Facilities were clean, cafe food was lovely and reasonably priced.

Lovely clean and well maintained campsite.
Couldn't of ask for much more.
Village was a good walk away but dog loved it.
Would definitely stay again.

Absolutely idyllic campsite! The views are incredible with beautiful walks right from site.
The toilets were always clean and the showers were hot and powerful.
It was quiet when I went, really peaceful.
The fields are well drained and mostly flat too.
Aberdaron is a 5 minute drive and has a lovely bakery and a spar shop.
Plus fish and chips, cafes, hotels and the most beautiful beach.
Highly recommend this campsite.
You wont be disappointed!

A quiet location, no village, good for walkers.
Nearest shops, pub and beach is the beautiful Aberdaron, 2. 5 miles (not the 1. 5 miles stated) by very narrow, twisty and sometimes steep roads.
The cliff-path walk to Aberdaron is very rugged in places and takes approx. 2. 5 hours in each direction for the fittest, longer for the not-so fit !
The campsite is kept tidy – the facilities clean and modern but with only one small block of 3 toilets and 2 showers each for men and women, and this the only block serving the three large fields of the site, it is less than adequate in busy periods.
The whole site is mostly sloping, proper ramps are a necessity for caravans and motor-homes, there seem to be few level pitches for tents. Views are generally good from most pitches but not all have views of Bardsey Island.
The on-site cafe has a good reputation but we were unfortunately unable to enjoy this as it was closed for the week of our visit – open in busy periods but certainly not guaranteed at other times.
Camp fees, plus extra for showers, are perhaps a little expensive for the facilities available compared with other sites that we have visited.
Our time spent at Mynydd Mawr was “OK'ish”. But we won't be returning.

The campsite is in a great location with lots of good walking all around and lovely views from a lot of the pitches.
The facilities are fine, though I'm not sure how it would be if the campsite was full.
There's a cafe here which we didn't try as it wasn't open on the days we were staying.
Loved being here and being able to walk from the site without driving anywhere,
The site was very peaceful and friendly

We camped with my Mum, brother and sister, kids and 3 dogs. The owners were lovely and extremely helpful and allowed our sister to camp near us despite booking later.
The views are amazing with the site right on a coastal walk. It was great for all all to be able to camp together after not seeing each other for so long.
There were no strict rules but it wasn't too noisy etc either. We had a great stay and would definitely return.
The only downside was the showers. They were very clean etc but require 50p for a few minutes. Bit of a pain but the campsite more than makes up for this.

Mynydd Mawr has some stellar reviews but we were left feeling somewhat disappointed. At £38 per night for a family of 4 we were surprised to have to pay extra for the showers. 50p bought 3min45 but then you needed to push the button every 5-10s to keep the water flowing, not a great experience.
The facilities in general were inadequate for the number of pitches, the gents had 3 toilets, 2 showers and 3 sinks for an estimated 80 pitches at the time of our stay.
Both toilets and showers were always in demand and their condition reflected this.
The location was nice but not amazing with the view of the sea somewhat limited.
On balance it was a reasonable site in a good location but not somewhere we are likely to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed camping here and had great weather!
The toilets and showers were nice and clean and the showers easy to use.
Carol and Robert are such lovely hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. It was lovely to be able to get coffee and cake on site and appreciate the beautiful views of the ocean!
We would definitely come back here again : ) thank you Carol and Robert!
I would also really recommend Carols Bara Brith cake too! : )
