Lovely little site, friendly welcoming owners,
Cracking views over the dale to Pendle hill,
We didn't use the facilities as we use our own,
Plenty of walks locally and to top it all three smashing pubs in the village, what's not to like!

We first stayed here about6 years ago, since then a lot of work has been done to upgrade this peaceful, small site. The welcome we received on arrival was warm and informative. The owner apologised for the inconvenience of the restrictions in place due to COVID-19, none his fault.
Pitches are roomy enough and well spread out. There is a new WC & Shower room, closed but ready for using. The area for tents has been levelled and reseeded. They have certainly been busy during lockdown.
10 minute stroll into Waddington via the field footpath or about the same via road. Fantastic views of Pendle and lots of other walks in the area.

Myself and the Wife really enjoyed the farm setting of the site, there was an easy relaxed atmosphere and we have re-booked for this weekend. Excellent value for money.
Lovely green site, lots of easy walks along the river. The village of waddington is a 5 min drive away and has everything you need.
Forest of Bowland has many leisure possibilities for all ages.

We came here has a party of 3 units with it being a friends 53 Birthday. The hard core standings need some major investment and when you go to the toilet the path is heavily water logged. A taxi into Waddington is £7 or you can walk it in 10 mins via the main road.
The only toilet is appalling no toilet roll and its it not kept clean. If you do not like spiders then this toilet isn't for you it is filthy, cold and the place needs a good clean.
Our friends where woken up at 10am in the morning asking them to be off asap on their last day. All of us said we would never stay here again.
Also it is very badly sign post all of us missed the turning and had a nightmare turning around on very narrow country roads.

Went for a one night getaway to test the new caravan. Recommended this site by a friend for being lovely, cheap and local to us. What a great site - fabulous views over towards Pendle to boot.
It was apparently 'full' when we got there - loads of room for us to pull up and for the kids to run around and play without bothering others. (we didn't need a EHU as just for night).
Owners great, helpful and friendly.
Its a single track road to get there, so take care if towing.
Its probably a marmite kinda place, if you love being out of the way, arent fussed about the highest standards of spotlessness everywhere and want to get away from it all then come here. If you want glamping, hair straighteners and waiting on hand and foot then maybe don't.
Absolute bargain at a tenner for a tiny caravan and a small tent for the kids!

Just returned from a lovely weekend at Gannies Farm.
Set in beautiful surroundings near the village of Waddington. The site is a working farm and the owners are very friendly indeed.
Thankfully it wasn't busy this weekend as there is only one toilet and one shower. The nearest shop is in Clitheroe which is a 10 minute drive away. There are two or three lovely pubs in Waddington
£12 per night plus a £1 per shower
The driveway down could do with some TLC too and the grass could also do with a cut too!
I have marked it 7/10 however I would visit this site again

A nice little site only spoiled by the condition of the loo which is in desperate need of cleaning on a regular basis.
Other than that the campsite is a nice site and within walking distance of the beautiful village of Waddington which has a village post office and shop and more importantly two pubs serving real ale.
The site is good value for money at £12 per night all in.

Guys, this is a gem of a site. The owners are lovely, very helpful and down to earth. The site, whilst not having the best facilities is just wonderful. Great views, quiet at night and not too commercial.
It's also great for kids to roam around. This site is a working farm but truly lovely. You can't go wrong with this and it's well worth spending a few days here. Enjoy the surrounding villages which aren't far away and take in the countryside.
Get yourself to Gannies and experience a proper campsite.

Not really much to say about this one. The site is a 5 pitch site with space for tents on a working sheep farm. For £11 a night, the hard standing pitches have electric hook-up, there is a single toilet in one of the out-buildings next to the farm house, a shower which is located in a wooden shed (don’t let this put you off as it’s clean, warm and well maintained), running water and a chemical disposal point.
Views from the pitches look out towards Clitheroe and its castle and then further on to Pendle Hill. Didn’t see much of the owners during our stay but when we did have a quick chat with Ian, he was friendly and helpful, pointing out the best way to walk back to the village for something to eat.
Don’t tend to book on CL / CS’s as a rule having the children but as this was a child free weekend, the site was handy for after we’d walked up Pendle Hill with the dogs. Would go back again if ever we needed some where to stay in the area.
The only negative comment I have is that the shower costs £1 a time which seems a bit steep. On the other side of the coin, it provides plenty of hot water and seems to run for ages so you don’t have to rush and when you’ve only paid £11 for the pitch and extra couple of quid isn’t going to break the bank.
As a side issue, if you want to eat out, try the Waddington Arms back in the village – excellent food, excellent service and it’s dog friendly. It’s about a mile from the site and you can walk across the fields and through the wood down to the village but if you’re coming back after dark, take a torch and come back along the road.

If you prefer something a bit more rugged to get that 'away from it all' feel, then this is the site for you. We loved it.
Dont mind sharing the loo / shower with a spider or two for the sake of not sharing the site with too many people. All the pitches have a fabulous view. It's in a lovely quite spot, good value for money and relaxed owners who just leave you to it.
A mile or so walk into Waddington to the pubs.
