The owners were very friendly if a bit disorganised. Luckily we are honest and paid up even though they didnt know if we had or hadnt.

We were pitched 1 metre away from our friends tent, which was far too close as a visit to the loo meant more ropes than a climbing frame. We were also pitched next to a road which was used as a racing track by young lads in fast cars until all hours in the morning. But seeing someone was having a get together until 3am they were not the only thing keeping us awake - thought there was camping etiquette about keeping the noise down??

The showers were overpriced and whatever time you got there ended up in a sit on the bench waiting for a few people to finish. The new breeze block toilets were just finished when we got there, and I did use one as soon as the door was put on - dont know if there is a roof on yet? Being brand new there was no problem with them. Trying to wash up dishes in freezing water was horrible and we did visit a camp site that my sister was staying on and I didnt want to come back to this one. And found myself doing their washing up so I could try what hot water was like!

I wouldnt use this site again but it was booked only a week before a bank holiday weekend and everywhere else was booked up. An experience. *

On first arriving at the site we were surprised to find that it was right on a main road, but in beautiful surroundings (great for an artist) but as other reviews have said, "feels like you are camping in someones back garden".
We went with a party of people and although we are close we did not envisage sleeping on top of each other, which due to the over booking and bank holiday was precisely what we did. If we would not have been a party altogether I would have left the minute we saw the pitch. Others had pitched when we arrived and when others arrived later in the day they were parked that close to each other they couldn't even open their awning!
The facilities are very basic which isn't a bad thing, but it was a pain to keep getting 60p vouchers for the showers, and we did feel like we were waking the owners up when we asked at 7 in the morning to avoid the ques. Due to the site being on a main road, the locals thought it would be hilarious to beep loudly whenever they passed by, sometimes quite late at night and early hours of the morning, which when your trying to get a baby to sleep doesn't help!
But although the site isn't great the owners are really helpful and were fabulous with the children. There is a very small park for them to play in but our children really enjoyed it as did we when the MANY tents, tourers and vans had disappeared, plus the owners were very accommodating for the party and some of the late nights we sat up chatting. We would go to Anglesey again, but would choose a different site - sorry! *

Stayed here for the August bank holiday weekend and came away with mixed feelings.

Situated in a nice quiet countryside location about 2 miles outside of Llangefni (ASDA, Spar & Co-op in town).

The campsite is small and right next to a main road which has regular passing traffic from around 7.30am onwards.

The facilities are basic but clean and comprise of 2 very small combined shower / toilets and a new breezeblock building which has 2 toilets.

The owners are very helpful and always more than happy to assist in anyway they can (its true that they make you a cup of tea and hand out ice pops to the kids!)

The downside is that they are charging far too much for the standard of the facilities.

The owners will also take as many bookings as they possibly can and then squeeze everybody together.

All in all, we had a good weekend and visited some lovely places on the island.

The campsite was well situated for getting about the island but unfortunately we found the facilities very substandard. There were 2 functioning toilets for the 24 units when we arrived and by the end of the weekend 2 more. 3 of these were however shut for 30mins for on several occasions for various reasons leaving one functioning.
There was a cold water supply to two "washing up sinks" attached to a shed but the water was sparse when working. The toilet area was very shabby and there was a junk area at the end of it with broken down vehicles including a bus and ambulance.
The shower was in with a toilet and in the entrance was a washer and fridge but as people in the shower often locked both doors you couldn't always get to your food.
We reserved our pitch and paid deposits in advance but had to argue to get what we were promised as apparently reserving and booking still left you in first come first served situations and they also tried to get us to pitch the tent on a steep hill and not have the electric hook up we required.
I would suggest serious attention to the facilities and a realistic view of the amount of units the site was capable of holding would make this site a more plesant place to stay. We however will not be returning there. *

This is a small site that we booked at short notice (Friday orning arriving Friday night). All other sites in the area were full.

The way the telephone was initially answered did worry me a little, in that we just got 'Hello', thus leaving me wondering what kind of site we were going to.

However, once we arrived we couldn't have been made more welcome. As per other comments on here it is a little like camping in someones garden, but even so we were encouraged to spread out as much as we wanted, since the site was quiet when we arrived and no more happy campers were expected.

The toilet facilities were basic but kept clean, showers cost 50p for a token to cover water and electric costs. Currently there are also disabled facilities under construction, although parts of the site are somewhat hilly, thus this may be a problem for wheelchair users.

I spent the first hour on site (we arrived at about 8pm) trying to get the kids to keep quiet, until the site owner told me not to bother as they were disturbing no-one!

All in all a very welcoming site that I wouldn't hesitate to either recommend or visit again myself. The prices are very reasonable too!

When we went this year they were as helpful as ever. Went last year as well in a tent but only for 3 days, this time we stayed 6 nights. Costs very little, the owners are very friendly and always willing to give you help with whatever you need.

To be honest people are complaining about the toilets but this is camping after all so they have to get used to it. There's a sink, 2 toilets, a shower (and now a second shower, I believe), and somewhere to wash up.

This is our favourite place to stay.

Very quiet site and very well recommended :)

Tyn Y Felin is like no other campsite I have ever stayed at, We actually drove past several times not believing that this was it! The owners were extremely friendly and made us a cup of tea and plate of chips for the kids on arrival and also brought us a cup of tea and lolly ices for the kids as we were packing up. There are beautiful views all around, it is small peaceful and quiet. Feels like camping in someones front garden though!

Unfortunately the facilities are a different story. There is NO hot running water - except for the shower which requires a token purchased for 60p from the owner. There is not even hot water to the washing-up sink. For people staying in a caravan or motor-home perhaps this wouldn't seem too much of a problem, for us in our tent it ground us down, and at the end of four nights we decided that we actually felt ripped off. We ended up moving sites to one 6 miles away, no mean feat with three adults, 6 children plus two babies and three tents to take down and put up again - so not a light decision. Also we got the impression that big kids are ok as long as they dont play! We were asked to keep footballs away from the house and car collection on the front - it really was their front garden so there was not a lot left to do. The kids did love playing hide and seek, and the place felt very safe for a run-away toddler.

We came away with very strong positives and very strong negatives, sadly the negatives won and we wont return here again, which is a shame because it has so much to offer and the owners are so friendly. A bit of money spent on plumbing and decor would make the difference.

This was our very first camping trip and we had a wonderful couple of days here. The owners are very welcoming - bringing pots of tea and ice pops for the children while we were pitching the tent. The site is small and very quiet ( apart from the sheep in surrounding fields !lol) We had no problems pitching our very large tent. Toilet facilities were basic but very clean and extra toilet/shower was being installed while we were there. We are definitely planning a return visit this year. The owners hospitality is second to none and nothing is too much trouble. We can't wait to go back !

Small friendly site made cup of tea on arrival which we've never had before. They only accept between 5 and 15 pitches at any one time. Very quiet site - children were told to quiten down after about 7.00 o`clock so not very good if you want a more lively site, but nice if you want to relax. Woman very helpful as one of our boys fell over and got very dirty so I asked her if she could wash his top, which she did with no problems. You could freeze your ice packs at no charge or even use the small fridge. The only draw back to this site is the toilet facilities, they were clean but they were more like an ensuite shower room than a normal camping toilet/shower block, so if someone was having a shower you couldn`t use the toilet. There was dish washing facilities
