Not very welcoming. Not good customer service instead of hello or good morning you get 'you alright ' toilets ok ish not cleaned well seems just blue loo chucked down & showers inadequate really need updating far to small not cleaned proply ground very hard. Bar not to bad however tables could do with a good wipe as they are very sticky food not the best for the price. Seemed to be full of permanent stayers who didn't seem keen on outsiders. Think the site caters for mostly owners & not much thought for the tourers. The only real good thing for me was being away with the wife & hearing the cows Cockerell & donkey in the mornings would not stay again & certainly wouldn't recommend really can't see the facination of the place.

My wife and I have been using this site for several years mainly because it has always offered much better value than any other site on the island. Although we don't use clubhouses or swimming pools they are there for those who want them. While the Amenity block is basically a couple of Portacabins it has always been adequate and regularly cleaned. Unfortunately, this no longer seems to be the case. The site underwent a change of ownership a year ago and I am afraid that cleaning seems to be bottom on the list of priorities. We arrived on the Sunday after the early Bank Holiday weekend, and when it got to Wednesday and the Ladies block had still not been cleaned properly, we decided to call it a day. There were used disposable razors, shampoo bottles and a dirty nappy still in the cubicles from when we arrived, and all the 'cleaners' had appeared to do was squirt some loo cleaner in the toilet bowls and not even use a brush. The shower cubicles, the sinks or the floors were not touched or swept, and there were layers of loose toilet tissues just stacked on top of the loo roll machines. By this time it was getting rather smelly! It seems like the cleaning side of the site has been entrusted to a couple of teenagers who have no idea what is required of them. We will not be using this site again unless the new owner gets things sorted out. Shame really, we have had some enjoyable stays here in the past.

Very nice site, friendly, helpful staff, kids enjoyed entertainment, especially the song bingo! Definitely need rock pegs for All peg loops, as ground very hard and normal pegs are useless. The site is more geared towards those using caravans/touring caravans/ chalets then tent users.
The toilet block although cleaned once a day is inadequate for its use. The toilets and basins are fine, but the shower cubicles are too small with no where to put clothes etc with out getting wet on the floor or enough space to get dry! My advice is take a plastic bag to putting them on. There are NO PRIVATE wash areas and Myself and the kids had to dart in and out of the cubicles to freshen ourselves up! There are also NO PRIVATE showers in the swimming pool! ! Very strange! Ok, if you have shower in caravan / chalet / touring van, but not if you have tent! Also bring a hairdryer with you, as I had to use hand dryer, which wasn't much good! All the campsites I have been to, there have never NOT had these facilities available. I don't know what disabled users who pitch tents on this site use, as there are stairs up to the toilets! I think the whole thing needs to be pulled down and rebuilt!
The position of the site is great! Beach and shops nearby, not too far from rest of kent. It was very windy on our first day so a wind break is a must! Although, the toilet/shower block was not up to its use, the rest of the campsite facilities were great! And we bad a lot of fun!

On our last night of a two night stay at Sheerness. Welcome staff were friendly and helped get us two pitches together even though we were one electric and the other non-electric.
Setting up our tent was hard work as the ground is rock solid (rock pegs needed), I think we will need to replace almost all of ours.
Reception gave us pitch one, so our non-electric friends could be next to us, fab idea but wish we hadn't. Pitch one is right next to reception, not a problem! Opposite the park and club house, at first thought, great!. Hating it. Its currently 23.36pm and the music is thumping through the tent, very loud people everywhere and kids screaming up and down. An ideal pitch if your the last to leave the club let's say! Not when you have 3 young kids.
Overall the site is nice, toilets/showers are far from the worst we have used, pool was fun for the kids and the bar not to badly priced!
Site could do with someone about at night to keep the noise down as it did not go quiet till 03. 30am.

What a good week, so OK it was a bit windy at times due to the open location and the ground was a bit hard for the pegs but the site was good.
The toilets and showers could have done with a bit of extra cleaning at times but overall it was an excellent week.
The club was always good and we participated in everything 'the chicken head gang'. The pool was a good distraction for the kids and the bar for the adults.
Close to town for shopping and the staff really friendly. Will be going again at some point, excellent value for money

