Liked - the location is brilliant, on the coastal path and a beautiful big safe sandy beach to play on. Coffee shop is good and everyone was helpful in a laid back way.
Disliked - the site is very basic, grass very long, (suspect they put sheep on it at the end of season ) we were lucky it was dry! Toilets and showers are in converted pig sties, showers 50p, lukewarm.
Amazed that with 3 big fields of units there was only 1 tap by a gatepost between fields!
In these Covid times it was left to individuals to be careful - fine by me but I think the toilets could have been cleaned and tidied a little more often!

We have been coming here every August for about 6 years with a few other families and for us it is perfect. The site is on a busy working farm right above Towyn beach, it is very laid back with no excessive rules.
We have never had to book. We pitch where we like in the tent field and find Daloni at some point during our stay to pay. You are made to feel welcome and are never mithered. Location wise, it is stunning, with Snowdonia as a back drop and the beautiful, unspoilt coastline with beaches to rival anything Cornwall has to offer.
As Welsh is spoken by all the locals it really feels like you are somewhere exotic! In good weather there is no need to drive anywhere, the beach is on your doorstep, there are coastal walks and the village of Tudweiliog with a pub and small shop is a 15 minute stroll through the fields.
The bustling town of Nefyn is a 15 minute drive away and has a great little Spar, takeaways, cafes etc. For day trips a short drive away there is the fabulous Tŷ Coch Inn on Porthdinllaen beach, Aberdaron village, Whistling Sands, Hells Mouth for the best surfing, Abersoch for moneyed sailing types, the stunning Welsh Language Centre at Nant Gwrtheyrn - to mention a few.
The campsite facilities are basic but perfectly adequate & clean, 3 toilets in each men’s & women’s, 3 showers, two washing up sinks, a fridge & freezer but don’t rely on them as they get full when busy.
You are allowed open fires as long as you remove the top layer of turf and put stones around the edges, then replace when you leave.
There is a newly built cafe by the beach path which serves lunches, baguettes, jacket spuds, quiches, cakes, ice cream, tea & coffee and also contains Daloni’s side-line of very lovely interior design items, books, bodycare, clothing & accessories - look up ‘Cwt Tatws’. All in all we love it here!

I have been to this campsite twice now and will be going back again. It is ideal for anyone wanting to get away from everything. Yes, the facilities are basic but absolutely adequate. The owners are extremely helpful and very friendly. The location is perfect both for walking and for more relaxed days on the beach, which is a very short walk away. On both occasions I have thoroughly enjoyed my holiday.

The site is over four fields, first two for tourers / hook-ups and two fields for tents. We arrived early on the Saturday, the first two fields were full, the third was full around the edge (approx 15 tents, mostly family size) and about 10 on the fourth field.
There is one block of toilets and showers. 3 toilets for ladies, 3 for gents and 3 showers. With the campsite so full the facilities were far from adequate. There was a large sink in the ladies toilet that lots of men were using for washing the dishes (there wasn't a big sink in the gents).
The water was warm in the showers with good pressure, but after half a days use they were a bit on the grubby side. There was a mop and bucket supplied for wiping out after use, but the mop had seen better days.
The grass in the tent fields hadn't been cut for a while so after a bit of rain it wasn't fun walking around.
There is also a block that had seen better days with a fridge / freezer but we didn't use them so can't comment.
For the location we would probably go back, but it would have to be out of season.

We were a family group of 8 adults, 1 toddler and 2 dogs gathered around a Coleman Event Tent. We were only allowed to camp at this site because we were a family. Unfortunately, we were placed in the lowest part of the field well away from the other campers and it was extremely boggy with lots of cow-pats which were not good for an inquisitive toddler. We knew it was a working farm and had we been in the top of the field it would have been more sheltered (from the constant wind) and less cow pats as they like to gather in the bottom corner of the field where we were told to pitch. The facilities were adequate for our needs as we don't expect much but if you want your creature comforts don't choose this site. Toilets and showers clean with free hot water although it does seem to get more tepid towards late afternoon. Free freezer for ice block and tumble drier - not sure how much this was think it was 50p a load. Not easy to find someone to pay for our stay so we came away without paying but sent it by post later. We paid £14 per tent per night, nothing for the gazebo and nothing for the dogs. Shop and pub within easy walking distance and lots of beautiful coastal walks. The weather was bad during our stay and we ran for home before the severe weather warning came into force. The field gets quite muddy and several cars had trouble negotiating the quagmire at the gate. All things considered we would go back here simply for the location but not if rain is forecast.

