Stayed for a long weekend and a visit to the Clitheroe food festival. Site is basic with EHU, loo, showers etc. Beautiful view of Pendle Hill, and a nice quiet site.
Owners are very friendly. The sheep were a bit noisy but that was because they had taken away their lambs that day.
Nice place overall, ate at the Ribchester Arms about 10 miles away & had fabulous food at a reasonable price.
All in all a very nice and relaxing weekend.

Nice little site with good hardstand pitches, well spaced out.
Toilet facility is basic but functional, shower was good, although the outside door lock kept jamming, meaning we had to keep looking for the owners both mornings to open them with a key, inconvenient but not the end of the world.
The owners were very friendly and helpful. Site was quiet apart from working farm noises which you have to expect and accept.
Views of Pendle Hill were good.
We had a walk to the nearest village but could not find any footpaths so used the road which was a bit hazardous nearest the village.
Overall a nice place that I would be happy to return to.

This was the second time we have visited this site.
The reason we decided to return was it, s location, with great views of Pendle hill and close to lovely Wddington and also good value for money.
Unfortunately our second visit turned out to be a bit of a nightmare ! We were informed when booking that the owner was away that particular weekend but we had booked a pitch we had preferred and was assured that everything would be ok.
On arrival the pitch we had booked was occupied and the site seemed full. We called down to the farm house attached to the site to try to resolve the situation. Unfortunately the person left in charge struggled to resolve our predicament, to me it looked like they had over booked ( the weather was v good that week and possibly people had decided to stay on longer than planned ?? )
This left us with the dilemma of finding another site by chance on a Saturday at 4pm or going home very disappointed. All in all a very stressful situation. ( still waiting for an apology )

Nice farm location with lovely views. Very easy going (we had booked but struggled to find a pitch without obstructing others). Stayed two nights and never saw the owners accept to knock on their door to pay. No signs/ rules/ instructions.
Basic site and at £10 per night that is fair enough. Shower up and running and although £1 per shower this was very clean and lasted much longer than I needed. Toilet basic and did not always have loo roll. No hot water for washing up and the area round the dish washing sink was so muddy it was difficult to use. A couple of flag stones would help a lot.
The site was full so there was no room for children to play.
All in all a cheap and cheerful site with a price to match the facilities. Definitely more suited to campervan/caravan than tent. Would probably be nice outside of school holidays/weekends.

We booked into this campsite well in advance, explaining that we had a large six-person tent. We were rather dismayed on arrival, to discover that the site seemed to be full. Tents were placed higgledy-piggledy on the grass in an attempt to find level ground and remain in family groups. Although we had travelled for five hours to get there, we contemplated leaving until we realised that there was an area close to the farmhouse which would just accommodate our tent. This was a rather anxiety-ridden start to our holiday!
However, the view over Pendle Hill and surrounding countryside from our tent doorway was very beautiful, and once the Bank Holiday weekend was over, the site was not so crowded.
By the time we arrived, the shower was in operation, costing £1 a session, but providing a steady temperature and plenty of time for a good shower. Nearby Waddington offers pubs and food aplenty, and can be reached through the fields from the farm. Clitheroe has a couple of good supermarkets, and is just 15 minutes or so away by car.
I don’t know if we were unlucky with the week we chose, but although I would happily recommend this site to anyone who enjoys basic camping in beautiful surroundings, we found the noise from other campers very intrusive. It seems to be an increasingly popular site - a Happy Campers rally was about to take place as we left - but perhaps not the place to camp if you value peace and quiet above all. Owners of XL tents could find it difficult to locate a level area of grass big enough to pitch on.

A beautiful location with views across Pendle Hill. Sheep and lambs in field across from us. A joy to watch.
Laidback approach on arrival a note on notice board stating which pitch we had booked onto. We pulled up hooked up the electrics and put up awning for a three night stay and unpacked our 4 bikes. Kids loved the grassy area out front to play ball games, plenty of room, as not to disturb other campers.
Later we looked round for toilets and showers filled up water etc. Later in the day before bed and the kids in need of a shower we discovered that the showers were locked and weren’t in use another camper told us they were due to be ready after Easter!
Not too pleased as the 'Camping and Caravan Big book' and 'C&CC online Site Finder' both state that this site had showers, we would have not booked this site if we had known about the lack of showers. Our caravan does not have a shower unit and due to personal reasons we only book sites with showers and toilets.
The following day we booked onto Clitheroe Camping and Caravan Club site. We felt that having to relocate wasted a day of our short break. On leaving we knocked on the farmhouse and paid for our night stay. My only other complaint was that the laidback approach was possibly too laidback – it would have been nice for someone to call by the caravan and introduce themselves as a point of contact. I guess that all CS are different at the end of the day but others we have been too have all been very welcoming
However good value at £10 a night and if you are not worried about showers this is a lovely rural site. I noticed that all pitches were booked up so I would recommend booking in advance.

Lovely picturesque site just outside of Waddington, near Clitheroe.
Very basic site, more suited to caravans than tents are there is only 1 toilet and no shower block. Toilet is kept very clean and plenty of bins and recycling facilities.
We pitched up by the fence which was slightly sloping but had a lovely evening, being able to barbeque and watch the sheep.
All in all, the campsite was lovely and to say my parents live very close by I was more than happy to pay £10 for the night.
Would recommend to others who enjoy back to basics camping.

We love this site fab views and waddington gorgeous. Ok toilet bit manky and that's about it.
Good h/s pitches, can be windy as top of hill. The owners are lovely and an amble through fields down to waddington is a lovely walk.
There is a river running through and we chatted to some locals about the upkeep pubs here and nice cafe aslo small shop for a few basics. Loved Clitheroe with castle and super shops to wander about.
