I would endorse what other reviewers have said. Excellent site with usual CC facilities. Fairly open, but the wind helps blow the midgies away! Well positioned for exploring the area. Take a trip up Aonach Mor on the cable car, drive further west via the adjacent Corran ferry, pop down to Oban. Plenty to see and do. Large Morrisons supermarket in Fort William and plenty smaller shops too.

This was our first trip up to the highlands, and I have to say, we were blown away by the wonderful scenery. Absolutely stunning. As for Bunree campsite, brilliant. The location is wonderful, peace and quite, (apart from the odd Tornado, F16 , Hurcules planes zooming up the Loch, but that is really great to see also. We found the campsite staff very helpful and friendly, More than what we could say about the natives, (might have something to do with the world cup being on that week and them not being invited :O)?? The sites facilities were 1st class well worth the 5 stars. We will be back soon.

My partner and I visited this stunning site in half term.On arrival it was blowing a force 9 or maybe even 10 but that did not deter us from putting up our awning along the back row. The site is located right on the edge of Loch Linnhe and is lovely. The site shop was well equipped with steel awning pegs that are a must! Also a tie down strap was needed due to the very blustery weather. The facilities were up to caravan club standards as usual - even though the site was about to close for the winter. We had a lovely break and enjoyed the local hospitality. The Loch leven hotel by the bridge is ideal for local food and the staff were incredibly friendly.

July 2004 This is a beautiful site situated on the shores of Loch Linnhe. If you like spectacular scenery then this is it. The drive up through Glencoe with its breathtaking mountain scenery was awesome. The site is down a small road which opens up to reveal the massive loch and moutains behind. The wardens were extremely helpful, small shop that sells the usual stuff, milk papers and MIDGE REPELLENT.
There are around 20 pitches that butt up to the lake side, if you aren't bothered about erecting an awning then you can use these (some by-law that prevents awnings on lake-side pitches). The others although are just as nice which face towards the loch. The shower blocks are some of the nicest I've seen, plenty of showers and privacy cubicles. There is a small climbing/play area for the kids. The loch has trout in so if you fish then take your rod and line.
The main shopping area is Fort William abiout 8 miles away, supermarkets etc etc. Ben Nevis is a 15 min drive. The beauty of it for me was sat at the side of the loch taking in the scenery, every so often RAF and USAF jets would scream in across the loch, I swear I could see the pilots faces they were that low. This is definately on my "To visit again" list Highly recommended.
