Please note we have been advised that this site is now permanently closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. It is now a residential lodge park called Pine lodge Country Park. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

This looks like a work in progress.
There are large level pitches between pine trees; good, modern facilities, but rather dark; a friendly warden, once I’d tracked him down - he’d not answered either of the phone numbers on the sign on the gate.
However, the place is drab, the environment - a forestry clearing with a lot of bits of trees - is unexciting and the location is blighted by some noise from the nearby Robin Hood Airport and the A614. (This would not have been a problem for the last couple of years when travel was restricted. )

Fabulous site, spotlessly clean and friendly, helpful owner.
We were only supposed to stay for 3 days but we extended it to 9 days as it was so peaceful and the weather lovely.
Would highly recommend it to anyone (adults only) who want to get away from it all.

Warm welcome by warden who directed us to our pitch and helped to manouevre the van into position.
The shower block was well maintained and spotless.
Quiet location except for occasional aircraft noise from local airport.
Close to A1 and M18 allowing easy access to York and east coast resorts. Doncaster wild life park is excellent.

Lovely little caravan site next to a woodlands. Spacious pitches lovely dog walks.
Very nice and clean showers/ toilets. Wardens are a lovely couple always a warm welcome.
Owner Joe is always busy around the campsite always happy to have a chat and tell you about what he’s doing or going to do.
This is about our 4th time visiting and we always seem to book extra days, we never want to leave haha

Last minute booking and got the bank holiday. Really quiet and peaceful site interupted by aircraft going over low in the distance but you either enjoy the sight or get used to it and don't notice.
Great facilities and very clean. Pitches at the bottom are all around the outside and mostly backing onto the pine trees.
Bawtry is nearest town but full of 50p millionaires and prices reflect this.
Food and drink is available at the nearest pub The Ship and the food is fantastic.
For a day out for a drink we got a taxi into Doncaster but book well in advance. £11 each way but you get it back not going into Bawtry, more choice and real people.
Pat used the washing machine and dryer and it worked really well.
EHU gives you a pound a day in credit when you arrive, when we left there was still 6 on it.
The pitch we were on had a very slight slope and was no problem but if you are taking an awning I suggest screw in rock pegs and a hammer drill as the ground under the gravel is very rubbly (is that a word) but we managed.
Would we go back. If we wanted a nice quiet rest then yes, if we wanted to be out and about then not for as long.
Sounds harsh but because it was awkward to get anywhere without a car at our age I have to give 9 out of 10 because 9 1/2 isnt an option
Warden is always available and very friendly. Even came out to say good bye.

Welcome from the warden on arrival. Escorted to our pitch and electricity metering explained. Our allocation was ample but we do not use heavy usage items.
New site so still a bit raw looking but excellent facilities and a lovely area with chairs and tables for sitting out away from your unit.
Road noise from the adjacent main road but this died down overnight. Lots of places to visit in the area, and we particularly recommend Yorkshire Sculpture Park.
Bawtry has lots of eating venues as well as a range of shops.

Fabulous!
No one could wish for a warmer welcome.
The site is one of the best we’ve stayed at, the facilities sparkly and modern, the pitches spacious and in a forested setting.
Close to motorway links but in the countryside and lovely Bawtry just down the road.
Highly recommend.

Lovely site, nice and quiet, well looked after and the staff are really friendly.
Toilets and amenities were spotless. Nice walk through the woods.
Would definitely recommend to anybody, and will be returning in the near future.
