Made very welcome on arrival with a hot drink and a cupcake which we had whilst sitting in an open to all patio area overlooking the lovely flower and bird full gardens and the view over the estuary.
There are a lot of bird feeders here and they are refilled daily in order to satisfy the demand from the sparrows and collared doves, strangely enough very little evidence of bird poo on the van or anywhere else for that matter.
The entrance to the site is up an unmade road which is reasonable when dry not sure how good it would be if it had been raining a lot. The pitches are of reasonable size and have a mature hedge between each one giving a garden effect.
The facilities do not live up to the promise of the arrival, the toilets being up a few steps and then over a rickety base to two toilets and showers, to be shared between all the site occupants. Not impressed with the cleaning routine if indeed there was one. There was however a plentiful supply of hot water for a reasonable shower.
Friendly but expensive for what it offers.
If your into nature there is a lovely nature reserve just a few minutes drive away, with more butterflies that I have ever seen at one time plus a pair at least of marsh harriers and numerous other birds.

Had another lovely 5 days at this quiet site. (well mostly quiet if you don't include the thousands of sparrows and other birds who frequent the many bird feeders on site! Sheila must have shares in the bird food industry! Delightful to watch the sparrows enjoying a dust bath in the roadway. )
Just one small improvement could be made if a plastic seat of some kind could be available to use in the shower block for those who are unable to stand for too long. Also worth mentioning is that the toilets and showers are up some rather steep wooden steps and not really suitable for anyone with walking problems.
Explored some places on the Island. Especially loved Harty Church and the amazing Criterion museum / picture house in Blue Town. Definitely worth a another visit when the BBC aren't filming there!

Access to the site is unique, but do not be put off, not for the faint hearted. As soon as you see the location of the site, the colourful and well maintained garden - all is forgiven. Then to be offered a cup of coffee or tea, with a cup cake, well, we did not want to leave. Joined by family in their motorhome, Steve could not have been more accommodating in allowing us to pitch adjacently. Services were good and being developed further, lots of lovely hot water. Touring the island, we had a lovely 6 days walking and seeing the sights as well as Chatham dockyard, additional information provided by Steve. Full action packed week. Superb sunsets over the Medway.
Lovely location, quiet and very restful.

Found the site easily using the satnav. Was made a lovely cup of tea with a cupcake on arrival and was given a nice little tour of the site. We found it quite a small site but with plenty packed in! Lovely shower and toilet block. Very clean. Great communal hut with basic cooking facilities and an outdoor pizza oven. Didn't see much of the local area but some good dog walking trails and good views of the estuary. Morrisons was only a 10 minute walk down the road. We're very new to motorhomes but the owners were very helpful and were able to draw on their years of experience to help us out. Overall a lovely little site to stay on and a great visit if you're new to travelling in a motorhome. I would definitely stay again.

Visited friends today, normally this site is good but our opinions were changed today by comments from a grumpy guy. My son is autistic & he needs to learn children need to be children. Our friends are considering no longer visiting again because of this & other issues.

We have just arrived back home after a 4 nights break at Leobay and had to write to say what a lovely site it is. We were offered a cup of tea or coffee on arrival and Sheila and Steve could not have been more welcoming.
The facilities are clean and homely, the gardens and flowers are beautiful and bright, and the woodburner fire in the Summer kitchen/lounge would be most welcome in cold weather.
There are walks along the river and many local places to visit and the shops are in close proximity.
We hope to return again soon for a longer visit.
Thank you for making our stay a great experience.

We had the pleasure of staying at Leobay for 6 weeks while we waited for our house purchase to go through - and we couldn't have found a better place. The weather was fantastic and the site looked a real picture.
The owners and their assistants were fabulous. Not only did they keep the best CL type site I have ever stayed at but gave us so much help and assistance with our house move as well. Nothing was too much trouble for them and even having to keep our two cars there wasn't a problem to them, unlike other sites who would charge you extra.
I would (and have) recommended their site to my friends. They thoroughly deserve the great comments left by other users.
The BBQ sheltered area was a particularly nice feature with comfortable seating overlooking the bay. The sunsets were amazing.

We have just returned home after our visit to Leobay. We received an impressive welcome from Carol with a tray of tea and biscuits on arrival. The site is unusual as it is approached by a very industrial landscape. However, the site itself is immaculate with beautiful arrangements of flowers throughout. There is even a herb garden where you can help yourself to a whole range. There were also tomatoes growing which we were told to pick if they were ripe. There is free wifi but you need a pitch near the house to access it, otherwise use the garden room which offers amazing views over the estuary, particularly at sunset. Fantastic value for money at this really friendly site. There are only 5 pitches so book early and don't miss out.
