Very functional site and lovely friendly helpful people. R the warden (rules below say not to identify) is fantastic - always has time for you, and exceptionally hard working.

Ten year old daughter did a 5-day sailing course with Aberdeenshire Sailing Trust based 3 mins walk away - really excellent. I swam each day in the sea right in front of the camp site. Daughter had fun one day in the play park next door.

Used the cycle tracks to get around. Aldi, Lidl, Asda all cycling distance. Nice cycle track to Mintlaw/Maud. Loads of raspberries. Did a ride to Longhaven nature reserve which has incredible sea cliffs, sea birds, arches, sea stacks. Stunning.

Cycle track runs out at Boddam. A90 busy and loads of big trucks. Drivers respectful of cyclists but uncomfortable all the same and ended up cycling on the rough. Plenty space just harder work for a basic bike!

Compared to other camp sites we’ve stayed at this summer this was among the best value for money.

Gave it 9/10 because ALL campsites are charging too much.

Not the best site in the area. The location is for fine for walking Into town but the toilets facilities really require upgrading. Push buttons with no temperature control giving moderately hot water. Not really acceptable by today’s standards.

The view is a working harbour so that will suit some people, maybe not for others. Always something going on with the offshore supply boats.

Your daily fee includes the first £3 of electric and you pay for use beyond that. If it runs out you need to contact the warden to top it up. ? Strange arrangement given the site fees are what you pay elsewhere.

I would give this one a miss and keep going to Fraserburgh where the facilities are first class and the view is far superior.

Tidy well kept site with friendly warden. Nice level pitches on hardstanding.

Only a couple of pitches for campervans at front with unresticted views, rest are behind statics.

Toilet/shower block spacious and clean. Shower was awful though, push button which trickled out, was tepid, and lasted about 10 seconds that coupled with a cold shower block made it a pretty unpleasant shower.

You get £3 worth of electricity as part of your fee, anything extra is an additional cost.

Walking and cycling easy from site into Peterhead which is pretty run down.

Busy port with a bit of noise in distance and helicopters from the rigs.

I really liked this site. Very tidy and clean utilities, not heated I don't think which didn't bother us but might be an issue in colder weather.

Excellent situation immediately off the dog friendly beach with a shop and cafe less than 5 minutes walk and the center of town 15-20 mins walk.

Community run and everyone we spoke to was really helpful. 3 new looking camping huts if you're wanting a bit more comfort.

Directly opposite a busy harbour, excellent for boat watchers.

Peterhead lido/marina is brilliant, friendly staff, spotless toilets/showers a large sink for washing babies in,

Hard standing, a beach, a great park for kids, they even have a large stainless steel bbq (you use your own gas) that you can use and plenty outdoor seating under a pergola next to it.

When we were leaving on sunday morning there were donkey rides just up from the site.

There's also huts that you can rent that sleep 4 with tv, fridge etc.

It's dog friendly site too.

We'll definitely be back. 10/10

Nice, informative and pleasant, relaxed welcome.

Given choice of pitch. Site kept very clean as are the facilities.

Few children about but they appeared well-behaved.

Great location right on beachfront with views out to sea and close to supermarket
