Stopped off for a night on way to Coverack. The fields are well kept. The view of the sea is idyllic. The walk down to Polperro was simple, although the walk back was more difficult due to the very steep hill! The toilets and shower are the worst we've ever seen.
We didn't risk a shower as the tray was full of black hair. The sink was so small with nowhere to put wash things, we had told hold each others bags. While we were washing the husband of another camper had to use the ladies shower as there was no hot water in the gents.
Last but not least the chemical waste area was next to the ladies and the stench was disgusting. Such a shame as the site itself is perfect.

What a lovely little campsite with amazing views of the sea. The campsite is basic, shower, toilets and one sink for washing up but there are only two fields for camping on so it's fine. The owners were lovely and very helpful and the facilities and site were very clean.
The walk into Polperro is down a steep lane and the walk back up the hill is a good workout, but it's cheaper to camp for the night, than to pay for parking in the village.
I wish I could have stayed longer!

Having read lots of the reviews before picking this site, I would suggest you do the same. Very accurate in what they say. Lovely views on a very basic site. One shower for men and one for women, only a dozen other campers on site at our visit and never a queue for them.
The owners are so nice.
Access with a motor home (6mtr) is very tight so stock up well before arrival.
John met us at Pelynt Church and guided us down a single track lane for 2 miles, thanks for that.
Its a steep down hill walk to Polperro (1 mile) we did walk back on each occasion (I am 64 and of ok health) just took our time.
Also walked to Looe and got the bus back.
Its an absolute Must for Cornwall.

Found this site by accident when we left a site for being far too noisy. What a great find! Facilities were basic but very clean. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. There were great views and a lovely dog walk around the adjoining field. The only thing that spoilt it was the amount of seasonal caravans around the edge blocking the best views but apart from that I would definitely return. Great value for money and close to Polperro town.

We chose this site on spec at the start of our tour of Cornwall. They were very helpful on the phone and as we were not due to arrive until later in the evening, they told us to head to our pitch and they would be over in the morning for the fees, and they were at 08:00 on a Sunday.
The site served its purpose for us perfectly and we decided to stay two nights in the end. It is fairly basic but has everything needed for a holiday.
The facilities consist of two toilets and one shower for the ladies and one toilet, urinals and one shower for the mens. There were also three portaloos in case the site got busier. There is also a wash up room with one sink.
We never had a problem with hot water and this was plentiful for both showering and washing up.
The facilities are not all singing and all dancing, but they were very clean, functional and every time I used them they served their purpose perfectly. The shower may not have been the most powerful, but it got me wet, it got me clean and the same for the mens. There was always handwash by the sinks, as in the mens too and there was washing up liquid supplied.
Plenty of fresh water taps dotted around the site and they operate recycling of glass, paper, tins, etc.
The first field is for camping and is more sheltered and offers plenty of space for the kids to play, run around, etc.
The second field has statics and seasonals all around the edges with the occasional space for tourers, motorhomes to use them. These have electric hookup and offer the better views of polperro.
No play park or anything for the kids, but who needs that when you have huge fields.
The dog walk field is huge, I ran the perimeter twice and the distance was 1. 3 miles. Perfect for any pooch.
The site is really well located for Polperro and is just a 15/20 minute walk down the rather steep hill. Polperro is wonderful with so many gallery type shops, gift shops, pubs and restaurants. We had a pint in the Blue Peter and they offer great real ales as well as the usual wines and lagers, etc.
We did not eat in any pubs or restaurants but the choices on offer looking at the menus was enough for all tastes and budgets.
The harbour is lovely and the walks along the coastal path can take you for miles.
The walk back to the site is very steep but not too bad, although I did see a couple of others getting cabs back if required.
Looe is fairly close which is gorgeous seaside town, plus all of the local Cornish attractions.
Overall, very helpful owners, very reasonably priced at £15 for two adults, one 15 year old, a dog, campervan and electric hookup.
Yes we would come back if in the area.

