We have just returned from two nights at Bawtry Caravan and camping. It is an adults only site and has everything you would expect from a first class site. The facilities are excellent and the staff are very friendly and approachable.
They keep the site impeccably clean and tidy. All covid 19 precautions are being taken and hand gel is available at key points around the site.
The pitches are large and give you plenty of room although rock pegs would be required to erect your awning if using one.
Electricity is provided by a metered supply and tokens can be obtained from the warden.
The site is secured by a electronic key pad controlled barrier as well as the gates being closed at night. If you are leaving the site you have to leave your vehicle to access the barrier key pad which is not ideal in bad weather.
The site is located fairly close to Robin Hood (Doncaster) airport so you get occasional aircraft noise but we did not find it a problem.
The weather was not at its best during our stay and we could have done with a doormat outside the van. Some of the hardstanding pitches are, I think, compacted gravel and with the bad weather conditions it is very easy to take this into your van.
In my opinion access to the pitches could be made easier by removing the logs at the back of the pitch allowing vehicles to drive straight through when the pitch behind is empty thereby saving the need to reverse, an activity that I attempt to avoid when ever I can.
There are seasonal pitches, caravan storage and lodges on the site as well as the touring pitches.
Overall, an excellent site and we would use it again

Lovely preparation and washing area as well as a laundry room.

Very friendly reception on arrival. Lovely new site and amenities. Still a little work being undertaken but not detrimental to stay.
Love the way site has been laid out in between the trees. Had a very enjoyable 7 nights, good walks around.
Mosaic Trust a nature reserve is just a few mins walk away and well worth a visit Shops are about 30/ 35 mins walk to Bawtry.
Think the laundry is a bit expensive though.

Excellent site, super clean and good COVID routines. Steff was fabulous.
The woods on site were perfect for dog walking. We spotted a couple of Buzzards, a Barn Owl and squirrels teased our Westie.
Good walk circular walk to Newington and The Ship Inn does great Fish N Chips.

Conveniently located to spend day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park (ten minute drive) and long awaited garden visits to family in Doncaster. Nearby Bawtry is a lovely little town.
Easy access directly off A614 - no traffic noise on site though. Facilities (out of bounds due to Covid) but they looked excellent.
The warden most helpful and efficient - she phoned us back within ten minutes of our enquiry. We also enjoyed an interesting chat with one of the Owners.
We stayed two nights (2 x £20) and that fee was OK. The fee structure for a single night (£25 I think plus weekend etc) is likely to be a negative for our more usual one night lay over needs.

We booked a 2 night stay at this beautiful site, after waiting a while for it to open as we had seen the works happening, it was really worth the wait.
The grounds are kept extremely well, very clean and tidy. We loved the dog walks and the whole serene feeling of this site. It is close enough to Bawtry town for bite to eat and a drink.
The wardens were brilliant very friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
We have booked to come back again, I can see this being a regular site to visit.

This site was a little gem. The wardens were extremely helpful, going out of their way to accomodate. Very friendly, made us feel like extended family.
Even though we couldn't use them (due to covid rules) the showers / toilets and washing up facilities were lovely and clean. Spotless!
There were picnic benches on the grass which came in very useful for dining outside. A beautiful site with further facilities being added.
We had a short walk to a local village pub, and only a short drive away to the local shops and the Yorkshire Wildlife Park. There were also plenty of woodland walks,
I would highly recommend this little site to anyone wanting a relaxing break, and can't wait till we go back next month.

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights recently and I must say it was lovely.
It is a well presented park which is kept immaculate and is set in a lovely tranquil setting. Lots of walks, dog friendly and a lovely village 5 minutes drive away.
Loved it so much we are going to site our caravan here for the season
