 Located just off a main road, the site has 5 hard standing pitches and space for a further 2 or 3 pitches for smaller campers and tents further down on grass. The 5 hard standing pitches all had electric.
Price was £25 per night for us (2 adults), 2 dogs and a motorhome of 8. 5m. The pitches weren’t very generous and we over hung a bit but they didn’t seem bothered by this and neither were we.
There were about 5 showers and a washing up area outside but under cover and also a common room which had a microwave and washing machine in. Lovely views out across the sea and very peaceful.

Wow a beautiful place to stay, half hour walk to the beach.
All facilities top class clean tidy and accessible.
Ideal place to stay to explore south shetland.
Wish it was nearer for us to travel to revisit

This is a community run campsite staffed by volunteers. When booking via email I found the responses very quick, helpful and informative.
The site is split into 4 hard standing pitches level with the toilets and kitchen area and then 2 further hard standing pitches and a grassed area for tents below (a little hill to drive down for a few steps if you are walking. Both areas have fabulous views out to sea, we were lucky enough to see Orcas in one of the bays from the campsite.
There is a kitchen area with sink, microwave and toaster. There is also a washing machine £3 a wash and a tumble dryer £2 for 20 minutes. This area also has 3 small tables and chairs and a 2 seater sofa. This was a real communal area which full of maps and information and a great place to mix with other travellers. There are also some benches outside this room.
2 unisex toilets and 1 shower, also a accessible bathroom with toilet and shower. For me these facilities really let the site down and are the reason I wouldn’t return unless in a self contained caravan or motor home where I didn’t need to use the site toilets and showers.
Though we saw cleaners every day who no doubt worked hard the shower was full of mould and the toilets really didn’t smell great at any time of the day. These facilities really do need an overhaul and I think for the amount of pitches there needs to be more.
Overall a great site which is really let down by the toilets and showers in my opinion

Lovely volunteer run community site in a wonderful location. It's a small site with a handful of hard standing pitches for campervans, and a grass field for tents and smaller campervans.
It's just off the main Lerwick / Sumburgh road, which isn't really a very busy road, even during the day. You can also walk up the hill from Levenwick village, which only takes a few minutes.
The site itself is lovely. Gorgeous views out to sea, and towards the lovely beach at Levenwick.
The toilets and shower were clean and perfectly adequate.
There's also a campers room with laundry facilities, kettle, microwave, washing up area, sofa, small dining tables, and a few books and leaflets about the area. This wee room is brilliant!
The volunteer staff were there cleaning during the day and to collect payments in the evening.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here, and only wished I could have stayed longer.
Hopefully be back again in the future.

This lovely site up on a hillside with fabulous views out to sea.
The pitches are level with a mixture of hard and grass standings, with or without electric plug installations.
There are new toilets & showers and an excellent cooking and dinning area all lovely and clean.

This site has amazing facilities! 5 pitches on hard standing ( adjacent to hall car park) and lower level grass area for tents and one or two small camper vans.
Toilets, shower, and well furnished day room with washing up, laundry etc are all immaculate. Wardens and cleaner are all volunteers and all teenage boys. They deserve a lot of praise.
The site is on the main road, but there is no noticeable noise ( and very little traffic). Wonderful community garden for campers’ use, and 50 metres from the site a lane leads down a steep hill to a small shop, and on after about a mile, to a glorious beach.
There were no children on site, but the small size of many Shetland sites doesn’t allow much play space, but the community garden has a mud kitchen and ample seating for parents to relax while the children play.

Was a fabulous site, clean tidy, staff were about early evening time if there was a problem. Peaceful just what we needed.
Access to facilities was good for me.
I was right beside the stairs which was helpful as Ive got breathing problems.
Couldn't rate this site more and will certainly use again

Stayed here for a few nights as part of a cycle tour around Scotland.
Easy to find - it is just off the main road. Friendly locals run it - as a community scheme to keep the local hall etc going.
Level grass for camping, a little shelter - and stunning views!
There is a great kitchen area with hot water, kettle etc. Plenty of room for sitting inside if the weather is bad, also outside table too. Showers/loos were excellent. Recycling bins.
It was a really good base to explore southern Shetland from. We were tired so left our bikes there and took the bus to Sumbergh Head to see the puffins and Jarlshof (PUFFINS!) We also hitched to see St Ninians Isle - although there is a bus.
Tiny shop in village, larger ones at St Ninians and Toab to the south. Cycling back up to Lerwick - there were several cafes and shops in the villages along the way - including a great farm shop on the main road.

Lovely site with views down to Levenwick beach.
Facilities were very clean and welcoming.
Met Willie the deputy warden who gave us lots of tips on local things to see and do.

An excellent location with a spectacular view. Only 17 miles from the ferry port at Lerwick.
I have a Camper van and a tent so I was pitched on grass with EHU but larger vans, motorhomes and caravans are pitched on hardstanding, also with EHU.
The facilities are amazing. First class showers and toilets which are kept amazingly clean.
There is a large communal room with tables and chairs and a kitchen with washing machine, tumble drier, sink, microwave and kettle.
This room leads out into a partially covered patio also with tables and chairs. So it is an excellent site for backpackers as well as campervans, motorhomes and caravans.
The site is run by volunteers who are very friendly and helpful. There is a beautiful beach in walking distance and also a shop.
I cannot recommend this place enough.