Lovely quiet peaceful location and very friendly helpful owners although sometimes difficult to find - but it is a working farm and chores have to be done.
Nearby beach is superb and we were informed by the angling shop in Abersoch that the bass fishing off the rocks here is very good but did not get the chance due to our short visit.
Showers and toilets are basic but clean and functional.
One of the site cats came for a walk with us to the beach and was very agile on the rocks!
The Lion pub was very nice with good food at reasonable prices and can be walked to across the fields (in daylight) in about 10 to 15 minutes.
Would definitely return, maybe for a longer spell to get in a bit of fishing!

I chose this site as part of a holiday touring Wales because I love this remote and unspoilt part of Wales out on the Llyn peninsula. The location of this site is perfect; with Towyn beach literally 2 minutes walk just across the lane. The village of Tudweiliog is about 10 mins walk away, and has a good pub and a village store/post office. We received a warm and friendly welcome upon our arrival from Daloni, and whilst we did not need any extra help or assistance during our stay, we certainly had the impression that our hosts were friend and approachable.
This site is a working farm, with sheep, sheepdogs, and a very cheeky farm cat who knows how to get into tents with ease! There are two very flat fields, one with some EHU provided. A third field is used in the summer, but during our stay it was awaiting hay harvesting.
There was very little shelter (wire fences rather than hedges) so the site is a little exposed and we were glad of having our high specification Vango Nevis when a big rain storm hit: I am not sure that cheaper tents (especially of the supermarket and EBay varieties) would have lasted, but that could be true of any UK location, given our unpredictable climate!
The location is excellent for a truly rural experience; lovely walking country, beautiful natural beaches, and the hills as a gorgeous backdrop to it all. We did not travel from here to visit anywhere as our plan was 100% vegging out, but this site is about 1 hour drive to Caernarfon, Pwllheli is about 45 mins away, and Aberdaron on the tip of the peninsula is about 20 minutes away.
The old pigsty has been converted into the facilities block; with three loos for the ladies, a washing up sink, three loos for the gents and then around the corner there is a set of three unisex showers. The showers were free and hot water was plentiful. The shower cubicles are roomy with seat and hooks, so they are well thought out. The standard of cleanliness was good, and a mop/bucket was available in order to encourage campers to keep it that way. There are washing and drying facilities too (coin operated £4 a time) in a separate portacabin block which also had tourist information on display.
The fee of £11 was very reasonable, though we learned from a regular that in the summer holidays there is an extra charge for an issued waste bag, but whilst we were there we just used the farm bins.
There is no play area, but there is plenty of space to play and with the lovely Towyn beach just over the road, this is a perfect location for anyone wanting a beach based holiday, but without the arcades and funfairs.
We loved the remote rural location, the peace and quiet (apart from the usual rural noises of livestock, tractors, Mother Nature’s creatures and the peacock that roams the site) and we will return again when we next want a relaxed Welsh break to recharge our batteries.

I have been coming to this site since my boy was in nappies, and he's now 28!
The facilities have changed over the years, for the better I have to say.
Daloni is now running the site, which is behind the farm itself.
The shower facilities are good being converted from what was the old pig sty. They are well designed and a mop and bucket always available to make it fresh for the next user. Seats and clothing hooks to ensure you keep everything dry!
There are laundry facilities in a small portacabin on site and reasonable prices. The usual chemical disposal point etc.
The site covers 3 fields in total, with the hook ups in the first field. Book early to avoid disappointment, the site books very quickly on these.
The beach is a quick nip over the road, and down the path. A safe sandy beach with clear water good for diving in.
The village is across two fields walk away, village stores and the Lion Hotel that serves good food, and good beers.
A good family site.
