This has to be one of the best campsites we have stayed in and we have stayed in a lot,

Facilities excellent, shower the hottest I've had and everything spotless. Excellent Wi-Fi @ reception and free!

Lots of brochures and information and only a 10 minute walk in to Comrie, bus stop @ entrance if you need it to go to Crieff (10 min).

Wildlife abundant - I got our £22 fee back in the first hour watching red squirrels, weasel chasing a rabbit and a raptor watching on!

Nice walks nearby. Lovely small shop on site where you could order bread & papers and most of all lovely polite, friendly and helpful owners.

We'll be back.

Cant believe the things folk moan about in their reviews! wet grass, uneven pitches, road noise why drive in off the road! get a life or give up camping and buy a villa in Holland. Its level there apparently

This campsite is a wee gem in one of the the best villages in Scotland, explore the area not under your caravan. Owners very friendly, site is spotless well run, has a wee shop and water on 'tap' from Glen Turret you'd pay for that in a restaurant. A static caravan for 4 works out at £14 quid per head brill.

Very welcoming site in a lovely part of perthshire, short walk to local village Comrie and 10 minute drive to Crieff which has plenty of shops, a supermarket and plenty of eating places. The site itself was nice and quiet. The road that runs outside site was sometimes busy, but hardly noticed

The noise after a while.Toilets and washing up areas

Were always clean with plenty hot water.

Wee shop on site for rolls, paper, milk etc.

All in all the 2 nights we spent on this site were

Very enjoyable and no complaints.

Arrived on a very wet day on route to the west of Scotland for a one night stop over and despite a very friendly welcome was glad it was only one night.

Pitches were not the best, uneven, small and road noise was evident until quite late and then started again very early. As well as being badly lit at the touring end, the ground underfoot was grassy for a stretch and we squelched and slipped our way to the toilet block which strangely enough was closer to the statics than it was to the tourers.

Toilets clean but were tiny and you wouldn't feel comfortable if like me you are claustrophobic, my knees almost touched the door. The push taps on the basins really annoyed as stayed on for a couple of seconds. No soap or handwash! Didn't venture to the shower, looked ok but didn't fancy as it was very chilly and no heating on.

Washing dishes was a nightmare. The sink was fitted with push taps and were so difficult to operate that I almost lost the will to live, I couldn't imagine how anyone with weakness in their hands or arms would be able to manage.

The site situated by a main route was definitely way overpriced compared to many others we have used but we had no choice as this was the only one we could find open in this area. Perhaps the owners know this and capitalise on it!.

Would we use again? Sorry but no.

Very small site situated close to the main road on a bend. Plenty of road noise. I felt it was rather cramped. Rather oppressive for an early riser. Twiddled my thumbs for some considerable time before I felt it 'decent' to make a noise and get ready to leave - although the road traffic had been going since sun-up! Glad I'd only booked in for one night. Wild camped the following night.

Mainly static caravans. Tourer area small and on a slight rise but the pitches were reasonably level.

Toilets were clean and always had hot water.

Owner always seemed to be about and was fairly friendly.

I thought this was an expensive site for those not needing to use all the facilities on offer.

Dogs welcome and good walks in the woods behind the site.

We stayed here for a couple of nights on our way back up north and wished we had more time. What a little gem of a site and value for money even in high season. At first glance it looked quite small but there was lots of space between units, tents, folding campers, motor homes. All pitches appear to have EHU and this was included in the price. The site facilities are spotless with free showers, loads of hot water and no queuing. The owners were always available if needed and very helpful.

Set in a beautiful area of Perthshire with good walks in and around Comrie which is about 10 minutes away on foot. The village has lots of small independent shops as well as a small supermarket, delicatessen and baker were favourites. A previous post mentioned the fish and chip shop and we agree, it was great.

Our dogs were welcome and loved the river running through the centre of town where we had a picnic on the banks.

We will certainly return to spend more time here.

A small site which is 10 minutes walk from the village of Comrie.

Overall we liked this site. It was very wet when we went and the friendly staff made the effort to find us a suitable pitch for the weather.

The site is on the main road but the road isn't very busy and we didn't notice the noise.

The facilities are not very new but in good working order and clean. There is a small shop on site selling basics and some fresh food. You could order fresh rolls and eggs for the morning when we were there.

Comrie has a nice riverside area, several hotels and a decent chippy. It's just a few miles to the bigger tourist town of Crieff and there is a quieter road to the south of the main road which is ideal for cycling there.

Visited during very wet weather and grass was a bit bogey but it did dry out over the weekend.

Very small site situated close to the main road on a bend. I didn't notice any noise.

Mainly static caravans. Tourer area small and on a slight rise but the pitches were reasonably level. No problem with ground for the awning pegs.

No kids facilities on site. Toilets were clean and always had hot water.

Owner always seemed to be about and opened the small on-site shop for the kids at any time. Very friendly.

Good walks in the woods behind the site.

Combie a short walk along the busy main road. Town was clean. Had an excellent sit down meal in the fish and chip shop on the 90 degree bend entering the town (sorry - can't recall its name). They slotted us in (two families - 9 in total) at the restaurant closing time and I can say that the food was brill.

Would use again if in the area.

Not a lot to add to previous review other than to agree with everything that has been said. One of the nicest sites I've stayed. Peaceful, clean, central, friendly and one I will definitely return.
5 minute walk to Comrie and a 10 minute drive to Crieff, the metropolis. This site has everything you need for a great break.
For hunting, walking, shooting, fishing, golfing or just plain getting away from it. Site owners are friendly and helpful as are the 'locals', on site and off.
There is a home bakery in the village which I defy you to try and avoid once you've been in. Local Costcutter in Comrie and Sainsbury/Co-operative in Crieff. You wont go short. On the social side The Ancaster Arms in Comrie was great. Don't pay too much heed to the road. It's busier when it's meant to be and quieter at other times.

We were made very welcome on this site hubby and myself and 5 dog's (yes 5 dog's). The site itself is very well run and the toilets are very clean with plenty of hot water. I will recommend this site to friends and family and I certainly will be back.