We have just enjoyed a stay at this site for 2 nights, we only live 25 minutes away so thought we would try this site as it was cheap £24 for Friday & Saturday nights) & we were drawn by the promise of a large indoor swimming pool.
The site is easy to find & just a 5 minute drive to the town of Sheerness, which has most shops & services you would need. The site itself has a completely refurbished club house & bar with prices similar to many normal pubs.
The swimming pool although reminiscent of an asbestos prefab from the 1940s was actually excellent, it was kept at 31 degrees & very clean inside the little complex & the water was the perfect temperature, the other bonus if you have kids is there is no deep end as although the pool is approx 20 metres in length the depth throughout was 3.1 feet.
The toilet facilities were old but serviceable & I would be concerned at how usable they would be if the site was busy ie. 2 toilets & 3 showers all very small & no mirrors above the sinks. The facilities were clean but there were very few campers this weekend.
Ground, reception & pool staff very friendly & there was nightly entertainment for kids & adults, the bar staff though were less friendly & obviously did not care for guest welfare based on the way some new guests for the static caravans were treated when they asked for bedding for their kids!
Overall this was an enjoyable stay & the facilities were worth the money, we will come back later in the year.

We visited sheerness for a 5 night stay with our 4 children. It cost us 139quid we arrived midweek so it was nice and quiet and we were lucky to choose any of their large tent pitches as no others were there. We were right at the back.
We had a total nightmare getting the tent up - the ground was rock solid. We bent many tent pegs trying to get them in the ground - thank god we had spares. One guy that later turned up beside us asked for a refund as he broke all is pegs and couldn't put his tent up. So this may be worth mentioning if you book.
The site itself was very nice, staff were fab, welcoming and the two entertainers were very welcoming and fun. Loopys kids club was at 10. 30am and 6pm - my youngest two loved loopy rabbit, who also does welcome visits around the park at 2. 30pm on check in day to welcome the kids. Entertainment in evenings was good, with bingo each night, other games, a karaoke, disco and at weekends cabarets. They also do a beauty pageant and uk's got talent on a weds that kids can enter.
The clubhouse restaurant was basically in the club house, not away from the hustle and bustle so if your looking for a quiet meal it wont be here. Food was OK, nothing outstanding and I guess standard prices for a clubhouse.
Also a large park outside which kids loved.
The pool was large and a clean area, a unisex changing room but with cubicles. No slides etc but they and rubber rings and balls etc for kids to play with.
For me, sadly, the biggest let down was the ladies toilet/shower block. The day I arrived there was a blocked toilet, stuffed with tissue and it was still like that two days later. They were often dirty, with all sorts smeared on the wall! There was often no soap so take your own, and they also run out of tissue most days, I always took my own in the end. They didn't smell very pleasant and I noticed the cleaner would often not rinse her mop when cleaning the floor which was never done properly anyway. Although I did make harsh complaints about the toilets amongst others, so hopefully it will be better now.
I cant complain about showers, always clean and hot. Funny enough - my husbands and sons were gobsmacked. Apparently the mens loo's were clean and completely fine!
Well apart from the toilet disappointment, we booked for 5 days and stayed 10, it should have been 30 quid per extra night but they kindly gave it to us for 22 quid per night, so it wasn't all that bad. And when complaints were made - staff couldn't be more helpful.
Its about a 10/15 min walk to the high street, there are a few pubs along the way, but as we had kids we didn't go in these. On the beach front there's a macdonalds, arcades, diner, and a fab sandy park for kids. Beach is stony but great for shell hunting and when the tide goes out, great for crab hunting.
There's a canal alongside the site, if you walk along this canal and over the bridge you'll come across bartons point, a boating place that has a quaint coffee shop, park, beach across the road etc.

Went to this site primarily to try out a new 3 man popup tent for one night. But ended up staying for two nights with my lad.
Toilet blocks basic but functional and a pretty large pub/ entertainment area. Friendly staff too.
We were well outnumbered by touring vans with only about 5 tents there. Be warned, the ground is VERY rocky. You will need rock pegs, or plenty of spare pegs to bend and break!
Overall a nice site with some good scenery and beaches nearby. Wouldn't spend a week there but as a weekend getaway its great. Will probably visit again sometime next year.

You are made to pitch up on the perimeter of the site which is so hard and rocky we bent all of our pegs.
Three foot behind the site is a smelly, rubbish ridden canal and to the left is a car scrap yard.
The campsite is covered in dog mess, rubbish and graffiti.Caravans had windows smashed and gas bottle covers missing.
The toilets you paid £15 deposit for worked but were run down and old. The door to the gents was smashed in so the key was'nt even needed, inside there was no mirror for shaving and pipe work to urinal was broken.
The ladies door lock worked but the hand dryers did not.
The shop is a room off the main office and was shut.
All night you can hear a bleeping noise from reversing lorries and crashing metal from a nearby factory works.
We only stayed one night and left in disgust, it does't get much worse than this!
