We visited for our 8th year in August 2016. Not a lot had changed since last year. Still a great place to go if you like peace and quiet and the added advantage of camping units well spaced out. No cars allowed on the camping area which somehow makes it feel even more quiet.
Kay's meals just as good as always. Local restaurants still good and now a Pizza take away on some evenings in the village 3 minutes away.
Local bakers doing a good trade, bread etc baked in wood ovens across the road from the shop.
We are booked for 2017. Staying in the Blue house for a change. This year we are cycling to the site from Roscoff, along the 'green ways' train and canal tracks, hardly any road. Planing on taking 3 leisurely days to get to the site. Children not happy! they want to get their asap!
I have given site facilities 10/10. If you like big commercial sites with music in the toilets then you will not agree with me. However, if you like basic but clean facilities you will be fine.
Great little site if you like to get away from it all.

Back for our 7th year. Things have changed a little as Tony is not well and Kay is operating the site and farm on her own. We had another lovely family holiday. Helping on the farm is not required, but I cant sit still, so helping gives me something to do.
I took my road bike again this year and found some great rides. Went fishing again with the children on the canal. Also visited the drained lake Guerledan (will be filled again in October 2015).
Met lots of other families that have been returning for many years, all planning to return again next year, our children love it.
The football comp was another great hit this year, everyone mucking in to mark out a pitch, be referee and organise teams and fixtures.
Kay's food still lovely but we are venturing out more now the children are getting older. This is a great place L Atelier Bistrot Langoelan, about 10 minutes away. Check it out on trip advisor!
A few of us were discussing the site over some wine one evening, we could not decide what made it so magical, but then that is often the case with special things.

Back for our sixth year. Met old friends and made some new ones. Still has the same magic and have booked already for next year.
After years of passing the bar at Bonen we eventually called in. Great place to eat simple well cooked food at good prices. Will be calling there next year.
Nothing more to add to earlier posts, this is still our favourite site.

I left a small part of my heart at Belle Vue with the owners and the girls. A rare gem of a site which was friendly warm and like a community. Myself and my family stayed in our trailer tent for a fortnight and none of us wanted to leave! The children spent the whole time PLAYING! No computers, tablets or arguing, just old fashioned play. Lots of games of football, cricket, hide and seek, table tennis and boules. The swimming pool was separate to the rest of the camp so no worries about the children sneaking in and getting into trouble. Kay has a sensible rule that all children must be with a parent while in the pool area otherwise the other parents are to throw them out.
Lots of planned activities such as barbeques, games, camp fires and dinners. There is also a chance to order fresh bread and croissants etc from the mobile baker as well as eggs, milk, potatoes, sausages etc from the farm itself. You can also hire bikes of all sizes from the farm if you fancy battling some of those hills!
We took advantage of the pizza oven hidden in the woods. The children collected the fire wood and made the pizzas and the adults cooked them, it was a fantastic experience.
The nearest supermarkets are in the nearby town of Rostrenen. Here you will find a choice of E. Leclerc, Intermarche or Lidl as we as a pharmacy and restaurants.
There are many places along the Nantes-Brest canal to picnic which are stunning and would be ideal places to take a bike ride.
To sum it up, we will be looking to go back to Belle Vue again in the future and would highly recommend the trip to anyone who is looking for a relaxing and friendly holiday.

We've just spent 8 nights with Kay, Tony and their family. Visiting this campsite is more like going to stay with friends. From the moment you meet them they're very welcoming.
When we arrived we had one neighbour on the campsite. Pitches are on a sloping field but have been individually levelled to provide a good sized pitch for any unit. Once you're set up you are asked to park your car outside the farm house which is great as it makes the site nice and safe for children playing.
Toilet and shower facilities are in 2 blocks, one next to the gites, one nearer the swimming pool. Reception and bread collection are in the farmhouse. Electric is included in the price and is available on every pitch via a cable trailed down the field.
There are 2 static caravans on site, pitched a the top of the field. There are also 2 lovely gites.
The family are happy for visitors to join in with feeding the animals in the morning and evening. Children particularly seemed to enjoy helping out. There are free range chickens who come and visit the tent to see if there's any spare bread, also the farm's 3 cats are apparently quite partial to a croissant! Freddie the collie dog enjoyed sitting with us for a while before happily wandering off again.
The swimming pool is heated a good depth and a good size. There are a variety of floats, etc. To play with and plenty of chairs and sunloungers around it.
Sunday night is chicken and chips night, delivered to your pitch! Monday night is BBQ night sitting with the family and other guests outside the farmhouse, Thursday is meal of the week, again outside the farmhouse. Kay is a very good cook and food was excellet value.
The site is very rural and quiet. There are lots of pretty towns within easy reach. It's about an hour drive to lovely sandy beaches at Guidel Plages (there's also a naturist beach just before that we found by accident, sitting there thinking hmm, we're the only ones here wearing clothes!)
About 3/4 hour away there's also a zoo that was a good day out.
Nearest supermarkets are in Rostrenen, a largish Intermarche and smaller E LeClerk.

