We stayed with a small group on the rally field and were a bit nervous about our first stopover with no electric or 'facilities'. If all CL's are like this we are converts.
Fantastic spot with huge rally field with loads of space. Despite the glorious weather the site wasn't busy so we had it mostly to our small group. Plenty of standpipes and disposal points.
Clean tidy and just a stones throw from the canal with canal life. Two good pubs and other eateries if needed, lovely tow path walks in both directions. Not too far from main roads so easy to get to.
We left on a busy Sunday lunchtime and would have been better off turning right out of the site rather than left.
We hope to return.

We stayed here (albeit on the adjacent Rally Field) for the first time last weekend. Not knowing what to expect, we were pleasantly surprised with the location of this site - a little gem. You are on the doorstep of the Grand Union Canal, and can spend hours whiling away the time watching the narrowboats either from the bank or one of the two pubs. Take a walk towards the tunnel and you can pop in and see the blacksmith at work. A peaceful & picturesque location, perfect for couples or families alike as plenty of space. Facilities are water & CDP, all that's needed really. We look forward to returning here.

The previous review says it all really. It is such a lovely little site and even though no electricity it really doesn't matter. This is our third time back in less than a year and we have also taken friends here to and they have been very impressed. Location is lovely.
Our 20 month old daughter loves going to feed the ducks on the canal. Also Rookey farm is a nice place to go if you have children, its within walking distance from the site.
We have eaten in all three places they have there and all are very good for food.
Great place to walk the dog too as you can walk for miles along the canal one way or go for a little woodland walk the other way.
I couldn't say a bad thing about the site or area and owners are very nice to.

We have stayed at this CL site, which is only 3 miles from home, for the weekend every July for the past 3 years.
The only facilities available are water taps and waste water/rubbish disposal, not much light, but there is an area for hardstanding should the weather not be good.
They also have a large field next door for rallys.
The owners are friendly but they don't live on site so only visit once a day to check thingsover and collect fees.
It is right next to the Grand Union canal with fantastic walks and although you can't see the narrowboats from the site you can hear them.
Stoke Bruerne has a canal museum, children's farm, 2 pubs(one next door with large children's play area), cafe and Indian, but not much else. Themed weekends are held in the village through the year, morris dancing usually first weekend in July.
The nearest large supermarket would be the Tesco in Towcester or there is a garage on the A5 at Paulerspury that has a Budgens. Also convenient for Towcester races or Silverstone events.
Lovely quite site, with plenty of space, in a beautiful location.
