good value for money.

This is quiet site and will suit couples who want to get away from

It all. Ie very poor phone signal and WiFi internet connection.

Excellent hard standing, site slightly sloping. , toilets are immaculate and showers are reasonably good.

Everything kept very clean.

Situated in a walled garden with trees al around the wall gives good shelter, a sun trap with sun all day from early morning till late at night.

With easy driving distance to Ayr further North to Maidens and Kilean castle in South Ayrshire.

Being further inland was an advantage as when we were visiting Ayr a sea Haar came in and blanketed Ayr while our walled garden campsite basked in warm sunshine.

Nearest supermarket Asda Girven 9 miles Ayr 14 miles.
