A bit difficult to find the first time, although well signposted along the lane. Friendly owners who gave us lots of information about the city of Derry. We got a taxi into the centre, for about £6, to avoid driving and looking for parking. Derry is really interesting.
Good toilet and shower block, although the shower cubicles are really small and there's a changing area outside them. Good hot water and a radiator in the room so nice and warm.
Also a kitchen and lounge area, and laundry for campers, with wifi there. Quiet at night.
Reasonable at £20 a night in May.

Pleasant rural location, but does appear at first as if you're entering a builders yard, but don't let that put you off.
The couple who run it are very welcoming, Facilities are all spotlessly clean.

One of the few open all year sites in the area. Arrived during the Beast from the East bad weather. Warm welcome and even warmer excellent free showers and even free washing machine. Excellent facilities. Caught a taxi into Derry and had a good meal as recommended by the site owner. Taxi fare 5 Euro each way. Great for touring the Inishowen Penynsular.

Fantastic campsite close enough to the city but in a nice quiet location. Received a very warm welcome from the owners who were brilliant with my wee boy. Showed him where the books and toys were and took him on their digger, which made his day. Facilities new and very well kept. Was nice to see the owners were out and about and doing work on the place. We will definitely be back 😃

Clean facilities, enough for the size of site - the bin in the ladies' needed emptying of hand towels, but there is the nice touch of some feminine products in a basket, plus potty & step for youngsters, and disabled shower seats. Very welcome kitchenette/lounge to relax in during inclement weather - books, toys & wifi included! Lovely quiet rural setting, though exposed to the wind. Very helpful pleasant owner. Taxi dirt cheap in & out of Derry, and not far to the shops on the ring road for provisions/pizza etc.

We loved this place! After a day in Derry we needed somewhere peaceful to relax and we found it at Elaghvale. Fantastic views of Derry and Donegal and we had a great welcome from Paul the owner of the site.
Paul and his family have made a real effort to create a really good motorhome site. Very good facilities and motorhome service is well thought out. This is a perfect site for Derry. You probably need to drive into town but the Tourist office in Derry directed us to several laybys suitable for motorhomes in Foyle Road near the Railway museum. Free and no time limit.
Best WiFi we have had at any site during 6 weeks of travel in Ireland!

Lovely stay at this site so close to the city but yet the views are fantastic. Very friendly and helpful owners will definitely be back. Dogs are welcome my four loved it work still ongoing but this doesn't interfere with your stay. New toilet block and shower block opened. Keypad for gate which is very easy to use.

Visited this site to visit Londonderry. Need a taxi to get to the city or a very quick 30 minute walk to a bus stop. The site is run by a very friendly and helpful family. It comprises of all that it says on the brochures etc but the photos hide a great deal. Yes nice views, but the whole site is roughly done. It's like a builders yard in progress but the progress seems to have come to a standstill a long while ago. One toilet, one shower in a combined cubicle and the door in the mens doesn't even shut properly. You can clearly be seen sitting on the loo and the door is fastened with a bit of wire. Two sinks for washing up but you can only get at one, a unit sits in front of the other. The water pipe leading to the shower hangs loosely from the ceiling. Some of The hard standings are at least 3-4 inches higher than the ground around them with no ramp up to them. Not ideal for driving onto so we parked up on an area that was gravelled. The whole site inside and out lacked attention and was appeared rough. It is over priced for what it is. I would not recommend this site and would not visit again

Stayed at this camp site for two nights. The road up to it was small and hard to get passed parked cars etc. Owners were kind people, only seen one of them. The campsite itself isn't finish at all, needs tidying up, concrete instead of rough stone, very windy spot needs some wind block!, grass cut. Toilets locks were broke. No toilet rolls. Only one shower, birds nesting inside. Not much to do on campsite. The price of staying at campsite is way too much, unless it was finished. I would only give 10 pound a night for staying at it.
