Stayed at Bramble Hill over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend. It was a last minute booking and I have to admit I was a little concerned what with no website and only a few reviews. My worries though were completely unfounded, what a great little site. We arrived and were placed over in the corner on a very flat and well maintained pitch.
The site itself is located about 4. 5 miles from Glastonbury and just a mile or so from Street on the edge of the small village of Walton. Nothing much in Walton apart from 2 pubs. The Walton Gateway (Formally the Pike and Musket I think) and the Royal Oak. The Walton Gateway being only about 300yds from the site back on the other side of the A39. Real ales and good food it appears to have been recently refurbished and while not a traditional pub both the food and beer was well up to standard.
Plenty of walking opportunities from the site, we walked out to the RSPB Ham Wall Nature Reserve one day and around Butleigh Moor another.
I'm reluctant to say this site is basic as that sounds like a criticism. The standard of the toilets and showers along with the dish washing facilities are 2nd to none and are amongst the cleanest I have ever encountered, there is also a Microwave, oven/grill and fridge available for visitors use.
There seems to be a lot of regular visitors with quite a few permanent pitches evident which in itself is a recommendation. There is no shop of any kind on site which is a shame as there is no shop in Walton either that we could find, so any provisions are a short drive (Or a long Walk) away. Access to the site is via a coded entry system which is fine although the gate is locked at 10:30pm but there is an alternative access for vehicles after this time but it has to be arranged with the owners.
Everything considered this site is definitely on our 'To Visit Again' list. Other than the lack of a shop in the immediate vicinity it's very difficult to fault and is a credit to the owners.

Passing through on our way to street, didn't get to the site till 8. 30pm and called on the off chance that we could get in.
There were no problems with this late arrival, hosts were very helpful and we were told to drive to the field and could choose where we pitched our land rover with roof tent.
The showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained with ample hot water for free showers. The fees are a little pricey at £10 per head but this was a single night on a bank holiday, it may be cheaper for more nights I don't know.
The local pub which was within easy strolling distance was undergoing repairs so cannot comment on what it is like.
A good site, with level fields, good facilities, and pleasant hosts, can't ask for more, we will be returning later this year to do some local geocaches using this site as a base.

The site is basic but functional. We were camping and found the site level and quite flat and very suitable for tents. There was plenty of room for our little ones to play without fear of them venturing too far.
However the farmer owning the field next door was happily shooting rabbits from 5:30am and on and off through out the day. Not only disturbing sleep but also a safety concern to us.
The facilities consisted of a toilet block with basic free showers, although parts of it were not in a great condition, they were always clean.
The site wasn't busy during our visit, but suspect the limited facilities would be over run when the campsite is more than half full.
The surrounding area was good, a nice mixture of countryside to explore, but with a couple of pubs near by and a few restaurants in Street. Clarks village is worth a visit if you're in the mood for shopping, and the outdoor heated lido in Street is a real hit with the kids.
A little further away is Glastonbury, which is well worth a visit. If you visit one of the 'crystal' shops, try not to laugh out loud, they don't appreciate it. Obviously the Abbey and the Tor are the highlights.
Regarding prices, higher than I would have anticipated at £80 for 2 nights for 2 adults, 2 children with one tent.
However, there is a real negative, in my opinion a rather large one. Unfortunately site rules prevent me from make 'personal comments'. However, if you're looking for a smiling face and a friendly welcome, courtesy and helpfulness then try somewhere else.

This is just a basic site with the pub only about 200yds away! There is no steep hills around the site and I've got a camper it would not be a problem at all. Shops are a long walk or very short drive. Short drive to Clark's Village and a bit further to Glastonbury and the Tor. Its not very clearly signposted of the main road but once you find it its easy (200yds off main road from motorway). The toilets were totally spotless and owners were great! A really good, clean basic site.

Have just read the review of the above site, previous to my review. We also stayed in a Motor home, had no problems getting on or off site, coded security barriers. I am disabled and it took a while to walk to and from the pub on sticks but the hill is not that steep. As for facilties the toilets were spotless and the showers and indoor washing up facilities had constant hot water. We had no trouble at all with the electrics and we used T.V etc and site was fairly full. Can`t answer distance to station as didn`t use public transport. Buses were quite frequent on the main road. I would say this site compares favourably with others we`ve stayed at that cost a lot more.

We`ve just spent 4 nights at the above site which is now called Bramble Hill Camping, address and telephone number is the same. Lovely site and friendly owners. Room for 20 tourers and 20 tents. 3 fields, main one with hookups and flat,a smaller one and the orchard seemed to be mainly tents. Clean toilets, showers etc. About a mile from Street itself with shops indoor and outdoor swimming pools etc. Smashing pub within 300 yds on the main road The Pike and Musket. Normal pub fayre at lunchtimes, evening menus items like 25oz T.Bone but something for everyone and a children`s menu. Would certainly recommend site, very quiet, even at the weekend with children of all ages and a few dogs. Will certainly return

Went to this site as it seemed well recommended by previous visitors, it was a nice clean site, but if you have a Motor Home and do not want to move it every day I would not recommend this site. It is a very steep walk uphill to get out of this site and a very long walk to the train station definitely not 10 minutes and this applies also to the two public houses which are supposed to be "near". Also the elctricity kept cutting out on the pitch we had. Its a basic site as previously described with limited facilities for the cost of staying there I would not recommend a long stay.
