Love this site, been coming to Brora for 57 years.
At various sites, and have been here for last four years since we bought our Motorhome.
So quiet and peaceful.

Come to Brora campsite in order to stay close to the golf club and play annual competitions.
Sam and Andy have been on site taking care of business in order that we can relax and enjoy the ambiance.
Litter points have been moved and are less intrusive.
Grass cutting and border maintenance is efficient and carried out at times deigned not to disturb the peace and quiet.
Any issues dealt with by this professional couple.

Excellent location walk onto the beach just across the golf course.
The site was spotlessly clean and tidy.
Well laid out. We got a lovely large pitch overlooking the grass area in the middle of the site.
Lovely peaceful site.
Lovely wardens.
Lovely ice cream shop in Brora.
Excellent fish and chips from La Mirage in Helmsdale.
Clean and tidy toilet block. Will return

I'm very pleased with the stay at Brora Campsite. The location was perfect! Just next to the main road, easy to access and find.
Also, the view from the campsite was marvellous!
The only issue I saw there was a kitchen section. During beautiful weather there may be no issues however, during rainy weather, extended roof above the kitchen section could be advantageous.

This is a lovely site and the staff were so nice, which was refreshing after a terrible experience at the CMC site at Dunnet Bay. It really felt like a place to relax and unwind. The facilities were always clean and up to the usual CMC standards, even with Covid arrangements in place.
Being close to a beach is a lovely bonus and it's around a 30 minute walk along the beach or path through the dunes to Brora where there is a co-op and a couple of hotels doing food and drink.
I didn't think the midges would be bad with the closeness of the beach, but, there were quite bad. We stayed near some trees in the middle of the site, if midges are a problem for you, try and head over to the side next to the beach, that might be better.

On route up NC500, we stopped off for a couple of days at this C&MC site. It is about 30 minutes walk from the village, but for us the best thing about the site was the location - just a short walk over the golf course to miles of beautiful sandy beach.
The site itself typical C&MC - everything very clean and well kept and wardens helpful and friendly.
Site was full my mid afternoon both days, warden told us its full every day as its first and last C&MC on NC500 (although Dunnet Head is also a club site). We booked on line 24 hours in advance. Worth noting if you do turn up without a booking and its full there is another private site 100 yards along the road.
The site shops sold a few basic items but if you anything much else you need to drive to a town. There is a washing machine and dryer in the laundry room as well as a sink for handwashing with hot water.
Most pitches are hardstanding, a few grass in the centre of the site - they were by far the largest.
A good site for a night or two if travelling but would guess its a great base for exploring further afield with a car.
Dunrobin castle is just down the road and well worth a visit, Helmsdale is the opposite direction has a beautiful harbour. We visited the Badbea clearance village, not much there just a monument but a good walk.
Would use the site again if in the area.

Great stay at well kept and quiet site close to Beach and Links Golf Course.
Well laid out with choice of large hard standing or grass pitches. One clean toilet block with at least 3 of everything.
25 minute walk into town along fabulous Beach. Heritage trail around pleasant Brora something you should not miss. Suutherland Arms old school but friendly, menu seems ok but SIDS Indial neRby looks a better bet.
Linda’s Cafe straight forward but may struggle when posh new Chocolate place next to Station opens soon.
Site staff helpful and unobtrusive. Dog walk handy and clean but need a Dog to use it!
Good views and good B roads for cycling and excellent pootle along Loch Brora great fun and unbelievably quiet.
Will return next year.
