Stayed for just one frosty night in April. The site owner was very friendly and helpful, the inclusive showers hot and powerful and the showers and toilets clean and like new.
The site is independent from Farmer Gow's which if we still had small children would be great fun! We would stay again without hesitation.

Warm welcome, relaxed approach which made our family reunion group of around 6 tents and 2 caravans work well.
Space for the kids to run about, and close to farmer gows.
Real bonus is the camp fires and great views.
The new wash facilities were not quite finished, but were clean and functional, and the basic nature of the site is reflected in the price.

Farmer Gow's is a small site situated behind the Activity Farm which can probably take around 20 tents/caravans or tourers. Both the camp site owner and the Activity Farm owner are fantastically friendly and helpful.
There is a hand built toilet and shower block and washing up facilities that are perfectly serviceable, although would be chilly out of season. There is no electricity to the site but you are encouraged to BBQ and use the communal fire pit. (You can take your own wood or buy it from the farm).
No radio's etc allowed but acoustic music and singing are encouraged around the camp fire in the evening!
The rates are very realistically priced at £5 per person regardless of what you intend to camp in and facilities and service are better than at other sites local to this which cost more.
The view is of the White Horse Hill at Uffington and the site is peaceful, set way back from the country lane.
This is a back to nature site with a children's attraction close by. (Discounts available for campers) There is bottle fed lamb feeding and chick handling daily, as well as tractor rides and play areas.
There is a cafe, gift shop and small camping supplies shop and you can buy fresh eggs, meats etc and logs from the farm shop. There are two country pubs within walking distance that offer a varied lunch and dinner menu.
We, however didn't take our kids and enjoyed a peaceful weekend. A site that suits everyone. We intend to become regulars!

I recently stayed at Farmer Gows Campsite with my family. It was a lovely weekend despite the weather.
The facilities were ok however the washing up point could do with a shelter. The toilets were clean and tidy and never seemed to run out of loo roll. I have a 3 year old who loves to go on adventures and at this site I could let him wonder around and still see him wherever he went as the site is lovely and small.
Two downsides to our weekend, one was a hen party staying in the Tipi village they returned from a night out at 3 in the morning and we could hear them from the road where they were dropped off all the way upto the campsite past all the tents and beyond. Normal chatting would not bother me but they were cackling and swearing all the way and had no respect for other campers.
The second was that all the cars for the tipi village were parked in camping pitches instead of in the car park, this meant that people arriving to camp on Saturday were all limited to space available.
All this said I would return for last minute weekend camping trips.
