Visited over Easter, the owners seemed very friendly and helpful. A lovely site with a playing field just over the road with goals so take a football. It was situated on top of a hill and on the first night the wind batterd our tent, but its all part of the fun lol! The prices for the shower was £1 for 15minutes, perhaps about steep, but there was plenty of time for 2 people to have one. The site could benefit from a dish washing facility as there wasn't one.
It was an ideal base for Conwy and Llandudno, however road getting up there was a bit narrow and very steep in places
Overall a good site

I agree this was a friendly site in a lovely location. The children loved seeing the hens, ducks and rabbits! No hook ups on the tent field, though this doesn't bother us. Unfortunately there was only one toilet per sex and one shower between everyone. This led to queues sometimes. We counted 10 tents plus maybe 5 or 6 caravans and although there was plenty of space for everyone, it really needed a couple more toilets. Also there was no washing up point or hot water in the toilets.

The first thing that springs to mind is friendly, I felt that the campsite was all that was needed, beautiful location, clean facilities, and ran by the warmest and most friendly people I have had the pleasure to meet. I would say this may be more basic than some of the more pricey campsites but in our mind the best. Thank you for making our holiday great.

Stayed for a few days over Aaster ,plus points, ideal base for Conway and Llandudno. Friendly welcome, quiet campsite. Bad points, one pound for shower, no hot water/washing up point, exposed to the elements. In all if you want basic camping close to nearby attractions, then this site fits the bill

When coming to this site it is best to use the A55 J 20, the lanes are wider, I had no problem coming through the gate and out with the caravan. The site is great and the owners are as well, I would use this again. Lovely walks and found a local pub, local spar shop down the road, did not use the toilets as we used our own.

Approaching the site from Mochdre, was rather hilly and twisty but not too difficult.
There are TWO Tan y Bryn Farms and the correct one is the second. I was warned by Karen of this but still managed to fall into the trap and had to reverse my caravan out!
The site is beautiful with marvellous views of the Little Orme and Ros Bay. It is 3 miles to the shore and it is a stony beach. It is a family friendly site with a playground across the road. The caravan site is almost level but part of the camping field is on a moderate slope. Electric hookups are available.
It is very convenient to have the B&B available, but due to an unfortunate accident, we were not able to use it during our stay.
It was our first visit to a Camping Club Hideaway site and we were impressed. We hope to use this site again in 2009.

Very helpful owner helped us when we got lost, lovely people!
Told us when we arrived no noise after 10pm, so quite strict but we had no complaints haha they pretty much left us to it.(4 girls went)
Got 2toilets, no lighting though to help you get there which is a giggle!
Next to sheep maternity ward which was also a giggle but could be quite loud,
5minute drive away from shops etc
Overall a good experience! x

Stayed here for a long weekend. Not too far away from the main shops etc 10 min car ride, about £5-£7 taxi ride to nearest retail park including Cineworld a 12 screen cinema. Agree with others, the owners are really helpful, friendly & welcoming, we had some car trouble and they even offered to pick up some shopping for us, if that isn't service I don't know what is.
Shower £1 for 15mins but plenty of time to split between two people, toilets clean, no dish washing point though, so I'm not sure how the tent campers get on? Road access bit daunting, being narrow & hilly. Entrance now fine, as it has been widened. All in all a good site, and great views, Would go again.

Just got back from a very wet and windy week!
David and Karen are the most wonderful people you could ever meet, nothing was too much trouble.
With all the rain they had on the previous week the ground was very soft and I unfortunately got my caravan stuck. Out came David without prompting with his trusty red tractor and placed my caravan on site.
The caravan site is very basic but the panoramic views compensated for this.
There is only one toilet for each gender and one shower (£1 in slot for 15 mins)while it did not cause a problem for us, because we and another unit were the only ones on site, I can imagine queues in the height of the season.
We found the approach from the A55 a bit daunting to start with.
A steep climb with winding roads just wide enough for the car and caravan
There are two ways to the site and I definitely suggest leaving at junction 20, otherwise I can imagine it would be a nightmare.
If in the future we decide to visit this wonderful area again we would definitely consider this site again.

Have just returned from a weekend here. Very well placed for Llandudno, Conwy, Rhos on Sea and pretty much anywhere in North Wales as right by A55 but not too close that the noise was an issue. Nearest shop in Mochdre - just a spar, for bigger supermarkets need to go towards Llandudno but its not that far. Family site and quiet - with lots of room for the kids to play. There is a park over the road aswell.
We had read all the reviews prior to going so were aware that the facilities were very basic and that the shower would cost £1. Having said that we thought that the site was overpriced for the basic facilities. There were lovely views and the people that owned the site were really pleasant and helpful. I would stay there again but there is no washing up area and no hot water to wash up with unless you boil a kettle and it was difficult trying to sort out the relay of the shower water amongst the kids and getting them clean and dried in the required time. A word to the wise don't think because you switch off the shower during the 15 minutes that it will stop the timer. I found out to my detriment with a head full of shampoo. If you go and stay at this site take it for what it is - beautiful scenery but very basic facilities.
