I came back from Whitewell site yesterday and am already looking forward to our next stay. There have been some good improvements and I think there are plans for new shower blocks in touring area in near future, Brian, Diane and ALL the staff are very helpful and friendly. It is a great site if you have children as there is so much space and in the little bar area there is a Kids Corner which made my 5 & 6 year olds' feel very important.I hope that this site can manage to improve without losing it's friendly, relaxed, un rip off atmosphere and retaining it's space and charm. In Short. Toilets always very clean Lots of tiolet paper girls. Bar - Friendly and uncommercial Shop - stocks thing you might run out of Showers - plenty of hot water, could do with more showers. Problems - dealt with swifty Location - could not be better for exploring this beautiful part of Wales.

We've just spent 2 weeks here. There are 3 fields to choose from but the one furthest from the road has better grass, is more sheltered and is less noisy (although there is a railway line somewhere at the back). Showers and toilets are a little dated but mainly clean. The childrens play area is really only suitable for the very young and the other children hang around the games room. At best this is an average site - it's not overcrowded but the facilities are just adequate. The beaches around here are well worth the journey for though! Try Freshwater East for a sheltered bay and Freshwater West for all your water activities.

We have 4 boys from 9 to 14 and we had a fab time the site brought back memories of how I enjoyed camping in the late seventies with my parents . The beach is a short walk through the lydstep caravan park, but you do have a busy road to cross apart from that its ok Beach itself is shale flat and safe but no dogs so we had to go to kiln park and use their path to south beach which does allow dogs mind you it is a long path over the sand dunes. Anyway getting back to the site the showers were hot clean but the hotwater heater for the sinks was out of a museum and didnt work on the hole like I said before we had a fab time and will use the site again. The boys enjoyed exploring in the woods and playing pool in the games room

Stayed at a friends caravan for a weekend, had a fab time, really well positioned site for seeing this beautiful area of Wales. The site isn't huge, good for those who like it quiet. The bar is small but friendly with a good games room for kids. Short walk to Lydstep beach and short drive from the main beach in Tenby. Didn't experience the facilities for tents and tourers, but I'm sure these are adequate. Overall a good site.

We stayed here for a fri & sat night. We found the owners to be friendly and informative. The site was very clean and tidy, plenty of hot water and clean toilets and showers. It would be nice to have a shower block closer to the tourers and tents.
We found the location to be ideal and enjoyed the walk to the lovely Lydstep beach (great for exploring rock pools & dog walking)and with easy access to Tenby and Saundersfoot.
Having read other reviews it was very disappointing to find that there was considerable noise from the bars area well after the supposed 11pm curfew.

I am a static owner on this site. since the New Owners Brian, Diane and family not forgetting Simon have taken over there has been a vast improvement to the childrens play area which has been renovated and made safe. New signs, new hardstandings for the tourers up the top field which makes a big difference as you know. The clubhouse has been redecorated throughout.A s all camps there is always room for improvement. I see Whitewell as a family holiday, only 5min from the beach. Local bus services, which stop at the front of the resort. Local shop, and a friendly atmosphere.

Having stayed at Whitewell Caravan Park recently, we were delighted to see the many improvements the new owners have made to the site. ie. showers, new laundry room and bar area to name but a few. This site has a very friendly atmosphere and is most welcoming.

I have stayed at this site before as it is in one of my favourite parts of Wales and we revisited it in late September 2005. As mentioned in other reviews there are new owners who were very friendly and helpful saying that they were hoping to make some improvements to the site. The shower facilities are a little dated (only three cubicles) and the water was only just warm enough, but the toilets were very clean all the time we were there. Three fields give plenty of space and we camped in the inner one which is well away from the road and slopes downwards giving beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The two outer fields are closer to the road so there is some traffic noise, but it is a country road and is not too busy all the time.
Opposite the main entrance there is a path through a field which leads directly on to the National Trust coastal path on the cliffs and the views are stunning. A five minute walk down the cliff path takes you on to Lydstep Beach which is a lovely sheltered bay with safe bathing. If you enjoy walking and beautiful scenery this site is ideal, and if you prefer to use the car there are lots of interesting places to visit in Pembrokeshire.
If the new owners use their price increase to update the onsite facilities this site will certainly benefit from it.

A quiet and relaxing site. Three large fields with separate field for dogs. Its plus points are it is very close to the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and Lydstep Beach. New friendly owners very helpful. More showers though needed. Shop sold all necessary items. Club had been newly decorated. Highly recommended.

Myself and friends (no children) stayed here and found the site OK though sometimes the showers had no hot water and the toilet block could have done with a little more attention.
The site is very convenient to the coast and coast paths.
We found excellent food in the Dial Inn in Lamphey but the Lydstep Tavern had an overworked, rude and abusive manager.
