What a fantastic site and very helpful reception.
We camped here with our 6 mth old daughter and the parent and baby room was fantastic. It even had a baby bath!
The showers and toilet facilities were really clean at all times and it seemed that everybody understood to mop out the showers after use to ensure that the next person got into a clean shower.
The laundry facilities were also very good with it costing £2 for a washer and 50p for 20mins in the tumble dryer. The only down side was that there wasn't a separate spinner for any hand washing that you may do. The drying facilities were 2 rotary clothes lines which was also good because it allows you to save money and energy in the nice weather.
It seemed the playground areas were well liked by the older children.
The site shop sold basic 'camping' equipment such as tent pegs etc and basic food (tinned products) and icecreams etc.
The cafe is open 8am - 11am then from 5pm - 8pm. The chip shop is open from 5 - 8 also.
There is a pub that sells carveries for just under £4 immediately off the site (there is a gate from the site to the carpark of the pub). We didn't go, but generally people said it is was OK.
There were plenty of amenity blocks and the longest I had to wait for a shower in the morning was about 5 mins.
The site is ideally located for the east coast resorts of Whitby, Bridlington etc.

We were expecting a lot from this site, it being £30 a night over half-term. We were slightly disappointed although it's difficult to pinpoint why. We were located near the entrance which backs on to the main road, so had we been in a tent, it would have been quite noisy. The play parks for such a big site were poor and the kids didn't bother with them. There are a number of shower blocks but with only 2 showers in each (2 ladies and 2 Men's) I ended up queueing every morning and the site was nowhere near full. The shop was poor for such a big site and on some evenings it didn't even stay open as per the advertised times. It is a long walk into Scarborough if you have little ones, although it is possible.
Trying to be more positive, it was quite quiet and I think the noise rules are enforced well. The pitches are quite big, but we noticed that the camping field is quite sloping which can be annoying. The booking in is very efficient and quick. Friendly staff, although a bit 'jobs worth' on occasions.
On balance, we would probably return as we like Scarborough. As I said, can't really put our finger on what was wrong - but we expected much more for our £30 a night!

We booked this site last minute and were over the moon with it, although a bit pricey. We asked for a level perimeter pitch and we got one with a view to Scarborough castle, the staff were extremely friendly, giving lots of information about the area. The pitch was well maintained and clearly marked out, although not the biggest pitches I have seen. There are lots of toilet / shower blocks, which are immaculately clean, but a bit cold !
There are 2 children's play areas with swings and a climbing frame / rope bridge, and lots of space for ball games. There is also a games room with table football and table tennis.
Reception doubles up as a shop selling the basics.
They are just testing wifi at this site, so if you are planning on using your laptop, I suggest mentioning it on check in, as it only covers a small area of the campsite (for now anyway).
There is a pub/restaurant just next to the site which we didn't use, but were told was lovely. There is also a fish and chip shop on site, open some days (delicious).
All in all we love this site and would return low season, as it looks like it could be a bit crammed in, during the holidays.

Just got back from 2 days stay, cannot give one negative point on any thing--
A/security barriers on entrance/exit
B/site very clean facilities spot on
C/very spacious
D/on a bus route (not a good one, but its there, but if there is 2 of you it's £3 and a taxi is only £5)
E/local pub is reasonable for drink and food ,
Overall its well worth a visit and so is Scarborough even though it may have lost a little bit of its sparkle that it had in the 70/80s, but saying that I will be going back had a brill 2 days.

We visited as a large family group 2 tent units and 2 caravan units. We arrived and were shown to an area of the site where the 4 units could be located together. We were a little upset that the staff insisted that the caravans were pitched in the same direction, thus meaning that the 2 awnings could not be adjacent. We were informed that although we satisfied the clubs 5 metre between units rule this was not good enough for the site staff.
This is the second time we have camped here and have to say that the location is great. You can walk into Scarborough in about 20 minutes or drive in 5 minutes. There is a local Tesco mini market within 10 minutes walk and a pub offering a carvery for £3.50 a head next to the site. I would recommend asking for a pitch at the bottom of the site as some units near the entrance are subject to noise from the main road between Scarborough and Whitby.
The toilets were clean and you could always get a hot shower. The site also has a games room with 2 table tennis tables which are handy if the weather is not so good

Nice large site with plenty of room. We had a nice pitch up the hill from the playground as we had two kids with us. The playground is pretty basic for such a large site so there’s my negative and I do think they could consider improving that.
The highlight is the sites location with a lovely hill top walk (about 15 mins) to the beach and centre of Scarborough where we spent the day when we had reasonable weather. We also visited the Sealife Centre on the way back to the site which the kids loved.
There were plenty of toilet facilities and we were lucky with the pitch we were on that we were pretty close but far enough away to the wash up sinks etc although the site has plenty. Always clean and looks well kept.
We only stayed for a short visit so didn’t take in too much to be fair so cannot give many positives or negatives but we do plan to return. Wasn’t keen on the lady who checked us in, a bit snappy but I think she was under pressure, maybe we would get a better reception next time. We did enjoy our stay and will definitely return.

What a fantastic site! On arrival the staff are very friendly and welcoming. A marshall takes you to your pitch and helps you with any local information you require. The bus timetable is also printed on the back of your receipt when you pay - that's a brilliant idea! The site itself is spacious with plenty of room between units. The facilities were very clean - and I am picky! There are also lots of different blocks so you are never very far away from washing facilities. Other extras included games room, launderette complete with outside washing lines which I think was a nice touch. There is a pub next door to the site but unless you like carvery its not very good - carvery is all they serve! Found a lovely pub just down the road which was brilliant for meals - the Ivanhoe. We enjoyed this site so much we actually joined the caravan and camping club whilst we were there. The site also gave us some money back as we were now members. This is a club site but they are very welcoming to non members as we found out. We will definitely be going back to this site.

We stayed a week on this site starting Good Friday. Despite 5 or 6 units waiting to be booked in, we were dealt with by the friendly staff and showed to our pitch within 10 minutes. The site was fully booked for the bank holiday weekend but was never noisy and we never had a wait for the showers / toilets.
Scarborough is a pleasant walk, it takes about 10 -15 minutes to get to the marine life centre from the site. We walked around marine drive to the south bay and back through town which is a fair old trek. You can cut this down by catching a bus.
There is a pub just before the marine life centre which is 'dog and sprog friendly' where we took cover from the rain. There is also a pub next door to the site which was doing a carvery every day for £3.50, didn't try the food but judging by the amount of custom it must have been at least ok.
The site was well kept, well run and although one of the more expensive club sites we would recommend this one.

Although the site was full being Easter, it was very quiet in the evenings. The staff were very cheerful and helpful especially when parking up. We never had to wait for a shower as if one shower block was full another was always available. Did not try the fish and chips but they smelt delicious.
We had a very pleasant walk directly from the site along the cliff tops into Scarbotough. An ideal site for families or couples, whether you are looking for typical seaside amusements or just walking in beautiful countryside.

My husband had been a regular camper in his younger days but it was something I never considered I would enjoy. However we did spend a very wet weekend at this site and had a great time! The site was spacious and the dog walk very useful. The staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. The shower/toilet block were very clean even with the constant downfall. Showers were hot and the hairdryer extremely welcome from me. We had fish and chips one evening from the cafe on site which we found very enjoyable. Our stay at this site has definitely given me the camping bug so much so that we are booked for 3 camping trips this year (this time with electric hook-up as I do like my home comforts) one of them back to this wonderful site! This year we hope to visit the pub which is a short walk from the site and to take the cliff walk to the beach which is great for our dog.
