I could have stayed here forever !
This site is beautiful. It is so peaceful, with a fabulous view down to Penrhyn Bay. The facilities, washing up area, a ladies and a gents toilet, wet room style shower ( £1 a go, but lovely to use, warm and a very generous timer, I didn't once run out of water ) are all kept spotlessly clean and so prettily presented.
It's amazing to be in such a peaceful, picturesque spot, yet to have all any manner of shops etc. So easily accessible. Venue Cymru is just 4 miles away,a 10 minute drive.
As if all that's not enough, then there are Karen and David who are just the kindest, nicest hosts you could ever hope to meet. They were so welcoming, friendly and interesting and each time I got into trouble ( yes, how embarrassing, not just the once ! ) there they were, present day knights in shining armour, getting me out of trouble and making nothing of their extreme kindness.
I has a wonderful stay at Tan-y-Bryn Farm and will be back in the blink of an eye given the slightest chance.
It is important to check from Karen or David that you have the correct directions to reach them as one way is very steep and winding, and it is vital that the Tan-y-Bryn duck and hen eggs are tried, as they are delicious.

What a fabulous place! Decided to go here last minute to try out our new tent as close to home just in case! David and his wife are such wonderful people.I'd love them as my neighbours. And this exudes into the campsite and facilities they provide. It's been lovingly restored and cared for as has been in Davids family for many, many years.
The views are also fantastic with the sun on you all day! From the Great Orme round to the sea and Penrhynside. My little girl loved the sheep, geese and chickens although the cockrel was one loud alarm call with no off switch! But to be fair, it just made you feel you were a million miles away from the hustle and bustle of every day life.
The second field is slopped but for the views you get it's so worth it and it's fine in our weekend tent and we had rolly poly races! We will definitely be going back there.

This is a small campsite but the washing/showering/toilet facilities, although limited, were spotless. The owners, who were very friendly and helpful, have also thoughtfully provided a fridge/freezer for use by campers, which came in very handy. There's no electric hookup for tents.
There are two fields, one is pretty flat and the other has quite a slope but there are still relatively flat pitches around the outside. The wind was a bit of a problem for some of the larger tents we saw, but if you're careful to secure all your guy ropes it should be fine.
The view truly is lovely - on a cloudless July night we were sitting outside looking at the Great Orme and the sea, until gone 10. 30 with no problem. There was some loud chat until the early hours from a group of middle-aged people who should have known better (the kids were much better behaved!), but for a quick weekend getaway the site and the area were excellent.
The play area isn't much to speak of but given a big field and a frisbee it doesn't take much for our kids to have fun so they didn't miss out on a lot.

Awesome! My wife and I really liked this site. The owner David and his wife were very friendly and helpful. The facilities were good especially use of the the fridge / freezer.
We stayed 2 nights and had the field to ourselves for the first night and shared it with a tent and small touring caravan the second.
The views are amazing, and we had at least one really good sunset.
Would definitely stay here again.

I stayed here with my husband and 7 year old son. We will be coming back!
The place is very friendly and peaceful. There were 5 caravans and 10 tents here when we stayed but it is not cramped and there were no queues for the toilets, washing up sinks or showers. Everything was spotless.
My son loved the animals and the couple who run the place. The park just round the corner was very handy and everything you could need seems to be within a short 10 minute drive away.

Lovely small and friendly site. Clean and adequate facilities, shower room really nice and kept clean. Our two small children loved watching the tractor and seeing the animals. We saw lots of sheep, a pet bunny and chickens. There is no park on site but there is one immediately opposite the site which would have been fine if we'd needed it. The site has plenty of space for the children to play freely and units were certainly not crammed together like some sites we've been on.
Views overlooking the bay are lovely especially early evening when the sun is setting. Its a great location, only a short drive to Llandudno and plenty of things to do and see in the area.
Overall, a lovely relaxed and clean site with friendly owners. Definitely intend returning.

We loved this site, and will definitely be coming back. We were one of only 3 tents on site, so had the choice of pitches, which I suspect helped us to avoid somewhat sloping ground. It didn't cause us any problems. Facilities are basic but adequate, and the newly installed dishwashing facilities and fridge were great.
Also great were the view over the bay, both to wake up to, and all lit up at night to lull us to sleep. If you like peace and quiet I can't imagine it any better than this.
The loos were prettily done, and the whole place has a homely feeling, as the owners are friendly, funny and really integrate you into their small working farm. I'm sure if I'd asked for a tractor ride I could have had one!
We were woken by the sheep when they got excited about their early morning feed.
If you want an on site shop, restaurant and pool you need to go somewhere else, and leave this site for those of us who love something simple, cosy and genuine.

This is a delightful site with stunning views of the area. The site is rather basic but adequate if you have your own facilities. There is electricity hookup. The positives are:- the friendly site owners; the location; the site fees; the superb views. There is easy access to Llandudno, Colwyn Bay, Rhos and Conway. The negatives: the site is on a slope and for a motorhome you will need adequate chocs. There is no hot water or washing up facilities but 2 toilets are available. The shower is £1.00 for 15 minutes. If you visit with a caravan I suggest you only use junction 20 from the A55 as the other routes are very steep and narrow. Even junction 20 access is fairly narrow. However, once you get to the site it feels like being miles away from anywhere and is quiet and tranquil.
There is an excellent restaurant called the Queens Head about 1 mile away, a bit expensive but superb food. (Leave the site turn right, first right and follow the road) NB it goes down a 1 in 4 !
I would definitely stay again. If you want a busy full facility site then this is not for you.
If you want simple, peace and quiet and not overpriced then this IS for you !

This is a brilliant campsite. The views are wonderful from the camping fields, you can clearly see Great Orme. The owners of the campsite are very nice people. They keep the site very clean & tidy. They have a few electric hook ups and then 3 large fields for tents.
The facilities are basic, ie only 2 loos & one shower but they are kept spotlessly clean & are well stocked. There was always a fresh hand towel in the ladies & plenty of loo roll. The shower room is large. We all fit in there and we are a family of 4, we even took the push chair in there too because our youngest is only 6 months. The shower is £1 but this gets you 15 mins so we all managed to shower in this time no problem.
The camping field is on quite a slope, so the advise I would give is try to camp in the first field for tents as this one didn't look as bad (we would do this next time).
Despite the busy time of year the site wasn't over crowded. Theyve plenty of space & so probably temptation to take more people, but the owners wont do it because of the limited facilities. They keep it to a comfortable number.
There was no noise while we were there. There were even single sex groups, but the owners are very strict & keep it under control. This was one of the biggest pluses for us as a family with two very young children.
Nearby there are supermarkets a short drive away. We had a day trip to Conwy castle and conwy town. We went crabbing in the harbour at Conwy, you can buy all the gear you need from the nearby shops. We also went up Great Orme & into Llandudno, only 15 mins drive away.
We really enjoyed our visit. Its a working farm & so has animals that the children can hear & see all the time. Our 4 year old loved it. She loved the space she had to play & being able to go off & see the chickens.
Lovely site - would highly recommend. We will certainly be returning.

Wonderful!
This website set a high expectation, which was exceeded as soon as I met David. Smashing bloke.
We had a lovely evening here, excellent views over to Llandudno and nice long walks to tire the dogs out. If you've got kids with you and they have had enough of the animals there is a small playground just opposite the site where you can go and tire them out some more.
As others have said, make sure you use the better of the two routes in. We didn't and it was quite tricky trying to get the truck round in one piece.
