Had a very pleasant few days on this lovely site. We could not have been made more welcome by the owners Alison and Herbert and by Mark. It had every amenity you would need and all were kept extremely clean.
The newly heated pool was a real bonus and well situated to catch the full sun.
There was a wide range of pitches to choose from and many offered the shade needed when the temperatures reached the high 30’s. We could walk into the town within 20 minutes which for us with a motorhome was a real bonus.
We would certainly visit again.

We could not have been more welcome by Herbert, Allison and Abby, nothing was too much trouble. The site is very near the town but still very quiet. There is a lovely walk into Bressuire along the river. The site has all the facilities anyone would want including a lovely pool.

Met up with friends for a two week stay. Great little site, not too big but has everything you need.
Robert and Amanda are brilliant hosts and go out of their way to be helpful, nothing is too much trouble.
Loads of places to go round about from little local villages to the beaches of the vendee and Marais poitevin.
The pool is fab and never busy when we were there, it is well kept and very clean.
Easy to find and very convenient supermarket with a lovely boulangerie adjacent to it.
Can recommend this site for more than just a short stay.

Excellent in all respects - this is a 'no fuss' site, with excellent, consistently clean, facilities. Includes a well appointed outdoor pool, plenty of shaded areas for pitches and lovely character. As other reviews testify accurately, this is a friendly, well organised site; good value for money, particularly excellent for families, including the play area and swimming. Security also good for vehicles - code at barrier. Dedicated information hut with Wifi also included.
As with many French camp sites, it is worth noting that the electric is reverse polarity. Bring an adapter but Robert kindly lent us one.
Would stay here again. By the way, the Google Earth shot bears little resemblance to the site - you miss the slopes and trees.

Stayed for 6 nights at the Puy Rond at the begining of August.
I can't fault the site it had all the requirements to keep you happy. Everything was well thought out by Amanda and Robet our host's, even down to having washing lines strategically erected in the sun, and with pegs! The toilets were kept immaculately clean at all times and the showers and washing up facilities the same. It was the little touches that made the facilities welcoming. There is a lovely clean swimming pool also which our hosts have again catered for everyone with a little shaded part with table and chairs and loads of sun loungers.
Our pitch was not the largest pitch we have been on, but you know, our fellow campers were so good we did not notice the closeness of our neighbours. I think the field we were on had a lot of overnight campers for easy in easy out units. We noticed that the whole camp site appeared to always go to bed around the same time. This little site was not at all noisy and we would use it again as a good stop over.

A lovely little site just a short walk from the town of Bressuire, a small town with a few bars and restaurants and local shops. Supermarkets are short drive away. We were pitched on what I would call the main field and it can get very busy, although a lot of people where just 1 night stops. Site is kept very tidy the owners Robert and Amanda work very hard to maintain it and are a lovely couple. Toilet block is excellent and never had to queue, washing machine on site at a small charge. Small swimming pool which can get busy at times. The weekend we arrived was the Bressuire Le Mans, where they close off the town and vintage cars are on show and race around the streets, a fantastic atmosphere and well organised. There is a small market twice a week in town and if you don't mind a drive Thours has a fantastic market Friday morning. We had a lovely time at Puy Rond and if in the area would not hesitate to return

We stayed for 2 weeks in a Chalet in August 2015. Robert was on hand to welcome us when we arrived and showed us to our chalet. The chalet was really pleasant and in a lovely location on the site. There are 7 of us in our family (5 children aged from 2 to 10). We could sleep comfortably in the chalet and the decked veranda was like an other room in the chalet and with the beautiful weather, we ate all our meals out there. There is a playground right beside the chalets and the children used this a lot. It was a great facility. The pool is also a super amenity. It was too cold for me but the rest of the family loved it. The pool is really well kept and the area around it is very nice. There are plenty of chairs, tables and sun loungers at the pool.
We really didn't want the busy atmosphere of a large, coastal campsite so Puy rond was just perfect for us. It is such a quiet, relaxing campsite and we couldn't fault it. There were plenty of people coming and going but it never felt crowded and the pool was never too packed either. Robert and the site wardens, Doug and Sue couldn't have been nicer or friendlier.
Bressuire is a large town with every shop that you could need. The market in Bressuire is a really pleasant visit. Bressuire is a great base if you wished to go on a few day trips as it is so close to a major road network. (Nantes/Poitiers) but the coastal towns are very feasible in a day also.
The local Coeur D'or public swimming pool is a must with children, such a great facility within 5 mins of the site. Lots of local villages to visit too, really pretty villages that are steeped in history. Parc de la Vallee is a great day out with children too and really excellent value for money.
We didn't try Futuroscope or Puy du Fou this time but they were highly recommended by a lot of people.

Just returned from a fortnight camping at this site. It is well sign-posted and easy to find; Bressuire is a genuine small French town; if you want tourist kitsch this is not for you. We liked the town, it has great connections for visiting the main attractions of the region. The owner, Robert, is efficient, friendly and welcoming. The site is small and all the better for it. Most visitors there were English with a smattering of Dutch, French and Irish. The facilities are clean and well-maintained by Sue and Dougie who were very kind and helpful. The pool is unheated but clean and just the thing on a hot day. There was hot water for washing and washing-up at all times. Some pitches have more shade than others and are of a decent size. You are close to other people but because the site is well run and quiet we had no issues; folk were friendly but not over-bearing. When the site was full we had to wait occasionally to use the facilities, I fear in this respect it may become a victim of its own success soon. For someone who had never camped abroad however this was a perfect first experience. We'll be returning if we can.

One of the best little sites in France, very friendly we only could stay one night as we were booked in and paid for Nantes. Wished we could have stayed longer. Good facilities great little pool and Robert and his warden ( did not catch his name) so helpful - thanks guys. Already thinking about next year hope to be back.

I am very disappointed to have read the review by Arlotrac, it is very inaccurate and completely unfair to Robert & Amanda.
We visited this site with our large Iveco motorhome & trailer and found it to be a lovely clean, secluded, well kept site which is a credit to Robert & Amanda. The facilities are excellent and kept in a very clean condition.
We are hoping to return this September for a few days whilst on our way down to Catalunya.
