Visited at short-notice for a few nights around an airshow at IWM Duxford (6 miles away). Great site with easy access, level pitch and not overcrowded. A decent proper pub 5 minutes walk away, the Pheasant and the Red Cow a couple of miles away.
There's a B road runs along the hedge, which is used - so occasional traffic noise.
The site is a working farm with sheep, guinea fowl and chickens all next to the camping field - great for the kids. Rolling fields beyond gives a fab backdrop.
Facilities were fine, with a toilet and shower - although only a cold tap for washing up, and I'm told the shower cut out a bit, but I used the caravan for showers.
Royston is a few miles away with all the amenities of a small town, handy for all your needs.
We will be visiting again I'm sure.
We paid £15pn without EHU, so not the cheapest, but reasonable.

Very nice site friendly owners. Nice views over the countryside. Toilets and showers spotless. Short walk to pub in village.
Handy for imperial war museum, Duxford. Quite close to M11 motorway so handy stop off if travelling North or south. Very reasonably priced.
Nice dog friendly site on a working farm. Will definitely use again.

We have just spent 11 nights at this lovely site. It is set in a picturesque village, close to Royston. The site is nice and level, with a very gentle slope for drainage. There are no gravity issues here at all. The 16 amp ehu was faultless.
The very nice toilet and shower room looked reasonably new, and was always spotlessly clean. Despite the fact that there is only one of each, we never had to queue at all. The shower is of the domestic variety, which is a nice change from the push button types.
The only very minor downside is that there is only cold water in the covered dishwasher area. The owners, Elly & Tom, generally leave you to enjoy your visit, but are very helpful with local advise, etc.
The nearby shop and post office in the next village is extremely well stocked, and not pricy at all. They open every day, but with shorter hours on weekends.
The Pheasant pub in Great Chishill is well worth a visit.

Spent one night here in September, en route to Norfolk. A pleasant grass field, EHU available, lovely views over farmland to north.
There is a bit of a walk up the path to the wash/shower facility through the trees which is unlit, so a torch is handy. We went to do washing up after dark and found there was no light in the wash up area, and only cold water in the tap. Otherwise the facilities were excellent, but just the one shower.
Access gate is padlocked, and a code permits entry/exit for vehicles.
A lane passes the camping field with some traffic, but not excessive.
A mile and a half away, Barley Post Office is a small well stocked store with fresh bread and milk.
Would use this site again.

Just spent two nights here with 3 other families. Fantastic CL with great views. Toilet and shower were very clean. Very spacious pitches with a separate area for tents. Two sets of gates with the outer one nearest the road padlocked, so very secure.
Pheasant pub 5 mins walk away, we did not eat but sat out in the garden as it was so hot when we visited. Loads of footpaths accessible from the site. We will definitely be back again.

This is a rare little gem of a site. It's on a working farm with beautiful views over the surrounding countryside. The owners are lovely and welcoming. The facilities are spotless. It's a small scale site so there are few pitches but they are level and the grass is a lovely natural carpet (no hardstanding - which I see as a plus). They don't charge extras for having dogs etc. It's so refreshing.
The village is short walk away with a great pub. There's a huge supermarket in Royston 20 mins up the road (you can park motorhomes here). I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you want a small slice of living in the country.

Stayed here for 9 nights and it was fantastic, arrived earlier than expected but a quick call and we were in. Tom arrived shortly after to welcome us and see if we were happy or needed anything.
Site is flat and level, I used a 1' plank to level the van.
Ground was hard as in I needed to hammer rather than push the pegs in,
The toilet and shower were always spotless as were the washing up facilities and located a short walk from the camping field.
Ehu is 16 amps and no issues, fresh water point by the gate.
Tom was always friendly and happy to chat even though I imagine he has a mountain of work running the farm.
There's a small cabin with recycle bins in but also contains boxes with useful items, books, leaflets and local info etc.
Locally we tried the pheasant pub excellent food and very friendly.
There were bus stops in the village though we didn't see any.
2 train stations at Royston and Whitlesford parkway about £5 and 9 min to Cambridge and £25 for day rider (it was 23. 50 just for a return) and an hour to London
Duxford is fantastic but arrive at opening time as not enough time in a day to see it all.
Royston ok for supermarkets but mostly disappointing as was lechworth garden city, Safron walden is very nice good for walks shops and just a pleasant place to be.
This site is fantastic and a credit to Tom and Elle we will be returning

We stayed here for 2 nights in a small tent. It cost £15 per night and was a very secure site because it had a locking gate that you had to have the code for.
There was a small new toilet block with 1 toilet and 1 shower. The facilities were always clean and it appeared that the owners gave it a thorough clean every morning.
The site had a lot of caravans staying and a couple of tents. Even though the site was fairly busy there was never a queue for the toilet.
The ground was quite hard which made it tricky to get the tent pegs in but this was not really a big issue. The camping field was located next to a busy country lane. We were allocated a pitch right next to the hedge by the road. This meant that it was quite noisy at night with cars speeding up the road. If you were staying in a caravan it wouldn't be so noticeable as it was in a tent.
Owners were very friendly as were fellow campers using the site. There was a lovely view from the camping field. We would recommend this campsite.

Fantastic place ! / Great views !
Good clean facilities ! / Frendly owners!
Spent a long weekend there with the family four kids, 1 wife and two OAPs and we loved the place!
We have just brought the caravan and have never been touring before so the awning was fun at first NOT! the marriage was saved by a very helpful Keith who was staying opposite us and came over to help us out! Amazed how friendly everyone is on the camp site.
We are planning to go back soon !

Spent a week here. Friendly welcome from owners. Nicely tended level field with marvellous views across open countryside to Cambridge. Spotless toilet and shower. Good food avalable at the Pheasant (but note no under 14s).
Being overflown by the occasional Spitfire from Duxford was an added bonus.
We'll be back.
