The farm where we pitched was a working farm and fascinating to watch the dogs and the farmers bringing the sheep down from the fells.
Louise the owner was exceptionally helpful and friendly.
The bus stop was at the end of the drive and ran regularly either way.
The facilities were basic but accessible.
Great stay, would use again

A very friendly campsite, with a very helpful owner, who was very understanding when we decided to cut our visit short by three nights due to poor weather.
Good value for money with good basic facilities.
Excellent position with a very reliable bus service on the main road very near to site.

Please ignore previous negative reviews. This is a lovely spot with all the facilities you need. It is a working farm, so no surprise that farm vehicles are around. Lots of sheep, chickens and a donkey.
Excellent access to the hills behind and short drives to other Lakes locations. The lady owner couldn’t be more helpful.
I will be there again.

Small site in a nice location- very handy for bus service along the A591, walks from the site include Helvellyn and the Dodds, the Thirlmere circuit, Raven Crag etc.
Site is very sloping so big chocks are necessary if you need to be anything approaching level.
Its a working farm so expect a bit of noise at times.
Owners are very helpful and friendly, facilities could be better but at £15 a night, £1 for a shower isn't bad.
Directions are a little vague but simply turn into the track that is the start of the Sticks Pass/Glenridding bridleway and follow it up hill for 50yds.
Will visit again

We’ve stayed here a few times and it’s a good little CL.
Friendly welcome, hot shower and excellent locations.
We used the lay-by pitches this time rather than they main CL area and it was ideal for easy access on a one night stay.
Good views in all directions.

Good little farm site with easy access from A591 and good walking access directly from the site to Helvellyn and other fells.
Facilities are basic but more than adequate.
Owners very welcoming and laid back.
Great value for money!

This is a small site on a working farm. Ideally situated on the main A591 between Keswick and Grasmere, but set back from the road so noise isn't an issue. Friendly, welcome. Good facilities. Excellent base for walking Helvellyn, the Dodds or Thirlmere.

Anyone with physical restrictions needs to be aware water has to be pulled up a steep incline. Although booked in and deposit paid we were unable to stay because of this. Return of deposit refused even though the pitch was re-let.
Pitches which are literally on side of a road have restricted space, but are level to the water tap (all full on our arrival)
Very rough approach to the Farm.
Accurate instructions to find site.
Beautiful views over mountains!
Good location to tour Lake District.

Busy working farm with plenty of activity. Very pleasant, friendly family.
Ground very hard and uneven so putting an awning up was difficult. Lovely views, good spot for touring area.
Would not like to be on the narrow strip at the side of the farm entrance. Very reasonably priced and facilities were adequate. Track from main road was poor.
Pub nearby and was very pleasant but only had a snack and a drink but dog friendly.
Lots of farm dogs who were often on the site but all seemed friendly.

Spent one night at this small, members only site.
It is located on the A591, about 6 miles from Keswick in teh direction of Thirlmere. It's a working farm with lots of animals, but had excellent shower and toilet facilities. Staff really friendly and prices very reasonable.
Location is excellent - it's right on the footpath to the Helvellyn range, and some of the best hillwalking country in the Lakes.
There's a pub under a mile away - we didn't try it, but it seemed popular.
A great small site. Will certainly return.
