This is a lovely site run by a very nice family assisted by excellent staff. The site is well signposted once you get into the area but our advice is to use your SatNav. The Netherlands is a small country and depending where you are coming from you will need to change motorways a few times especially if you come from Calais via Belgium as we did. If you do come from Calais our advice would be to stopover somewhere in Belgium (we chose Klein Strand) to break the journey. The easiest option would be to get a ferry to the Hook of Holland as Koningshof is not that far away.
The site itself is currently undergoing a refurbishment (complete July 2018). There will be a new reception, restaurant, supermarket amongst other things. The existing buildings will be knocked down to make the entrance area bigger. The toilet blocks have also been recently refurbished so are modern and clean with all the facilities you want although they may struggle at peak times.
Access to some of the standard pitches can be a bit tight but if you have a motor mover on your caravan this should not be an issue. Motorhomer’s should note all the pitches are grass and we have no doubt some would get muddy and boggy in bad weather, so choose your pitch carefully if you can. The motorhome service point is not the best we have seen but is adequate and is located by the second toilet block. Electricity is rated at 10 amps and has the standard blue socket. WiFi is very good and free.
We were there as part of a tour to visit Keukenhof Gardens and watch the flower parade and we were not disappointed especially as the weather was brilliant. If you like cycling as we do this site is for you we went everywhere on our bikes and reception will provide all the information you need. Overall we had a great time and would visit again.

This site was fine, but not as amazing as we had hoped. The location is great, it's really handy for lots of places to visit. There were quite a few low flying planes but given the size of Schipol airport, most of the Netherlands will have low flying planes.
The toilet blocks were clean enough but there was no soap or hand drying facilities at all. There were only 3 showers per block and these did get busy at times.
The shop was fairly well stocked and had fresh bread and parties every morning. The snack bar was ok but I've had much better.
The pool was good for my two little children but older ones might need something bigger and better.
The kids club was poorly run and badly supervised, there we some quite small children wandering around the animation room with no restriction. The evening laid on entertainment was deeply inappropriate with loads of blatant sexual references.
We had a good holiday but probably won't book that site again.

Stayed here on our first trip to Holland arriving following the overnight crossing from Harwich to the Hook of Holland. It is worth arranging an early arrival for 9. 50 euros to be able to go straight to your pitch. We were on pitch 48 opposite the wash block/bins. Difficult to get out of needing the motorhome to be reversed to the road through the site. Fine for a short stay 3 nights.
The wash block itself was clean as was the rest of the site, and we made full use of the washing up facilities as they were so close.
Plenty of airplanes to watch whilst sitting outside.
Friendly staff at reception and in the shop. The latter is well stocked and the breakfast rolls are really good.
We cycled everywhere visiting the bulb fields, windmills and beaches- it s worth venturing further up the coast away from the main resorts but a detailed map of local cycle routes was a must.

This is the second year we have stayed here, the site is quite large and is used by Dutch, UK, German and French in that order. All the staff speak good English and we have found Dutch caravanners to be friendly and helpful offering help and advice. English seems to be widely spoken. We have been at the top of the site both years, and the sites are small. It's seems to be the norm to pitch 'sideways' and face into the middle leaving an area for kids to play which we liked. On arrival our movers packed in and with only a metre or so of spare room to get in there was no reversing option. As soon as I gave up on them a Dutch camper had rounded up help and pushed us in! Kids play area is good, kids love the pool and lighthouse slide. Toilets and showers are very clean, two are dated but the ones near us are good, heated floor even in the summer. Kids club wasn't used as its in Dutch, this is Holland after all! Bikes are a must and the site hires them as the beach and towns are close by and parking near the beach is problematic. Delft and Amsterdam are well within visiting distance, use the P+R for Amsterdam as its only €8 per car. The shop is as per campsite shops the world over, a bit pricey and loads of tat! Big Snack is again pricey for food, but ok. Only a couple of cons, at the top here there are midges/mozzies at night, not loads but a few, and a cockerel in the morning! Oh, and there's free wifi everywhere, I'm sat in the awning, we leave for home in 3 days!

Booked after looking at eurocamp independent brochure and then the reviews on this site. I booked direct through the campsite and saved around £300.00 by doing so - they all spoke fluent English and the whole thing was simple.
The site is quite large and there was a high turnover of people, predominantly in touring caravans. Very popular with Dutch, British (mainly Scots for some reason!), Germans and some French / Belgians.
Really good size pitches in the main, we were on plot 35 (super pitch) which was a good size and easily accommodated our 5 x 8m tent, trailer, bikes and car.
PROs
The swimming pool and play ground were really good for our 2 kids (2&4), well laid out and never got too overcrowded - the boys loved them.
The kids club - although in Dutch obviously the people running it really tried to get all nationalities involved, far better than anything in GB would do!
The shop - well stocked but very limited opening times (4. 5 hours in total a day).
Bike hire - we hired a bike and kids trailer for the day easy and convenient.
Location - plenty around to explore and near Den Haag - great city with lots to do. Beaches at nearby Katwijk were great.
The restaurant - nice food but pricey.
The staff - very helpful and pleasant.
CONs
The toilets / Sanitaire. There are 3 - the closest ones nearest reception smelled disgusting the whole 9 nights we were there. That made us use the 2nd nearest ones which although were clean and less smelly were very dated. The last block which was the furthest rom pitch 35 were the newest / nicest. But serviced loads of pitches and people. I often had to wait for a shower at all times of the day (morning / afternoon & night).
The opening times of snack bar / restaurant / shop. None are open at lunch time! We arrived at 0900 (extra 9 euro) and thought we'd get lunch there after setting up. Nope!
The snack bar food was pretty grim - only used once (12 euro for a £1. 99 frozen pizza).
Al in all a great site severely let down by the toilets. They need re-doing, especially the reception ones that we pretty much deemed unusable.
I am marking this a 7 overall due to the toilets, otherwise the facilities were great.

