We found this site by luck trawling the internet as friends live nearby. What a lovely site, if a little remote. Only 6 pitches, close enough to be friendly but far enough apart for privacy. Owners very helpful and friendly, even allowing us to take our young son to their farm to watch the cows being milked. This was our first try at electric hookup - no problems there, and with the water and electric both together at the end of our tent made things very easy. The shower and toilet building was clean and tidy and although only one for male and female respectively we had no problems sharing with neighbours. We are experienced campers and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - and will be returning next year!

We thoroughly enjoyed our peaceful break here.
It is quiet but very beautiful with lots of walking to do and lots of footpaths. We also took bikes which we recommend if you enjoy cycling. The owners will gladly give you guidance on areas to visit. They are extremely accommodating.
The site also attracts some lovely, kind, friendly people too! The site is on a working farm and the owners were so sweet and kind, selling us eggs too from there chickens which you can see grazing.
We travelled to a pub called The Fox, near to Newport which was lovely.

Staying on CLs CCs you sometimes come across little gems, and this is one of them.
Stayed 2 nights here, we only meant to stay for one night but nice site so we came back for another night.
Handy for Telford attractions.
Nice level site, a little off the beaten track but at £10 a night inc hook up, well worth it.
Nice clean shower and toilet facilities with heating in a portacabin. One each for ladies & gents.
There is also a good rally field adjacent that they are in the process of putting in a hard track for access.

Lovely site, peaceful and very convenient for Weston Park. Toilets clean and tidy and although only 1 per sex quite adequate.
Site was fairly busy so had to wait a couple of times but not really a problem.
Only point to make was that the outside light, which was on all night, threw the step from the toilet block into deep shade on the way out.
Possibly a solar light on the step by the portable cabin may have resolve this. Overall the sort of site we love.
We are already planning a return trip. Karen was very friendly and helpful.

We wanted a local site to test our new porch, found this one on the CCC website. Very glad we did! The site is a small field at a working farm. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They have approximately 6 pitches, each with electricity and one water tap per two pitches on the same post as the electric points so you don't have far to trek to get your water!
There was no specific arrival or departure time, not sure whether this would be the same if they were busy but when we went there was only one other unit apart from us. We were told that when we arrived we should just pitch our tent and one of the owners would come to see us when they were available (due to farm commitments). Pitches vary a little, some have slight slopes or dips so if you're in a tent you might need to pick the best one - we picked the flattest looking one there and found it was ideal for us. The ground was a little stony in places and whilst most pegs went in easily, we could have done with a few rock pegs - but we managed with the standard steel pegs that came with the tent.
Would have to describe the facilities as basic purely because it's a portakabin which has one toilet and one shower per sex. Can't see this being a problem with it being such a small site though and they were clean and had heating in the form of a fan heater should you need it. No washing up area but we managed by using a bowl on our table and it was lovely to stand outside the tent looking out at the wonderful views whilst washing up! There is a chemical disposal point next to the toilet portakabin.
The farm is in quite a remote area so you are faced with a long walk to the nearest shop or pub (you can go along the country lanes and the busy A5 or you can go through the fields which was very pleasant but not suitable for less mobile people) or you would need to drive. Of course, the benefit of this is that it is very peaceful, other than the occasional farm noises, or even more occasional noise from the neighbouring houses, all you could hear was bird song. Bliss! There is a small nature walk that goes by/over a moat on the farm and they have a tyre swing in this area. It's a gravel path and whilst it didn't take long to walk around it, our 2 year old really enjoyed it. As it was so quiet when we were there, he also had plenty of space to play football without being a nuisance to others!
If you are looking for an all action camping site then this won't be for you. But if you're looking for somewhere to go and relax in beautiful and peaceful surroundings then it most definitely will be! We will definitely go back to this site, although I suspect that due to it's closeness to home, it'll be for last minute one or two night stays.
Finally, it's probably also worth noting that the Bradford Arms on the A5 closes in the afternoons (as we found out after trekking over the fields to get there.) but the Royal Oak in Bishops Wood remained open and served lovely food and has a selection of real ales. Not the cheapest menu, but well worth it - proper homemade chips - delicious!
