Superb site with amazing views of Salen bay and the Sound of Mull.
Very clean facilities and well managed for covid safety.
Very friendly and helpful owners and a a great welcome.
Central location for everything on Mull, and easy access to the local, well stocked, Spar.
We took a day trip to Iona, just over an hour drive to the ferry at Fionnphort.
The site is by the shore so is a great spot for kayaking / canoeing.
We'll be back!

This is a lovely site with fabulous views out across the Sound of Mull. We saw dolphins on several occasions and regularly watched a female hen harrier hunting low to the shoreline.
The hardstanding pitches are well-spaced with a separate electricity and water supply for each pitch.
Fergus and Babs were friendly and took care to warn about an incoming storm. The Covid-19 precautions around the site were excellent.
Salen is also an excellent location for touring this surprisingly large island. The nearby Taste of Mull is also highly recommended.
In a nutshell, we only got home yesterday but are already planning another trip in May next year!

We stayed for just one night. The site owners were so friendly, and COVID precautions were impressive. The views from the site are stunning and there is access along the coastline from the site. The sunset on the night we were there was just amazing. There are picnic benches around the site and a couple down by the old pier.
Shower and toilet facilities were spotless and waste disposal and fresh water were Excellent.
It was a nice touch having a whirligig available to dry clothes and towels.
There were canoes and paddle boards to hire from the site. There was a swing for the children too.
It’s a short walk into Salen. We had fish and chips from the Taste of Mull which were excellent.
I’d thoroughly recommend this site.

A really great campsite. The owners are very friendly and have put a lot of thought into designing the pitches so that wherever you are you benefit from the spectacular views.
The facilities are spotless and much care has been taken to ensure all Covid safety precautions are in place.
We love it here and will certainly be back. Maggie and Brian.

Have just returned from our stay at Salen Bay campsite. Had a great time. The site is very clean with good sized pitches. Shower and toilet block were spotless. Due to current COVID-19 safety measures there were queues at peak times but never too long.
Plenty of sensible precautions, hand sanitizer, extra cleaning etc felt very safe. Fergus the site manager was friendly, relaxed and very helpful.
Our pitch overlooked some building work going on in local houses but well placed hedges obscured this completely when sitting outside the tent and there were plenty of other pitches on site with unspoilt views.
Great base for exploring Mull as Tobermory about 20 mins away. There is a small spar shop next to the site which was well stocked.
We will definitely be back.

This wasn't the campsite we had reserved but we passed it on the way there along the coast.
Stayed one night at the booked site which had no views and went back to Salen Bay for the rest of the week. Right by the sea and well located to explore the rest of the island.
Facilities are basic but fine. We would definitely go back.