Our 5th year on this site and it was just the same, perhaps even better this year as the weather was fantastic. Can't add much more to the previous reviews really. Food still great, super to eat meat and veg from the farm. Lovely to see Kay and the family again along with all campers who return year in year out. Fab.
The Komquat pizza restaurant in Rostrenen is still excellent. Kay will book it for you. It seems they now get very very busy.

Back for the 4th year in a row and just as good as ever. Thanks to Tony, Kay & family for making it another great holiday.
Very nice to see those who return each year. Children had a great time again.
We ate as much as possible from the farm this year and loved it, BBQ most of the time but also made a big lamb casserole and chicken casserole using the bread oven 2 nights. Cooked for 2 families. Used the rebuilt mud oven twice to make pizza. Also baked bread in the oven.
Chicken, pork and lamb from the farm are all available for sale, plus ham and pate.
The Komquat pizza restaurant in Rostrenen is still fab. Had lunch there surrounded by local french folk, loved it!
Kays meals are still super and it was nice to eat at 'the house' each Thursday night. Chicken & chips delivered to your tent on a Sunday & BBQ on a Monday.

What can I say? Of all the campsites we have stayed at, this is by far the most relaxing one I have ever been to. As soon as you arrive, you are instantly relaxed. I think that is due to the fact that there are no cars, the kids are able to roam freely and in safety, and there are only 8 or so pitches.
It is run by an English family, and Kay and Tony are so welcoming, interesting and interested in the guests. There is a daily bread/pastry delivery, farm chores and animals to feed. The kids loved making friends and getting involved with the animals.
There are pony rides, bikes to borrow and amazing cycle rides to be had especially along the canal. Each week there is a barbeque, which everyone is invited to and is a great way to meet people. There is also a roast chicken dinner, and lots of other ways to be involved.
The people there are either going to come back, or have been before. We have friends who have been two years running, it is the sort of place that you just want to come back to!
Couldn’t recommend it more highly!

Stayed at Belle Vue end of June, arrival day pouring with rain. We should have been camping, Kay offered us the use of the mobile home until it stopped, we stayed in the mobile home for the remainder of our holiday.
Kay and Tony very friendly and helpful, Kay cooks evening meals if required which are very good value. Campsite takes about six tents, with electric hook-up, two mobile homes, two ready erected tents with full kitchen and proper beds and two gites, swimming pool, toilet block with super family shower room, with toilet and wash basin, smaller shower room with toilet and separate toilet, washing up area outside but under cover, did not use as we stayed in mobile home.
Based on a farm where you can help feed the animals with Tony and help on veggie garden if you wish!
No set play area for children but plenty of things for children to do away from computers and TV.
No shops in Mellionnic but plenty in Rostrenen about 20 mins away. Fresh bread and croissants delivered to farmhouse daily, if ordered the night before.
Wonderful rural site away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life but near enough to pretty towns and villages.
Kay, Tony and family very friendly and helpful and make you feel like part of their family. Would definitely go back (when the sun is shining!)

Spent 5 nights with Kay and family over Easter on our second visit to Belle Vue, which was just as good as our first.
Tony and Kay are the perfect hosts even ringing us one night to tell us we had left our camper van lights on. The kids helped out on the farm, fed the animals, bottle fed lambs, rounded up the sheep and went horse riding. The late night trip to the barn to feed the lambs with Kay was the highlight of their holiday.
The farm is gearing up for the summer season and we all can't wait to go back. A treasure of a site.
