August 2005 We went for a weekend, very nice site and the new blocks they have showers food prep, washing up are a credit to them, they have cameras on the site as well- we got a pitch by the river which was very nice, this is a first class, there is also an adventure playground for the kids, we loved it and booked for later in the year

August 2005 An excellent site, all new facilities, new building this year with a laundry room (plenty of washers and driers),also a library and a computer with free internet. Family shower room. Above is the new wardens accomodation. Spacious pitches all marked out and nice and flat. Nice to see a site that is environmentally friendly and the new toilet shower block certainly is along with the recycle bins. Even has a campers kitchen for food preperation a microwave, fridge, kettle and very spacious.

August 2005 Fantastic site. Good sized pitches on level ground. Book early as gets really busy. Children loved the play area and I really appreciated the luxury toilet block (even has piped music). Not much entertainment on site but only a short walk to village where there are 3 pubs.

July 2005 Recommended by a friend, this site turned out to be a real gem. The facilities are top notch and modern with exceptional shower and toilet blocks. If you don't take your own food and drink, a short walk into the village of High Bentham offers 3 pubs, various takeaways and a number of shops that should cater for most needs. We will certainly be returning again soon and would have no reservations in recomending this site to friends.

July 2004 Excellent, great for all ages of kids. This site is a credit to the owner after redevelopment. It`s not over commercial or noisy.

June 2004 The new toilet block is now open - Wow! it's real state-of-the-art. Every credit to the owners it must have cost a bomb. They have also installed all new electric points to every pitch, which for those of you who need it also has a TV point including 10x channels for £1/night. They have put loads more drainage in (not that it was ever boggy) and have laid new tarmac roads and parking bays for motorhomes. There is even an area for those campers who don't need electric. This is a quality campsite for tents, caravans and motorhomes in a superb location for a holiday or weekend break, 1/2 hour from Lakes, seaside at Morecambe, as much walking & cycling as you could ever want - we love it!

1st and 2nd May 04 We went to this site on the receommendation of family and we were not dissappointed. It is as an earlier guest said a real suntrap and the childrens play area is excellent. However, for those not travelling with children I would advise requesting a pitch away from the playground and clubhouse as it is noisy. We would definitley go back to this site when the new toilet/shower block is opened.

End of June 2003 Nice site on the banks of a river, but think it would be a good idea to book early and ask for a riverside pitch. No bar on site but a short walk into Bentham which has about three pubs. Toilets for women have separate little cubicles with locks with a mirror and sink which I thought was a good idea. Showers take a 20 pence piece and mine was excellent. Bit of a hike from where we were to the toilet block but a new one is in the process of being built. Good site, I would go again.

June 2003 Our second visit to this site, which is improving all the time.Kids thoroughly enjoyed the park, games room and river, in which they have paddled, caught fish and put the dinghy on.New reception and games room building, which is very nice, and they are currently constructing a fancy new toilet block. (Existing one is dated but clean and useable). No shop but a milk man comes round in a van every morning and also sells papers etc. We also had an ice cream van every evening - very nice!Good shops and pubs in the village which is only a short walk. Very friendly owners, most helpful. Will be going again.
