I can’t say enough good things about la violliere.
Chris and Pete were lovely, the site is beautiful and very very peaceful, great facilities and most importantly, there’s a super handsome and friendly little kitten.
We will definitely be going back there.

What a little gem of a site. We were visiting French friends in L' Absie just a few miles away.
It's a cl type site only 6 units allowed but the pitches are huge, water and electric.
The toilets are in an old cow barn which have been done to a very good standard, two showers and two washing sinks two toilet's with paper and two cubicles to wash plenty of hot water.
L' Absie is a nice town with a Carfour supermarket and shops.
Lots to do in the area Christine and Peter are very friendly and will give you all the info you need.
Would definitely recommend and would stay there again.

We spent 10 lovely nights here in August/September in our folding camper.
The campsite is in a quiet, rural area. Only six pitches in a meadow so plenty of room. The facilities are good and clean with lots of hot water.
The owners - Peter and Christine - are friendly and helpful. The local village has an excellent boulangerie and you have a choice of supermarkets in La Chataignerie.
During our stay we visited medieval towns and villages, a Sunday market and a village fete.
We also did quite a bit of cycling (though there are hills!). There is access to a cycle way on a converted railway track not far from the campsite where you can explore to the left or to the right.
We would certainly recommend the site.

This is a peaceful and charming site, with spacious pitches and good facilities.
Friendly, helpful and engaging owners added to our enjoyment of our stay and we sensed the area is worthy of much more exploration than we had time for.

We stayed on this lovely site for a few nights and absolutely loved it.
Really accommodating and welcoming,
Couldn’t ask for much more in a campsite.

We ( us and our 18 year old son ) camped for 2 weeks on this lovely campsite and if it wasn't for having to return to work, we would have loved to have stayed longer !
The number of pitches is restricted to 6, which means that there is loads of space for everyone.
Rural, very quiet which suits us well. We are keen cyclists so other than for shopping we cycled everywhere to explore the beautiful countryside and the towns and villages.
Sadly the village bakery was shut due to them being on holiday themselves, but there was a Ma Baguette machine and the baguettes were good.
We visited the local bar / restaurant a few times, mostly for drinks, but did eat here one night and the food ( Italian based menu ) was excellent.
The owners Christine and Peter could not have been more welcoming or helpful and this makes this campsite a very special place.
Can't wait to go back !

Had 4 fabulous nights at this lovely charming campsite.
Very peaceful with beautiful views of the sunset.
Spotlessly clean facilities, and Pete & Christine couldn't have been more helpful or nicer (even gave me a gift when they learned it was my birthday).
Highly recommended.

Great welcome from Pete and Chris.
Large camping area with good pitch space although we were the only ones there for most of the time.
Toilet block clean, functional and great conversion from what looks like it was originally a cattle shed.
Lovely country side with great walks from the site and further afield if you want to drive.
A return trip already being planned!

A most tranquil site with superb views and spacious sites. Walking and cycling opportunities, particularly along the old railway route.
The proprietors are friendly and helpful, especially if you are unfamiliar with France, and local area, and may need language assistance. Social evenings arranged with other campers if desired.
We have visited several times and look forward to the next time.

This site was recommended by friends, it proved to be an utter gem. Quiet & peaceful, a place to totally relax.
Very rural and slightly rustic which enhances the pleasure of staying there.
The hosts were very helpful, being there when you needed them, ie finding a doctor for us when we needed one unexpectedly.
Currently planning our next trip for 2020!