We spent a week here on our arrival in Holland. The pitch was a good size and in a hedged area taking 4 units (Pitch 19). Due to the heavy rain our pitch was a bit waterlogged but managed to pitch to avoid the water. The staff were friendly and helpful and provided a folder with nearby attractions and maps of Leiden and Katwijk. The facilities blocks were clean (in spite of the weather) although the décor was a bit dated. The shop was well stocked. A refill for a Campingaz 907 cost us 33 euros, which shocked us somewhat.
We didn't use the swimming pool as it was quite cold while we were there. We did, however, try the fishing lake, which was fine.
The site is about 45 minutes from the Hook of Holland so ideal for a short hop after the ferry crossing. We used Camping cheques which made it very reasonably priced.

We've just returned from 8 days at this site and were very impressed.
The site is signposted well from the town and therefore easy to find. The reception staff were helpful, friendly and efficient.
Our pitch was large, and the others seemed to be likewise. The only problem we had was some concrete paving just below the surface in one small area which made getting pegs in difficult. Pitches are grouped in 3s and 4s (sometimes less) with hedges between. The whole park seems to be well cared for.
There were a mix of Dutch, German and British campers on site with a smattering of other nationalities and everyone seemed to get on well.
The toilet/shower block we used (next to pitch 48) had a somewhat dated decor but was always clean with plenty of hot water in showers and basin. We never had to queue. The toilet paper provided is very hard so if you have a sensitive bottom take your own!
The pool area is excellent with indoor and outdoor pools (indoor very warm, outdoor a little more bracing) and a toddlers area. The only thing to bear in mind is the card entry system which doesn't allow re-entry for 1 1/2 hours - so make sure you don't forget your towel!
Our 7-year old only used the play area a little but this seemed well laid out with equipment for a variety of ages. There are also fixed outdoor table-tennis tables.
The on-site supermarket is well stocked and provides fresh bread each morning. We were caught out a couple of times by the restricted opening hours, but there is a supermarket in Rijnsburg just 5 minutes by car or 15 minutes by bike away.
As has been pointed out by others parking at the beach in Katwijk is expensive and difficult to find. Cycling to the beach is probably a better bet. Het Panbos just off the road south of Katwijk is a lovely relaxed woodland area for walks (also has kids play area and cafe).
We would thoroughly recommend this site for a family holiday.

This is a lovely family friendly site. I recommend following the sites directions which are clear and this is the best route to the site - don't follow the sat nav.
Extremely helpfully staff and nothing is a problem. They sorted out a service pitch for us the week before we came. I would recommend the service pitches as they are large.
We are on pitch 92 which is totally hedged in and private. You can choose to be in the larger fields which have big open pitches with a large grassy area in the middle. Cars are not allowed on the pitches which creates more space. There is also free wifi on the site.
Facilities are really good with swimming pools, big swing park, football pitch, tennis court, volleyball court, skateboard ramps and much more. The kids club is in Dutch but they make an effort to include British kids. There is loads going on and you are only a 15 minute cycle to the wonderful beaches at Katwick.
This site is 40 minutes drive from IJmuiden or Hook of Holland. I would recommend this site for a relaxing family holiday.

We have just returned from holiday in Holland. We were going to stay at this site for 3 nights, it was so nice we extended our stay. It was a little pricey, but worth the extra expense.
We enjoyed our stay so much we intend to visit tis site again.
Negatives:
Not many: we had difficulty finding the site with the directions we had. The shop opening hours are limited. The showers are timed. The site is under the flight path for the airport, so is not peaceful.
Positives:
Lots: all the staff are very helpful, nothing is too much trouble. There is a security gate, which is locked from 11pm to 7am. The shower blocks are very clean, there are several around the site. Laundry facilities were adequate. The food in the restaurant is wonderful, but not cheap. The site is dog & child friendly. There are indoor & outdoor pools & loads of other activities on offer.
The site is well located for bulb fields, beaches & city visits. We took the train to Amsterdam using park & ride, this took under an hour.

We have just returned home, after spending 13 nights at Koningshof. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The site was kept beautifully clean and even the weather was kind. The pools are great.
The pitches are very generous, the food from the snackbar was excellent. We went on a trip which was organised by the site, which was not only a brilliant day out, but very good value for money.
The site is very convenient for both exploring by bike and public transport.
We can't wait to visit again.
