 Brilliant location. Very quiet.
The lady who came to check us in was very friendly.
Short walk into the village via footpaths so not near the main road.
Plenty of water points.
Excellent location for cycling the Meon Valley Train.
We will come back!

Brocklands is a perfect site if you like walking/cycling as the disused railway track will take you to either West Meon or as far East as Wickham with plenty of tea shops and pubs on route!
Only 30 minutes from Portsmouth and the ferry port.
The campsite has a maximum of 15 pitches (all very spacious) with some on a slight gradient so leveling blocks would be of use.
There is a water tap and an elsan point on site but no other facilities.
They also rent safari tents further up the field.

We have just stayed at brocklands for the 1st time this weekend and wow how beautiful and peaceful is this place. We had all
Our dogs and it was stunning. We felt very safe and relaxed. It was lovely that there are few rules and you get left alone providing you obviously follow
The rules in place. Thankfully it appears to attract like minded people who enjoy the quiet and tranquillity of the countryside.
Everyone kept themselves to themselves but were friendly and approachable for a quick chat if you wanted. We will definitely be back.

This was our third visit to this site, although very basic, the views walks, and owner make it well worth a visit,
You will more than likely need blocks as there is a bit of a slope,
Only a fifteen minute walk along the old railway line to the village shop, and pub,
If you are looking for tranquility, peace and quiet this is for you, it's the next thing to wild camping

This campsite is a little gem. In the wilds and walks in all directions.
A real escape from everything. The field is sloped so chocks are essential.
There are no toilets or showers but plenty of space to put a toilet tent.
Pitches are very big. The walk to West Meon is lovely along the old railway and we can highly recommend the community shop and cafe.
Overall a wonderful site and we will definitely be coming back.
Just one note due to the slight slope it can get slippery if it has been raining heavily.

What a lovely basic site, hidden in the shadow of Old Winchester Hill.
Brocklands is a very simple and peaceful site for motorhomes, campervans and caravans only.
It’s on a slight slope but nothing a few blocks can’t sort out and you get to choose from any available pitch.
Other than an elsan point and a couple of water taps, there are no facilities on site so you have to be self contained for washing and the loo but this makes for a very quiet campsite with lovely walks and rides nearby.
The owners were very friendly and gave us a leaflet with local walks marked on it.
Very peaceful and out of the way.
We wonder if the pitches could get a bit muddy in heavy rain but otherwise it’s hard to fault the place.

First time at this campsite and what a delight.
Very basic with drinking water taps, waste disposal and an Elsan point. It's all you need if your self contained.
Wonderful walks, great views, lovely peace and quiet.
Will be returning.

Fantastic site that I will definitely return to, quiet, relaxed and a wonderful area.
One adult, and dog (no extra charge) in a campervan for £12 a night - I booked direct with the site owner using the email form on this listing and paid via bacs transfer, quick and easy.
There are no toilet or shower facilities here, just fresh water, a chemical disposal point, and rubbish / recycling. However for me it was perfect for a couple of nights stay.
The pitches are lined up alongside a crop field, and are very large, and well spaced - you can choose your own pitch. The land is slightly sloping, some pitches more than others, so you will need ramps / levellers but it was pretty easy to get flat.
The location is fantastic and the big draw for me. There are footpaths directly from the campsite into miles of wonderful countryside. You approach the site down a lane and under an old railway bridge - this bridge gives you access to the dismantled railway above which is now the Meon Valley Trail - which gives you miles of traffic free walking or cycling. It also joins up with the South Downs Way.
You can also walk on any of the farm tracks which go off in various directions around the farm. One in particular takes you to the Old Winchester Hill nature reserve and the wonderful Iron Age hill fort and Bronze age burial mounds which are on top of it. The views from up there are amazing - on a clear day you can see the Isle of Wight and the Solent, and there are 360 degree views over the surrounding countryside. It's about a six mile return walk, and pretty steep in places but well worth it. You can also access it by walking along the West Meon Trail then up the South Downs Way - that's about an 8 mile return walk.
Back to the site, it's a ten to 15 minute traffic free walk along public footpaths into the village of West Meon where you will find a local shop, a butchers, cafe and a great pub called the Thomas Lord - lovely food and a good sized garden.
All in all, thoroughly enjoyed my stay and a site I will be back to whenever in the area.

A lovely site and a very simple experience with booking. I enquired through here and the owner replied promptly with the prices and availability.
We were quoted £12 per unit per night which was for a VW Camper, one adult and one dog. We settled up by bank transfer and received a reply email with confirmation and an information sheet and advised to turn up and set up.
The site is easy to find using sat nav and we followed the camping signs in to the field. There are approx. 20 pitches and we choose a couple near the end that offered evening sun, but suffered a bit in the morning, however that is a good thing sometimes!
Very basic facilities, no toilets, showers, etc, however there was water, chemical disposal and bins.
The site offers a nice outlook over the fields and the walks from the site are plentiful and there is direct access to the disused railway track, which runs for miles. We wandered up to Winchester Hill that was around a 7 mile round trip and the views from the top were stunning, looking out over the Solent, Isle of Wight, New Forest etc.
We visited the Thomas Lord in West Meon and had a few drinks and some food, pretty reasonably priced and a good selection of food and drinks.
I would return to this site as it was relaxed, peaceful and easy to book direct with the site owners.