Stayed here for 1 night when touring Cornwall. This is a great stop if you want to visit Polperro. Its literally 10mins walk downhill into the harbour (about 20mins uphill to get back)
Pitches are large and well maintained. This is a cheap site and shows as v limited facilities. The showers are v basic (1 shower and 1 toilet (for male and 1 again for female). AS we were out of season, this wasn't a problem, but there are quite a few fixed caravans there so in peak season, this could be a problem). A nice shower, toilet and cleaning block would be a great bonus (but you get what you pay for). No play area for kids. Small dog walking area. No probs with electric points. The site is hard to find (down some very long, thin lanes), so the owner very kindly meets you in a local village and guides you in and out again when leaving). Will stay again if visiting Polperro (as saves driving a motorhome there and paying £11 for parking!)

Oh my goodness. How rarely do you find a campsite as perfect as this. The weather helped as we had glorious weather, a bit windy at night times which can make the tent flap but being on a hill you would expect that!
The shower block is basic but perfectly adequate, cleaned regularly and hot flowing water. The 2 fields are both very different, one caravan focused with sea views and the tent field has a standing stone, more shelter and lovely views of the fields. The cows are great neighbours and like to wake you from 7. 15 am daily however by day 3 the children were sleeping through the dawn chorus!
The dog walking field is HUGE and great for kite flying! About 2-3 acres of electric fenced field where dogs can run freely with no worries on losing them. Dogs are so welcome in the entire area. Dog bowls outside many shops and more dogs than people at times. Dogs welcome into most pubs and even the local pet shop in Looe.
Had some great chats with the farmer and his wife and they are very welcoming, often delivering our ice blocks to the tent for us. If you want a magical place that's peaceful and away from the more commercial razzmatazz that camping can be then this is the gem for you! It's close to some gorgeous Cornwall villages such as Looe and Fowey and Polperro. Awesome beaches at Talland Bay, Seaton Plaidy. Excellent local beer (Tribute and Doom Bar)and some lovely eateries and the crabbing potential of this place is on a par with Bembridge harbour in Isle of Wight but the crabs in Cornwall are twice the size! Kept the children amused for hours and cheap too!
The kids would only improve this place by adding a stream, possibly a tree house and tree swing. For us we think if there were fire pits or the ability to have a camp fire it would be the icing on the cake. Also due to the lack of light pollution the stars on display on a clear night are amazing. We so didn't want to leave but will return soon. As my son said to the farmer as we left ' goodbye for now, but you so haven't seen the last of us!'

Found this site by chance but is is a little gem. If you like a quiet site with fantastic views then this one if for you, it is on a working beef farm, it has a sea view and rolling fields all around. The site has full camping facilities including electric hook up, but is away from the noise of a big site (swimming pool club house etc. )I had trouble finding the place and John, the farmer, came to find me and bring me in.
Although it is remote, it only takes 10 minutes to walk into Polperro, a bit longer to walk back as it is uphill, and if you are like me you may have found a pub or 2 around the harbour. The shower block was 100% clean every time we used it and although it is a bit basic by some standards you won't be disappointed. Many attractions nearby, very basic shopping in Polperro but everything you need in Looe, about 4 miles away.
We booked for a week and stayed an extra 4 nights. Loved the place, hope you will too.

After reading some of the reviews on here I was wondering what we had booked into, with a tent with 2 adults and 5 children.
The site was wonderful. The views were fantastic, there was plenty of space, the facilities were very clean, if a little basic, but having said that I went with my eyes open and was not disappointed. There was never a queue for the toilet, or the shower, and although it was not a power shower it was adequate and served its purpose very well. Add to this the fact they were cleaned twice daily I have absolutely no reason to complain.
The walk from the site to Polperro was a little ambitious for 5 young children, but we had no issues taking a car, and there were plenty of other fascinating walks to beaches for exercise.
The people running the site were very friendly, we were greeted with a smile, shown to our pitch and were offered plenty of help, we were visited again in the evening by the lady I booked with to see if everything was ok, and she was also very friendly.
Overall, we had a fantastic week, the children played and were happy, the other campers were friendly and the site was well kept with very pleasant owners. A very good week. Thank you

Nice site and well looked after.
Views of the sea are a bit limited but you do get nice views of the country side as well.
Toilet facilities are very basic. The shower is nothing more than a dribble but, we have a brilliant shower in our caravan so, this did not matter.
Its about a 15 min walk into Polperro and is all downhill. Very steep coming back but, if you are fit then its not a problem.
Polperro is one of the nicest places I have visited in Britain and I have been there several times and never tire of it. Its gorgeous. We love the pubs and shops and everyone is so friendly.
The weather was fantastic. I would definitely return
