October 2004 Just spent 4 days at Tencreek near Looe, must say I must congratulate the Staff who always had a cheery smile and as much concern for our enjoyment despite being at the end of the season. The indoor swimming pool, shop and eating and drinking facilities were excellent, even the toilet blocks were up to a good standard! A special mention must be made for the entertainment staff who suceeded in keeping us all amused every night. A couple of observations though, no hard standing for tourers which would have been a bonus considering the weather, and a serious amount of large, and I mean large, caravans mascarading as tourers but obviously there for the season!

July 2004 I thought Tencreek was a very good site with excellent facilities. The shop was small but well stocked with virtually everything you could wish for. The clubhouse was large and had entertainment every night. There is also a small take away cafe with the normal pizzas, burgers etc. At the rear of the clubhouse is a games rooms for older children - pool tables, games machines etc. The indoor pool was excellent, very cleaned with adequate changing facilitles, never tried the outdoor pool though. The shower block is a little old and the water was very hot but didn't stay on for too long so I did have to keep pushing the button. The reception area is spacious and the staff were helpful. Tencreek is a clean site and I would be happy to return to it in the future.

August 2003 Disabled Accessibility: 95%
What a refreshing change!
Toilet & Showers: The newer blocks have good sized toilets and showers. One in the older toilet block is a little more difficult to access as it has a narrow ramp and turning space is not so generous. All were very clean.
Reception Area: Accessed via a short, steep ramp to a walkway which then leads to the shop and main reception. The reception itself has about a 4-5inch lip that is a little rough on the old bones but passable with care. The shop was the only part of the campsite that was not easily accessible as they had placed a large display/dispenser outside the door making it impossible to line up for the doorway.
Entertainment Area: Entertainment is provided in the evening and all areas were easily accessible.
General Site: The site is on a slight hillside and the larger pitches are at the bottom ( where the good views are). However, the pitches are level and the access hills are not too steep.
Summary: This site takes disabled access seriously and if you are looking for a site that has everything then you won't be disappointed at Tencreek.

Sept 2000 I went to Tencreek in September 2000. The toilet block was old but it was kept clean and we found the staff to be very pleasant and helpful. The outdoor pool was shut as it was out of season but the indoor pool looked nice. We never used the clubhouse but I've read somewhere that there was a new one built in 2002 so hopefully that should be nice.
Looe is a lovely place - and the walk from the campsite is quite nice even if in parts there are no curbs. Lots of people were walking so the traffic is automatically slowed down and it's hardly the M1! (Most of the rural areas of Cormwall have no curbs or pavements - that's part of what makes it quaint)
