July 2005 Have just returned from Heathlands and we'll definetly be going back. If you have kiddies this is the site for you. Reasonably quiet but with 3 heated swimming pools and a big play area in the middle of the site for children to play safely.
The toilets were clean(ish) with that volume of children they do get a bit messy and they could do with more regular cleaning.
The beach is white sand and 5 minutes walk but down steep steps.

April 2005 First visit/tryout in our new Pennine Pathfinder. We wanted a mid range site with plenty of things for our 4yr old grandson to do. This site was brill. Friendly, clean, well organised and walking distance to the beach. Great BBQ area in the camping field and excellent sand pit play area for the kids. The weather was not warm enough for us to try the swimming pools but other did. Toilet bloack were very good and cleaned fequently. The showers blow you away. All in all very enjoyable and we will be going back

August 2004 A clean well looked after campsite hosting three clean swimming pools for the girls and a well stocked fishing lake for the lads!. There are two shower/toilet blocks on the main site and another block by the pools which were kept in good condition. A large play area for ball sports away from caravans and tents and a sandy play area in the middle of the camp site. Large spacious pitches each having electric hook-up,t.v arial and water with a three minute walk to the beach, what more could you ask for? Well worth a visit

July 2004 A very well organised campsite. Good pitch sizes, separated with low fencing or hedges. Toilets & showers regularly cleaned. Beautifully clean, heated swimming pools, with a mini pool for the little ones, main pool and a flume with plunge pool for those over 4 foot. Huge sand pit/play area in the centre of the campsite, which kept our kids occupied for hours! A lovely site, well worth a return visit.

April 2004 Have visited this site several times in the past, it always was a good site. Improvements have made it even better. Showers/toilets are always clean, and the park in general has a looked after feel about it. I will certainly be returning.

july 2003 Really lovely site. Could not find fault with anything. Toilets and showers immaculate. We had a lovely meal on site on the Saturday. All staff were friendly and helpful. Pitches were a reasonable size and were divided up with low hedging. The children enjoyed the pools and the slide was supervised. Will visit again.
