We have just returned from our very first family camping trip. What a great choice we made coming to this particular site. Staff/proprietors on site were really nice and very helpful and couldn't do enough for us. Site is situated a slight slope but we managed fine, didn't cause any problems for us (even as first timers!). Also was a bit of a walk to the toilets/showers, kitchen, laundry, etc - again no big deal - all facilities were spotless! Cleanliness was a worry for me but certainly had no complaints here. There is a playpark for young children which was relatively close to us, along with playing fields for football, etc, leading to a woodland area which was great for the dog to run about in. Great base if you want to travel about Ayrshire/Ayrshire Coast. We were only there for a couple of days and managed to find our way around the area no problem. 10/10 - no complaints from us! Will definitely go back.

Lovely camp site, small with a few tent pitches so booking is advised. The site slopes slightly from North to South and all tent pitches are sloping. The Walled Garden is well kept, clean and friendly. The sight was very quiet after 9.00pm (mostly due to people in their caravans). We took our 1 and 3 year olds and the play park was excellent and only a stones throw from the tent area. A paper, rolls and milk can be delivered each day to your pitch and there is a very small shop with juice & snacks etc on site. My only negative is that it is a bit of a walk to the toilets but they are well kept and clean.

August 2005 Three great nights in Walled Garden. All previous reviews are spot on, especially about the friendly people. We were made most welcome, even though we had the only tent on the site. Don't think of taking a very big tent though!
Immaculately clean facilities, neat grass (if that's important to you), and in a beautiful location. There was even a bingo evening in the on-site Hall (not tacky, and discreet for those who were not interested).
A days shopping in Glasgow was easily achieved from here.
Excellent site.

June 2005 This was our first outing in our Caravan and have to say it was an excellent choice. We could not have had a warmer welcome and everyone was very friendly. The facilities were very good, the grounds immaculate and the sun shone.....what more could you ask for!

September 2003 My wife and I are keen campers and have been to many sites, but none come anywhere close to the walled garden.
A family run buisness, a warm and friendly reception guaranteed. Facilities second to none, set within a large estate in a country stting. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

June 2002 As the name suggests the site is set within walls. A pleasant site with friendly staff and moderate but good facilities, especially the washing and drying facitlites for that Scottish weather. We found it to be very quiet, sometimes you wondered if perhaps you should be whispering! We probably would stay here again if in the area.
