We were greeted by the warmest of welcomes and quickly checked in.
A little while later, the site manager popped around to see that we were all settled and happy with everything.
Such a friendly and relaxed atmosphere on a site that has stunning views and a wonderful walk through 100 acres of nature reserve.
We awoke to find a roe deer grazing right outside our pitch.
The facilities are spotless and in good working order.
We highly recommend this site and were sad to leave at the end of our stay.

We’ve Just returned from five glorious days in Mull staying at the Salen Bay Campsite. We were on pitch Mor 3, my cousin and his wife were on Mor 2, they were in a motorhome we were in our Coachman. Our main reason for visiting Mull was to look up our ancestors; the MacGregor’s, the Macmaster’s and the MacFarlane’s. We managed to achieve this with visits to Iona, Bunessan, Tobermory and the Kilpatrick graveyards.
We were early on arrival, by an hour or so, but there’s ample space to park up and await sign-in. It’s quite difficult to gauge arriving spot on time when one is travelling 200 and odd miles and two ferry crossings, so we timed it not too bad.
The site is immaculate as is the shower/toilet facilities, the chemical toilet disposal is quaint, the top half of a wheelie bin sticking out of the ground near the shower block. Which leads to the fact there are no fully serviced pitches only water and electric, but the grey water disposal is relatively close to the pitches.
The scenery from the site in all directions is fantastic, but especially looking out to the Sound of Mull, we saw the Isle of Barra ferry ploughing back and forth daily.
I’ve no hesitation in recommending this camping site, if we’re ever back to Mull this is where we’ll stay.

A lovely campsite, right on the coast with great views, and well placed for touring Mull.
Easy booking, good welcome, and excellent facilities.
It was quite busy despite the cold blustery weather, but the facilities coped well and were kept clean.
Convenient small shop nearby, and even some supplies on site.
We enjoyed our stay here, and loved Mull.

Great little campsite. Toilets / showers & dishwashing areas were immaculate = showers are free.
There is an option to use washing machine & clothes drier but as we never used them I'm not sure of price.
Salen village is a 10 minute walk up the road with a spar shop / fuel station & hotel.
Fergus and his team do a fantastic job of keeping everyone happy and the site tidy.
I managed a swim every day on a few of the hidden beaches around the island.
Definitely be back.

Excellent location with great views in any direction and nice to see site kept as 'natural' as possible.
A lot of work gone into the much appreciated footpaths leading from the site to the shore.
Only negative was the lack of a urinal in the gents as it did get busy at times, but I am sure there is a good reason for this and they are new and kept spotlessly clean.

We've really enjoyed our 6 nights at Salen Bay and would definitely return. Very friendly welcome and help during our stay.
Clean facilities and very helpful to have a washer, dryer and washing line available for use.
The children loved the swing and we made the most of the picnic benches for eating our evening meals with incredible views.
The location is excellent for exploring the island and there is a couple of lovely bakeries nearby and a well-stocked Spar.
The tent pitches are very close together which we didn't mind but it's useful to know if that might bother you.

Really nice site in a lovely location raised up to give views over the bay. This is the only campsite we stayed on for 2 nights but mainly out of convenience.
We'd got a wildlife tour booked which picked us up from outside the hotel on the main road so it was the perfect place to stay for that.
The facilities were lovely and clean with good, warm showers available. It was the busiest of all the places we stayed during our week on Mull which probably speaks volumes about its popularity.
There's a very handy Spar shop by the main road too.
Would definitely stay again if we visit Mull.

Really nice clean site, spotless loos and showers.
The best thing is the views they are amazing, however it got very windy when we were there the site is exposed, so amazing views but potential for strong winds so swings and roundabouts.
The owner and his daughter were super nice.
I would recommend the site, when visiting amazing Mull

Site was well signed and easy to find. Our pitch had electric hook up and water and amazing views over the Sound of Mull.
The site facilities were probably the best we've ever ecperienced, immaculately clean, and the "rolling stone" access control to comply with Covid-19 rules was genius.
Convenient for visiting Tobermory and Iona.
Would happily go back and have no reservations about recommending it.
Well done to the friendly, helpful staff.
