What a fabulous site. Right on the coastline overlooking the sea. Non electric pitches are right on the seafront. The pitches are on grass and there is loads of space.
Only 1 toilet and shower open in each block plus a disabled toilet. Facilities were clean and sanitising facilities were available.
Waste disposal is clear and wipes provided. There’s a free to use washing machine and a chargeable drier which are a massive bonus. Also a whirly clothes line to dry your clothes.
It’s a community campsite with lots of volunteers manning. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. There were books and games available to borrow in reception and a microwave and freezer for ice packs. We could charge our phones there too.
I think it is £18 for EHU and £14 for non electric. Great value for a fabulous site.

Lovelly wee campsite at the side of the village, large pitches well spaced out,
Immaculate facilities, Single shower and toilet, but, a light to show when occupied, a brilliant idea,
We had a great time and can't fault the site.

Lovely little site with stunning views. Felt most welcome from the minute we drove into the site.
Very clean with lots of extra measures in place during this time.
The community who are looking after this site are doing a great job. Great place for dog walks too. There is a shop a short walk away but that is all.
This is the ideal site to just get away from it all.

Sitting right on the sea shore with views across to the Mull of Galloway, a perfect setting. Ideal base for touring the Isle of Whithorn area.
Well stocked local shop a 5 minute walk away. Walk the coastal route to the shop and see the Minky Whale.
Site adjacent to a lovely play-park which our granddaughter (4) loved visiting first thing in the morning and last thing at night before bedtime.
Staff were most helpful and precautions for covid were excellent with sanitisers at every water point and at chemical toilet disposal area.

Lovely little campsite in a great location, right on the coast, overlooking the pebble and shingle beach, a few minutes walk from the village.
The village play area is right next to the campsite so great for kids. The site is run by volunteers from the community who maintain it really well and everyone we dealt with was friendly and helpful.
The pitches are large and well spaced out, all grass but its very well drained so no issues. Great value too, £51 for three nights with EHU.
We had our bikes and went for a cycle up to the Drumtroddan Standing Stones, then round Myreton Loch and back to the coast via Monreith with a stop-off at Barshalloch Iron Age Fort. In the evening we had a campfire on the beach and watched the sunset.
There is a sandy beach on the other side of the village where we went for a swim.

Really pleasant staff, who were welcoming and helpful right from our arrival.
Allocated pitch with electric hook up was very large and with a great sea view.
Very reasonable cost even with no shower or toilet facilities
We will definitely be back and would recommend 😊

Brilliant location right on the shore.
Clean Toilets and showers
Friendly wardens
Grass pitches, almost hard standing, 3 inches down, rock solid!
Very, very good value at £15 per night!
Only one fly in ointment, that the hotel / pub is now closed!
