Just got back after a weeks stay at this site.
We got lost trying to find the site so rang Paul for directions. He gave us directions and even offered to come out and collect us.
When we arrived we were given an extreamly warm welcome by Paul and Fidelma.
This site does not have a play ground or shop but that is not what we go camping for. We camped in 2 large family tents with electric hook-up. The showers are lovely and warm (and powerful)and are kept spotless by Fidelma. We never had to wait to use them. There is a room to use where you can sit and relax, do the washing up or use the washing machine. I put a towel wash on one morning and when we returned it had been dried and folded for us.
Elaghvale is a good base to use to visit some fantastic places in all directions. There are shops and take aways within easy reach. Lots of information is kept at the site and Paul and Fidelma are more than happy to help.
Nothing is too much trouble for this couple, Fidelma even offered to get some shopping for us when we arrived. The children were given things to play with as soon as we got there and had great fun flying down the drive on the go-kart. My brother celebrated his 40th birthday whilst we were there and was even given a gift and card.
This is a new site with lots of plans for the future but you could'nt improve the warm welcome given to all.

My family and I visited this fantastic site for a few days while touring the beautiful areas of Derry and Donegal. The views were fantastic, the facilities and welcome were first class. The kitchen area had a fridge which we kept extra food in, big sinks enabled us to wash up large pots etc and the comfy sofa area allowed me to sit on my own, in peace to browse the fantastic tourist information, magazines and books. I used the washing machine and dried the clothes in no time at all. The showers were warm and powerful and recently tiled and painted, the toilets were immaculate and one cubicle had a toilet and shower which was convenient for my elderly mother. The family who run the site ordered a taxi for us and recommended a great restaurant, we had a really lovely time. It only cost us £15 per night - this included everything - no expensive tokens - what a relief!

This was our 3rd visit this time we stayed here for 10 days in june and found the site very peaceful, with good views.
The site itself is mainly gravel with a central grass area for tents, or kids to play.
The amenities were all clean and tidy. There was only one shower cubicle while we were there but they were in the process of fitting another, so there will be a separate ladies and gents. There is also a washing up area and soon to be laundry area. There's electric hookups, drinking water, toilet emptying point, waste water emptying point.
The owner doesn't live on site but a quick phone call and he comes up to you. He was extremely helpful and friendly, wouldn't hesitate to go back.
Its a great site to tour the north west of ireland, derry and donegal.

Elaghvale is indeed a new motorhome site. So new in fact that it isn't even finished and very much a work in progress. Whilst the site is in a lovely rural location with gorgeous views of the surrounding countryside it is let down by the standard of facilities. The one semi-finished toilet consisted of a wash basin, a toilet and shower cubicle ( both together!), a leaking pipe and a gap by the toilet door that you could see right through to the outside, and given the odd choice of clear glass outer door everyone else could watch you too. The washing up room was fine but still a work in progress whilst the camping area itself was basically a large ugly bumpy gravel patch that looked more like a building site
