We recently stayed at this delightful campsite for the first time. First impressions were of a very peaceful location. The site has been thoughtfully landscaped and has smooth, grassy pitches set in a charming area of Lincolnshire between Wolds and coast.
There is a fishing lake on site for those who enjoy fishing. Pitches are spacious and whilst other campers were really friendly, we also had ample space and privacy.
The site owner could not have been more friendly and welcoming, providing us with a huge range of leaflets to help us get the most out of this fascinating area. The site is tucked away in such a tranquil area- lovely to cycle the nearby lanes- but is also conveniently near to a pub and to the town of Alford as well as to the coast.
The only reason for giving any score less than a 9 for facilities is because the site is still being thoughtfully developed to Offer more. The cost of staying here was very reasonable.
We felt so relaxed after a weekend here and will certainly return.

Found this little gem browsing the net
Had to sell our touring van owing to health reasons, booked the static van
Not disappointed. Found the van spotlessly clean. Central heated through out. Very comfortable. Owners very friendly. Nothing too much trouble.
Will be booking again for later in the year.

Found this site by accident by just driving to the area without booking and then searching internet and ringing round and this site was able to accommodate us. What a gem!The family that run it are so welcoming and friendly.
We booked on for a week and stayed two, we enjoyed it there that much. Fishing was excellent and was offered loads of tips from owners son. Very helpful. I was catching all day long. Really enjoyed it. Yes, it’s secluded and quiet and off the beaten track, and that’s BRILLIANT!
If your after noise, hustle, shouting children running round, shops and amusements and late night parties then don’t bother going here. Keep going a bit further to Skegvegas.
We’re are so glad we came across this site and will definitely be returning. £10 per night is amazing value. Electric was on a card and we used £14 in the two weeks we were there.

A lovely peaceful quiet (adults only) site. Only £10 per night and £5 for fishing.
The lake though small is well stocked with predominantly Ghost Koi of around 1lb mark, I lost count of how many I caught but did have one of about 4lb and they all fought really well. There are no toilets or showers on site but are planned for early next year.
There is a black waste disposal point and water point. Fresh eggs and some garden produce is available. EHU is available and you only pay for what you use. Michelle, the owner, and her family are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
Our departure was delayed by about half an hour as we merrily chatted like people who had known each other all our lives instead of the two days we stayed. We will definitely visit again.

This site is just a haven for peace and tranquillity with the option of fishing on site too. Fabulous welcome from owner and her family - loved the chickens roaming happily and the runner ducks - always a treat and fresh eggs too!
The view of the wolds is breathtaking and is a convenient site to visit loads of interesting places as well as in easy reach of the coast.
Adults only - this is a must to visit - cant waiting until we can get back again for another visit very soon.

Just got back from a great week at this lovely campsite. Very quite site with a lovely lady running it. 5 night camping on the electric meter only £1.60.
This camp site is well worth a visit and hopefully 2016 the shower and toilet block will be done. Definitely recommended.
Didn't use the fishing lake even though I had my rod as I was out all day and I didn't want to pay £4 for a couple of hrs so the one word of advice, do a £2 evening fishing rate otherwise could not fault the site at all.

We've just come back from 2 fabulous weeks at Cottage-Waters near Skegness. It was our second visit to this lovely little site but definitely not our last.
Michelle, the owner, was very friendly and helpful and the site is so quiet and peaceful. Just right for a relaxing break.
Entertainment is provided by the geese, chickens and Indian Runner ducks but if you are feeling a bit more energetic you can chase the Herons off the fishing lake to stop them stealing the fish!
Thank you Michelle for a lovely holiday.

This site is an absolute gem & such good value too - a real place to relax and enjoy the peace 7 quiet in very pretty surroundings. The owners were incredibly welcolming & nothing was too much trouble.
We had plenty of space & level pitching on well-drained grass - only 5 units allowed in such a large 'paddock' meant that any other caravans are a long way away - yet we did enjoy some evening chats if we or anyone strolled over to & around the fishing lake or when the owner checked on her chickens.
From our caravan window we had a lovely view of the fishing lake & we were encouraged to orientate our caravan whichever way we wished.
It was lovely to have just birdsong during the day and lovely darkness at night - great for stargazing :)
There are a few very happy chickens which mostly stayed near their pens & the eggs were sooo tasty & inexpensive (honesty box at gate)also a few ducks which enjoyed a waddle over to the fishing pond.
There are no toilet/shower facilities. Yet. But judging by the loving care with which the owners are steadily developing the site so far, the new toilet/shower facilities (at the planning stage)will sure to be lovely too when built.
We were very well placed for Skegness, Mablethorpe & all seaside towns between & and as you drive in the countryside, most of the fields are open to the road which meant we could see for miles and the cloud formations are stunning in this area.
We & our 2 little dogs will definitely come back to Cottage Waters and such its very friendly owners when we next holiday in Lincolnshire.

Second time we have visited this site and as expected our hosts were extremely helpful, this is a lovely site, the owners are very nice and friendly, and the electric (16amp) is on a card system, which is good because you only pay for what you use. We stayed three nights and used £1. 40. !: makes you realise how much some sites are 'creaming off the top'.
The lake is well sheltered from the wind, and there is a nice variety of fish, some giving you a nice surprise when they take off, and some really nice looking colours when you get them in, nothing overly massive, but when them barbel get bigger they'll be a handfull!all in all, a very relaxing weekend away. As yet there are no toilets or showers, but we are told these are due to be installed next year.
One last thing, I lost my mobile phone when we went out one day and the owner managed to track it down after we left, it was found by one of the locals and reported, giving us an excuse to go back again this weekend to retrieve it.
Mick & Diane.
