Just brilliant ! Lovely small friendly site.
Great location, pubs nearby though unfortunately closed on the Monday night we stayed.
Couldn't have wished for more, except a longer stay !

Got told about this site from friends and we will be definitely be coming back,
The owners were lovely people and were really helpful when we decided to stay another night last minute, if you ask you can receive some lovely and delicious eggs that come from the chickens that roam around on the property.
There is a toilet block but is currently closed due to covid. There is a lot of places to drive to (Whitby was only 30 mins away).
The pub over the road was nice and helpful and followed covid procedures, you can book to eat in or take away, we only went for a few drinks and there was plenty of outdoor seating.

We use this campsite regular and love the quiet little village of Normanby, Geoff and Carol are a fabulous couple and are always around to help with anything you need, Geoff evens got me a paper last time as he was going for one and asked everyone if they wanted one. The facilities are basic but kept clean, only thing missing is showers, but we have that in the caravan so no real problem for caravaners. The price is one of the cheapest sites that we use.
One of the great things is The Sun Inn just across the road from the site, its a lovely little village pub with excellent food available all the time, Friday night is Fish Night and you can get a big plate of beautiful fish chips (the chips are proper home made chips) and mushy peas for £5. 95 or if you prefer Scampi. Sunday Lunch is great with big portions of meat and huge bowls of veg, we usually get the small portion but its still to much for us. There are other themed nights so look up their website for details
So all in all a great little place and not too far from Pickering, Hutton Le Hole and Helmsly

A hidden gem! We came across this delightful little site when we were looking for somewhere to stay at the last minute for the Whit bank holiday - what a find. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. We were able to choose where we wanted to pitch our caravan - no regimental rules and regulations! The site has two toilets one of which has a wash hand basin and one with a sink that could be used for dishwashing. There is a nice walk across the fields which is on the left outside the campsite and over the bridge - our dog loved it. The site is well located for Pickering, Kirbymoorside, Malton and Helmsley all are within easy driving distance. Please ignore the bad review at the bottom - the dogs on site are friendly and are kept under control - we hardly saw them. Would definitely recommend this site if you are looking for a quiet, friendly site to unwind on.

This was our first night caravanning for around 17 years. We went to this site on recommendation from my brother in law and sister in law. We stayed just the one night as a test run, to try everything was working.
The site is in a very good location for seeing the local area, Malton, Kirkbymoorside, and Pickering. We have a small dog and love walking, there are plenty of footpaths in the area and it’s possible to walk over the fields to Pickering. On arrival we had a warm welcome from the owners; nothing was too much trouble for them and made us feel very welcome
The site was very well kept and the toilets very clean, a couple of little touches we did like, were the picnic benches on wheels you can pick up and wheel to your caravan and all the pitches had a large rubber mat provided to place by your caravan door cleaning your boots as you walk in, we will definitely be going back shortly.

Stayed at this small site for a couple of nights.
Located just off the main road -but far away for road noise not to be a problem.
Very friendly owners. The site is a flat grassed field with 5 hardstanding areas and electric hook up. There is lots of space between each pitch and some trees and hedges planted around the field. Dogs are welcomed - there is a dog walking area. Children also appeared welcome but there is not a lot to occupy them.
There is a sweet little hut containing 2 toilets and handbasins -one has a sink for dishwashing and a bookcase with a library of books and information leaflets. Outside are planters with flowers just next to the owners house.
The local pub is a short walk away.
Attractions such as Nunnington Hall and Rieveux Terrace are a few miles away. We cycled to Nunnington Hall along mostly quiet lanes.
Would recommend this site - small, peaceful and friendly.

A lovely quiet site with very helpful and friendly owners. We drove a very long way to get here but it was worth it. We had 2 dogs who were able to free range and the owners even provided a special doggy loo, as well as a very comprehensive recycling and composting set up!
The facilities were basic ( no showers)but very clean and pleasant to use.
The site was small and we were able to use hard standing for my Dad's camper van with optional electric hook ups if required.
Plenty to see and do locally and the owners even leant us their map as ours was 40 years out of date!
The local pub (very close and dog friendly) does good food and Tuesday night is pie night which must be tried!
All in all a very good stay and I would return if ever that way again.
