Found this site on this web site. Arrived by going down a very narrow road for 50 mtrs, the gates was closed so had to stop in the lane to find the owner.

David the owner greeted us warmly and showed us where to park, If you are expecting 5star facilities then this is not the site for you, all the facilities were clean and adequate for the site, the toilet block was in a shed structure as was the shower both units, both were newly constructed and worked fine.

The site is Adult only due to the two well stocked lakes and they were good for fishing.

The owner explained that this was the first year of trading and was hoping to make ago of the camping side of the site as he was still trading as a fish farm.

My only criticism was there was no hot water sink for washing your hands in the toilet, and no hot water in the wash up area, this did not worry us as we had our own system in the caravan but would be difficult for campers.

I would recommend the site especial for fishing and would visit again when in the area. You need a car to visit the town and there was a pub 3-4 miles away that does good food.

Just spent a long weekend at Astbury Falls.

We were greeted warmly by David, the owner and directed into position. The 'hardstands' are actually just positions on the rear drive to the main property with adjacent hook-up points.

There are three garden sheds' which contain a toilet in one, a domestic shower in another, and a wash-up sink outside the third - but with only cold water! They were always clean, but there is no washing sink in the toilet. Fortunately we were able to use our on-board facilities.

The site is situated down a narrow and steep single track lane, which brings you to a set of high metal gates. They are not locked, but provide a modicum of security.

Getting out of the lane onto the main road can be hair-raising - the traffic along it is no respect of speed! We were very grateful to the maintenance chap who walked up to the top and both held up the traffic and waved us out on a 'rolling start' onto the main road when we left. Otherwise you are looking at a 1 in 5 hill start from a dead stand onto a rising gradient on a fast road. This would be my main reservation about the site.

Local attractions include the Severn Valley Railway, the Bridgnorth Cliff Tramway, Much Wenlock town & Priory, and the West Midlands Safari Park.

At £20 a night with electric hook-up it is over-priced for the level of facilities.

BUT -- on the positive side, the site is quiet, secure and a pleasant location.
